Työssä tutustuttiin sähköurakan toteutuksen suunnitteluun ja hallintaan. Selvitysten pohjalta luotiin XYZ Oy:lle sähköurakan projektisuunnitelma- ja hallintatyökalu.
Työkalun avulla projekti suunnitellaan huolellisesti ennen varsinaisten töiden aloittamista ja hallitaan suunnitellusti työmaan alettua. Työkalun yhtenä tarkoituksena on auttaa uutta projektinhoitajaa ymmärtämään kokonaisuus sähköurakasta ja sähköurakan kulku käytännössä.
Työkalu laadittiin Sähköpeko Oy:ssä tehdyn haastattelun, XYZ Oy:n projektinhoitajan muistion ja alan kirjallisuuden avulla. Työssä käsitellään sähköurakan suunnittelun ja hallinnan lisäksi yleisiä rakennushankkeeseen kuuluvia tärkeitä asioita kuten rakennushankkeen urakkamuodot, vastuut ja osapuolet.

This research project was undertaken and bases itself on the familiarisation of electrical design work, its planning and the implementation of a management programme. The key objective of the study was to create a project planning and management tool for XYZ company Ltd.
This tool enables a project to be carefully planned, before the commencement of work. The management of the project also involves the meticulous care of the tool after the job has begun. The primary reason for the development of this tool is to assist a novice project manager, thus facilitating his understanding of the complete contractual electric job on hand and its entire process.
The tool was designed based on an interview with XYZ company Ltd's project manager, his memo records, as well as a review of literature from this professional field. The dissertation also deals with electrical contract planning and management. In addition, there are other core areas dealt with which pertain to building contracts, areas such as general construction contract forms, responsibilities and the parties involved.
