On February 22nd, 1996 the Colombian Ministry of Justice and Law issued the Resolution Number 0136 whereby Michael was granted a license to perform the functions of Official Translator and Interpreter in the Languages ENGLISH - SPANISH and SPANISH - ENGLISH.
Subsequently, he registered his signature with the Ministry of Foreign Relations of Colombia, Authentications Office, with the United States and Canadian Embassies in Bogota, Colombia, and with the Australian Embassy in Santiago, Chile.
Since then, he has done Official (Certified) translations for thousands of customers, mainly Colombian citizens who are traveling to the United States or sending documents to relatives and friends in the United States. His translations have also been used by customers in connection with student, business, investor and other professional visa applications in Canada, England, Australia, Ireland, Colombia, Mexico and other countries.
Michael studied Business Administration at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, U.S.A. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree on August 29th, 1980. He obtained his High School degree in June, 1974 from Colegio Karl C. Parrish, a Bilingual, Bi-national (Colombian - American) School in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Since 1984 Michael has been working as an English teacher. He worked at a number of English-teaching institutes and also independently. He has translated for students, businessmen and many others since the time he was stuying at the University, in the late 70's. |
