English to Chinese: What are probiotics? General field: Marketing Detailed field: Medical: Health Care
Source text - English Our bodies are home to trillions of bacteria – both good and bad -- coexisting together inside our intestines.
While tiny in size, maintaining an ideal balance of these dynamic microorganisms plays a pivotal role on many aspects of our health – from digestion and intestinal function to immunity. Because of their vital influence on human health, many experts consider our gut microbiome to be its own organ.
“Bad bacteria” are harmful because they attack our bodies. When these unwelcome invaders disrupt our intestinal balance, it can cause a chain reaction, leading to gastrointestinal discomforts like indigestion, bloating, occasional constipation, and an upset stomach.
“Good bacteria” – also known as probiotics – are beneficial because they defend our bodies against harmful bacteria and toxins. Naturally occurring in fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kefir, and yoghurt, these friendly bacteria also help break down our food, aid nutrient absorption, and boost immune function. Our levels of good bacteria not only decline as we age, theyare also easily damaged by poor lifestyle choices.Introducing good bacteria to our diets can go a long way to helping us achieve just the right balance of microflora needed for optimal gut health…which is why NHT Global created Enhanced Essential Probiotics.
Translation - Chinese
