Así lo anunciaron el gerente General del Grupo GTD, Alberto Bezanilla, y el gerente de Negocios Móviles de GTD Móvil, Luis Muñoz, en el lanzamiento de servicios comerciales del MVNO en Santiago y el norte de Chile. Translation - English The company GTD will invest between US$ 300 million and US$ 350 million over the next five years. Source text - Spanish El Ministerio de Comunicaciones creó el Consejo Consultivo de Radio Digital, el que cumplirá funciones de asesoramiento para la implantación de la radio digital en el país. Ese consejo estará integrado por representantes del gobierno federal, del Poder Legislativo, del sector de radiodifusión y de la industria.
La nominación de los integrantes deberá realizarse en un plazo de 30 días y se estima que las primeras reuniones podrán realizarse a partir de octubre próximo. También se indicó que además de participar en la eleción de la norma que se utilizará para la radio digital en el país, tendrá ingerencia en temas relacionados con el financiamiento de la transición del sistema, parámetros internacionales y otras cuestiones técnicas.

Ernesto Vargas, presidente de Dish México, señaló que rechazaron entrar a este mercado, “dado que la forma en la que se diseñó la transición digital favorece a Televisa y Televisión Azteca”.
La Comisión Federal de Telecomunicaciones (COFETEL) aseguró que antes del 30 de noviembre tendrán listas las bases y la convocatoria para participar en la licitación de frecuencias para televisión abierta digital.

Source text - Spanish Acision anunció que Fátima Raimondi será la nueva presidenta de la empresa en Latinoamérica. La nueva titular reemplazará en el cargo a Vancrei Oliveira, quien pasó a encabezar las operaciones de Deutsche Telekom en el país. Hasta esta designación, Raimondi se desempeñó como presidenta de Ericsson en Brasil y anteriormente había sido titular de la filial de Ericsson para el Cono Sur.
Translation - English Acision announced that Fátima Raimondi will be the new president of the company in Latin America.
