I was born, raised and educated in Canada where I excelled in English language, literature and grammar classes.
In University, my major was English.
I am an English Second Language teacher and most of my 12 years of teaching has been in Guatemala.
I completed an intensive Grammar Analysis course which detailed differences between Spanish and English grammar and I passed the course with a grade of 95%.
When international dignitaries met in Guatemala City for the International Olympics Committee conferences in 2007, I was chosen to act as a translator and interpreter.
Since my return to Canada in 2008, I have been interpreting and translating for various organizations on an on-call basis.
Before returning to teaching, I worked from 2008 - 2009 as a project assistant for engineers and executives of a major oil exploration company. |
