Bio
Words are my passion. I love the way they move through time, combine and connect, bounce across borders. The words we choose can mean the difference between being heard and being understood. When clarity and creativity unite, our words can do great things.
Quality translation requires more than just language skills; it requires good writing. I go the extra mile to ensure that the content I work with sounds as natural and well-written in the target language as it does in the source.
In the last twenty years, I have worked in both the U.S. and Latin America as a freelance and in-house writer, translator, and editor and have more than a decade of experience in the international development sector, with a focus on housing and human settlements. I have a B.A. in Creative Writing and an M.A. in Spanish>English Translation and Interpreting Studies.
My company, Root Words Language Services, provides tailored Spanish to English translation and editing services for the international development sector and related fields.
