Oli kyse kummasta tahansa - tai olet muuten vain kiinnostunut lemmikkilinnuista - Lemmikkilinnut Kaijuli ry on juuri oikea yhdistys sinua varten.
Lemmikkilinnut Kaijuli ry on yli 300 jäsenellään Suomen suurin lemmikkilintu- ja papukaijayhdistys. “Kaijulit” toimii aktiivisesti koko maan tasolla, järjestäen harrastajille tapahtumia ja palveluita sekä edistäen lemmikkinä elävien lintujen hyvinvointia monilla eri tavoilla. Yhdistyksen toiminta voidaankin jakaa pääpiirteittäin kahteen osaan, jotka tietenkin menevät toistensa päälle osittain:
-Lemmikkinä elävien lintujen hyvinvoinnin edistäminen mm. jakamalla tietoa lemmikkilintujen omistajille ja sellaista lemmikiksi harkitseville.
-Harrastusta helpottavien tai muuten hyödyllisten palveluiden ja toiminnan järjestäminen yhdistyksen jäsenille.
Pyrimme edistämään eettistä lemmikkilintuharrastusta myös tekemällä yhteistyötä muiden toimijoiden kanssa. Autamme mielellämme median edustajia tiedon hankkimisessa sekä teemme yhteistyötä viranomaisten ja eläinsuojeluun liittyvien yhdistysten kanssa.
Tervetuloa mukaan, tehdään yhdessä Suomesta parempi paikka lemmikkilinnuille!
Viimeisten vuosien aikana yhdistys on käynnistänyt useita palveluita, jotka ovat olleet toiminnan tavoitteina jo alusta asti, kuten kasvattajalista sekä linturekisteri. Tämä ei kuitenkaan tarkoita, että olisi aika jäädä lepäämään laakereilleen, vaan tekemistä riittää edelleen.
Nykyisen aktiivisen toiminnan jatkamisen lisäksi lähitulevaisuuden tärkeitä tavoitteitamme ovat mm. vaikuttaminen eläinsuojelulakiin ja siihen liittyvään työhön. Näiden tiimoilta pyrimme myös lisäämään yhteistyötämme viranomaisten kanssa. Lisäksi haluamme järjestää aktiivista toimintaa ympäri maata, ei vain etelän perinteisesti aktiivilla alueilla. Pyrimme myös entisestään kehittämään tiedonvälitystä ja lisäämään esimerkiksi nettisivuilla saatavilla olevaa tietoa sekä tapahtumissa jaettavia esitteitä.
Translation - English Are you a pet bird hobbyist, wanting to offer your pet bird the best life possible? Are you just considering getting to the field of a pet bird hobby and would like to get more information on the subject? Or are you just interested in pet birds? Whichever your reason is, Lemmikkilinnut Kaijuli is just the right association for you.
With more than 300 members Lemmikkilinnut Kaijuli is the largest pet bird- and parrot association in Finland. Members are organizing meetings and services to the hobbyists nationwide, promoting welfare of the pet birds in many ways. Operational goals of Kaijuli may be separated to two main parts, which are partly the same:
-To promote the welfare of the pet birds by sharing information to the bird owners and to those who consider getting a pet bird.
-To provide facilitating or otherwise useful services to the members of the association.
Our goal is to promote ethically right pet bird hobby by cooperating with other factors. We are more than happy to help media representatives to gather rightful information. We are also cooperating with the authorities and other associations aiming to animal welfare.

During the last few years Lemmikkilinnut Kaijuli has started several services, which have been a goal from the beginning. Like breeders list and bird register. Although this does not mean that it’s time to rest. There is still plenty to do.
In addition to the current operation, our important goals are to influence animal protection law and actions related to it. In connection with these we are aiming to increase our cooperation with authorities. We are also trying to spread our activity to North, besides the already active South Finland (Turku, Helsinki). Moreover, we are aiming to increase the amount of information available by publishing hobby-related articles on the website and printing flyers to be distributed at the fair.
