I discovered the wonder of Chinese after completing an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Rochester. I've now been living in China for over 3 years, teaching English, studying Chinese and Economics, and doing some translating on the side.
I completed a full semester of undergraduate economics courses, taught in Chinese to a 95% Chinese student body, and passed the highest level of the Chinese proficiency exam (HSK). Afterwards I earned a master's degree in Pacific Asian studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
In addition to traveling and all things Asian, my interests include science, cooking, and bicycles. I enjoy reading Chinese sci-fi novels. |
