Der Sohn des Brahmanen
Im Schatten des Hauses, in der Sonne des Flußufers bei den Booten, im Schatten des Salwaldes, im Schatten des Feigenbaumes wuchs Siddhartha auf, der schöne Sohn des Brahmanen, der junge Falke, zusammen mit Govinda, seinem Freunde, dem Brahmanensohn. Sonne bräunte seine lichten Schultern am Flußufer, beim Bade, bei den heiligen Waschungen, bei den heiligen Opfern. Schatten floß in seine schwarzen Augen im Mangohain, bei den Knabenspielen, beim Gesang der Mutter, bei den heiligen Opfern, bei den Lehren seines Vaters, des Gelehrten, beim Gespräch der Weisen. Lange schon nahm Siddhartha am Gespräch der Weisen teil, übte sich mit Govinda im Redekampf, übte sich mit Govinda in der Kunst der Betrachtung, im Dienst der Versenkung. Mehr als sie alle aber liebte ihn Govinda, sein Freund, der Brahmanensohn. Er liebte Siddharthas Auge und holde Stimme, er liebte seinen Gang und den vollkommenen Anstand seiner Bewegungen, er liebte alles, was Siddhartha tat und sagte, und am meisten liebte er seinen Geist, seine hohen, feurigen Gedanken, seinen glühenden Willen, seine hohe Berufung. In the shade of the house, in the sun that shone on the riverbank and on the boats, in the shade of the sal forest, in the shade of the fig tree, Siddhartha, the beautiful son of the Brahmin, the young falcon, grew up together with Govinda, his friend, the Brahmin's son. The sun tanned his light-skinned shoulders on the banks of the river, when he bathed, during the holy ablutions, during the holy sacrifices. Shade flowed into his black eyes in the mango grove, when he played with his friends, when his mother sang, during the holy sacrifices, when his father, the scholar, taught, when the wise men conversed. Siddhartha had already taken part for a long time in the conversation of the wise men and practiced the art of debate, of observation and of meditation with Govinda. He already understood how to silently speak the word om, the word of words, to speak it silently within his inner being while inhaling, to whisper it out silently from his spirit with exhalation, with his soul focused, his forehead luminous with the brilliance of the clear thinking mind. He had already grasped the art of knowing the Atman within his psyche, indestructible, one with the universe.
His father's heart jumped for joy when he thought about his son, his learned offspring, thirsty for knowledge, and he saw him developing into a great sage and priest, a prince among the Brahmins.

But Govinda, his friend, a Brahmin's son, loved him more than all the rest. He loved Siddhartha's eyes and sweet voice, he loved his walk and the perfect decency of his movements, he loved everything that Siddhartha did and said, and most of all he loved his spirit, his high, fiery thoughts, his ardent will, his high calling. Govinda knew that his friend would not become a common Brahman, he would not turn into a lazy sacrificial official, a greedy merchant of spells, or a vain, empty orator, a wicked, deceitful priest, or a good, stupid sheep in the herd of the many. No, and he too, Govinda, did not want to become such a one, not a Brahmin, as there are ten thousand. He wanted to follow Siddhartha, the Beloved, the Magnificent. And if Siddhartha were to become a god, if he were to enter into the realm of radiant beings, then Govinda wanted to follow him, as his friend, as his companion, as his servant, as his spear bearer, his shadow.

Ein französischer Maler soll vor vielen hundert Jahren diese Karnevalsgruppen so geschickt, in so reichem und überraschendem Wechsel komponiert haben, daß man – selbst am lichten Tage – hinter jeder Figur immer noch neue, phantastisch verkleidete Gäste auftauchen sieht. Two Stories about Prague
The atmosphere was then transformed into something similar to the ambience in Krummau Castle's great hall, a place where masked balls took place. The walls of the hall are painted up to the arched, echoing ceiling with life-sized figures. A French painter is said to have composed these carnival groups many centuries ago, so skillfully, so richly and with such surprising variety, that, even in the light of day, new, fantastically clothed guests crop up behind every figure. In Krummau, however, people know for sure that this is not due to the painter's merits, but due to the strange circumstance that the knights and ladies begin to awaken at a certain hour to repeat the spectacle of that distant night. Climbing out of the walls, the shimmering throng fills the hall. Until the huge grenadiers at the door of the hall push the halberds hard onto the floor: then the dancers arrange themselves into rows. A clap of thunder rolls over them. Prince Julius Caesar, the second Rudolf's secret son, drives up the protruding ramp with his wild, black six-horse carriage, and scarcely a breath later he stands, black and slender, in the midst of the guests, who make a deep, deep bow, like a cypress in an undulating field of wheat.

"You didn't get it quite right, but, because it's you, Peter the collier, I'll let you pass the test", spoke a gentle, soft voice beside him. Astonished, he looked around and saw a little old man in a black doublet and red stockings with a big hat on his head, seated under a beautiful pine. He had a fine, friendly little face and a little beard as soft as cobwebs. He was smoking, which was strange to see, from a pipe of blue glass, and, when Peter came closer, he saw to his astonishment that even the clothes, shoes and hat of the little one consisted of colored glass. But the colored glass was soft and supple, as if it were still hot, because it bent like cloth with each movement of the little man.
"So you encountered that lout, Mitchell the Dutchman?" said the little man, as he coughed strangely between each word, "he wanted to frighten you quite a bit, but I snatched away his magic cudgel - he will never get it back."
"Yes, Mr. Treasure Master," Peter replied with a low bow, "I was really frightened. But you must have been Mr. Wood Grouse, who bit the serpent and killed it; I thank you so very much. Das Forschungsgebiet der Molekularbiologie überlappt dabei immer mehr mit weiteren Feldern der Biologie und Chemie, insbesondere der (molekularen) Genetik und der Biochemie. Die Grenzen zwischen diesen Fachbereichen sind dabei oft fließend. Der Name für dieses Fach wurde bereits in den 1930er Jahren verwendet, jedoch erst 1952 durch den englischen Physiker und Molekularbiologen William Astbury entscheidend geprägt.
Translation - English Molecular biology is the study of the structure and function of biological macromolecules. It thus deals with the structure, biosynthesis and function of DNA and RNA on a molecular level and investigates how DNA and RNA interact with each other and with proteins. The research field of molecular biology overlaps more and more with additional fields that are part of biology and chemistry, especially (molecular) genetics and biochemistry. The boundaries between these subjects are often fluid. The name “molecular biology” was used as early as the 1930s, but was only decisively defined in 1952 by the English physicist and molecular biologist William Astbury.
