I am a native German-speaker fully at home in English and Norwegian due to extensive work and living experiences both in Norway and Australia. I am familiar with the cultural context of each language, as well as the specifics of Australian, British and American English and the two language variants spoken in Norway, bokmål and nynorsk. Born in Austria, I also have an intimate understanding of the differences between the German spoken and written in Austria and Germany.

I have always been interested in translation but came to be a freelancer from a different angle. While I was working as a project manager in a small translation agency in Norway, I gained in-depth knowledge in how to deal with translation projects, and I decided to pursue my own translation career. Starting out on my own, my insider perspective as a project manager was very valuable, and it is something that me and my clients still benefit from today.

With over 10 years experience in various positions in tourism, the translation of tourism-related material comes naturally. Lately, I also have broadened my focus to the translation of legal/business texts, with particular emphasis on contracts and tenders. In addition to a degree in translation, I also have a university education in business administration and have extensive knowledge in business terminology.

My greatest strengths are my understanding of the cultural specifics of both the source and target languages I work with, my passion for languages in general and my desire for perfection. As a result, I deliver accurate and smooth flowing translations, and I am a reliable partner you can trust to deliver high quality on time.
