My name is Marcela Rosemberg, and I enjoy working with languages.
My mother tongue is Spanish, I was born in Argentina though I have lived in Barcelona for over six years now.
I have studied English since kidergarten, and at the age of ten started with French lessons at school, too. In high school I got First Certificate, TOEFL and CAE certificates, participated in an Student exchange program in a New York Preparatory, and went on studying until a year after graduating I had my Proficiency certificate and had completed the 6 years of Aliançe Française. At University I got my degree in Modern Literature and Spanish Linguistics (specialized in semiotics), and also attended English literature classes at the School of Languages. I am currently studying catalan.
I have worked as a private teacher for more than 10 years, mostly preparing young students for English level exams, although I have also been a substitute teacher in different schools and institutes, teaching both English and Spanish, languaje and literature.
While studying I translated several literary texts (narrative) from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, and in Spain I translated a biblioteconomy software manual and user's guide from English to Spanish. I also contributed to the translation of an e-commerce website for furniture trade, and did the editing and proofreading of their catalogue and of some marketing texts in both English and Spanish. Finally, I also have experience in editing and proofreading texts related to arts, festivals and exhibitions for cultural associations.
