I am a bi-lingual mother, (with English language mother-tongue) writer and author, and ex-concert classical guitarist with extensive experience translating from Spanish to English. I was educated in the International School of Geneva, Switzerland and continued my studies at the Conservatoire Superieure de Musique there. My French is now B1 level approximately. My background means I am at ease in multicultural environments

I am a writer and published author of “Flamenco: All You Wanted To Know” printed and distributed by Mel Bay, U.S.A.
My speciality subject is flamenco music and history, also classical guitar and classical music in general. Since flamenco is considered a culture as well as a musical form, my expertise extends into history, socio-politics and general knowledge.

Since the late 1990s I have translated books, manuals, treatises, DVD scripts and sleeve notes from Spanish to English for the Spanish multi-media publishing company RGB Arte Visual S.L, Madrid. I have also translated the sleeve notes for numerous CD companies including SONIFOLK S.A. Madrid, and written and translated the sleeve notes for Doberman-Yppan Canada, and GSP productions, U.S.A.

Since 2007 I have been teaching English as Second Language (TEFL certified), based in Spain. I have also completed the IoLet Diploma preparatory course, intending to take the exam in January 2014


My translating experience ranges from university thesis and musical texts, to didactic works on the classical guitar and flamenco repertoire. I am specialised in the translation of music-related texts and books and will also undertake poetry, non-fiction and fiction works.
