John Eastham was born in Lancashire, England in 1960. He came to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain, in 1986 as English reader at the University, and subsequently became actively involved in the cultural life of the city, while honing his skills as translator, interpreter and voice over.

A committed freelancer, he has a list of clients in Galicia, Spain and the UK, where he worked on various projects as interpreter for the film industry.
