SUMMARY: A French native based in Manchester with eight years’ experience as a professional translator, I have been working both as a literary translator for Parisian publishers and as a 'pragmatic' (specialised) translator for translation agencies and private clients alike. My experience further includes training in audiovisual translation, and I have taken a particular interest in the little-known field of song tradaptation. As a result, I believe I am a versatile translator, equally at ease working with an eclectic range of source material, and capable of transferring and applying skills across translation projects. My postgraduate training in specialised translation combined with my linguistic and literary studies make me a disciplined translator capable of conducting research effectively and producing accurate translations, but also one who knows meaning cannot be conveyed without attention being paid to style and form. A skilled wordsmith with a genuine passion for languages, I am exacting in my work and I value quality and creativity in translation, whilst always tailoring my work to the unique needs of each client.
