L'état de grâce de François Hollande aura été de courte durée puisqu'à peine un an après son arrivée au pouvoir, il a battu son prédécesseur quant au nombre de mécontents. Le nouveau président n'avait pourtant pas ménagé ses efforts pour se présenter comme un homme normal, proche des Français et de leurs préoccupations. Alors pourquoi cette défiance de plus en plus grande à l'égard du pouvoir politique, alors même que ses représantants se veulent plus modernes et plus proches de leurs concitoyens ? Sans doute parce que la réalité que connaît la majorité des Français correspond peu aux discours de ses dirigeants. Une fracture qui peut avoir diverses causes. | Translation - English
François Hollande's honeymoon period was short-lived given that, scarcely a year after he came to power, more people were dissatisfied with him than with his predecessor. However, the new President had spared no effort to present himself as normal, in touch with the French and their concerns. So why is there this ever-increasing mistrust of political power, when its representatives are trying to be more modern and closer to their fellow citizens? Probably because daily reality for most French people bears little resemblance to what those in power are describing. There may be a number of reasons for this rift. |
