Nel quadro del pensiero di padre Pavel A. Florenskij la riflessione estetica costituisce certamente un elemento essenziale. La centralità dell’elaborazione speculativa sull’arte, sulla bellezza e sul simbolo, e loro connessione fondamentale con l’economia complessiva di una filosofia religiosa, nella sua accezione specificamente florenskijana, emergono nitidamente analizzando le premesse teoriche date dalle caratteristiche del pensiero russo del primo Novecento e dal protagonismo di Florenskij nel panorama artistico e letterario. Si è dunque tentato, nel presente elaborato, di delineare per brevi cenni la costellazione filosofica, artistica, letteraria, poetologica della Russia tra XIX e XX secolo e poi contestuale e successiva alla Rivoluzione d’Ottobre, mondo con cui Florenskij ha intrattenuto un sistematico e fecondo dialogo, al punto che la maggior parte delle sue opere filosofiche si configurano come interventi in dibattiti teorici o scritti con intento esplicativo in ambito accademico. Per chiarire la necessaria precomprensione teoretica all’estetica florenskijana si è fatto riferimento all’eredità spirituale della Rus’ medioevale e al suo cosmo simbolico e mistico che ebbe notevole influenza sul filosofo russo, anche in ragione di una sua tangenza con alcune posizioni proprie dello slavofilismo originario; alla prevalenza ontologica ed epistemologica della concezione della spazialità e alle sue implicanze filosofiche; alla visione che caratterizza il nomadismo peregrinante tipico dell’antica Rus’ e le sue relazioni con la filosofia religiosa russa. Si è poi affrontato il dibattito interno all’intelligencjia moscovita ottocentesca, che ebbe importanti ricadute sul pensiero di Florenskij, tra occidentalismo e slavofilismo, nelle loro convergenze e contrapposizioni, rappresentati soprattutto dal pensiero dei filosofi P. Čaadev e I. Kireevskij. Lo slavofilismo ebbe come fondamentale punto di riferimento il recupero della spiritualità esicasta, della teologia mistica di San Gregorio Palamas e del mondo dell’ascetismo ortodosso del monte Athos. Lo studio tipicamente slavofilo delle controversie teologiche interne al mondo bizantino, soprattutto in merito alla genesi dell’immagine sacra cristiana, rappresenta un elemento rilevante nel comprendere i legami intellettuali del pensiero di Florenskij; altrettanto fondamentale risulta la riscoperta della pittura di icone da parte di giovani intellettuali divenuti anche artisti, pittori e restauratori, nella Russia del tempo. In tal senso la salvaguardia delle strutture sociali e della visione propriamente russe negli aspetti più differenti dalla cultura europea moderna, ha caratterizzato gli slavofili come anche diversi elementi della filosofia florenskijana. La riflessione estetica del filosofo di Evlach fu anche in continuità profonda, in molti sensi, con la corrente letteraria, artistica e filosofica del simbolismo russo, legato soprattutto a V. Solov’ëv. Per gli autori influenzati da questa vasta temperie culturale, come il teologo S. Bulgakov che fu grande amico di Florenskij, la Sofia, cioè la sapienza divina, costituisce propriamente la conoscenza del Logos incarnato, nell’intendimento di ripristinare il mondo fenomenico nel suo potenziale teofanico, ovvero nella sua capacità di portare alla luce il divino che lo abita. Nucleo portante del pensiero di Florenskij è infatti l’analisi dell’intrinseca autotrascendenza della forma nel creato, il rinvenimento della compenetrazione tra fenomenico e noumenico, tra immanenza e trascendenza e dunque tra êidos e morphé. Essenziale diviene quindi evidenziare la caratteristica impostazione “polifonica” dell’opera del filosofo russo, incentrata anzitutto sull’indagine della struttura logica del simbolo e sulla relazione sostanziale tra i due poli che lo compongono. Per Florenskij l’esistenza umana si sviluppa costantemente tra “due mondi”, il mondo visibile e quello invisibile, il piano sensibile e quello sovra-mondano e metafisico, proprio degli “archetipi celesti”. Il problema metafisico fondamentale è costituito dal confine tra questi due mondi, la dimensione essenziale di dissomiglianza e contatto in cui si situa l’opera d’arte, integrata nel quadro del culto, inteso come spazio intermedio tra visibile e invisibile. L’iconostasi viene dunque analizzata sulla base culturale e rituale del significato metafisico di questo confine, e le icone come sguardo vivo, come il trasparire della luce divina delle idee eterne, in base alla rivisitazione florenskijana del platonismo nella sua ricezione bizantina. Per Florenskij «l’opera d’arte è dunque un’attività tipicamente di confine, di interfaccia tra costruzione e composizione, tra i diritti del senso della realtà e quelli del senso della possibilità». Infine si è voluto accennare alla teoria della “prospettiva rovesciata” e alla critica di Florenskij verso la prospettiva lineare rinascimentale. Florenskij contrappone alla struttura illusionistica della mimesis prospettica, pensata come espressione simbolica della soggettività moderna attraverso la geometria “kantiano-euclidea” del suo spazio, l’arte dell’icona come sguardo vivo, dove traspare la luce divina del bello metafisico. Nell’elaborazione della sua teoria dell’arte iconica, Florenskij attinge alla tradizione neoplatonica, radicata in ambito bizantino, della corrente giamblichea e procliana, caratterizzata dal predominio della componente teurgica nell’interpretazione dell’arte sacra. Il filosofo russo appare altresì influenzato dalla convergenza di estetica, ascetica e metafisica realizzata negli scritti spirituali della Filocalia, tipici ancora una volta della tradizione ortodossa slava. La prospettiva lineare configura per Florenskij infatti la corruzione della bellezza come splendore della luce indefettibile della sapienza divina, evidente nella grammatica formale e nella simbolica dell’icona. Nell’arte iconica risiede allora una visione del bello in profonda sintonia con le teorie estetiche della Scolastica medievale nella corrente neoplatonica, legate alle nozioni di consonantia e claritas. Il pensiero estetico di Florenskij, in un confronto dialettico col pensiero occidentale, persegue l’ardito tentativo di un’epistemologia del simbolo che tenga insieme la struttura sempre antinomica della verità, partendo dalla domanda essenziale del come sia possibile la ragione stessa ; l’arte diviene disvelamento indisponibile alla concettualizzazione analitica, ma cardine di una comprensione integrale della conoscenza, nel quadro di una visione sapienziale e sofianica.L’arte si pone dunque tra simbolo e teofania, in una filosofia che da amore per la sapienza, come per il suo significato etimologico, diviene nella bellezza, sapienza dell’Amore, dell’ágape cristiano.
1. Le premesse teoriche del pensiero estetico di Florenskij
1.1 Il pensiero di Florenskij come complessa filosofia religiosa
Per introdurre il cammino speculativo di padre Pavel A. Florenskij, anche se circoscritto alla teoresi estetologica, occorre delineare per brevi cenni il particolare contesto culturale, poetico, artistico proprio della Russia a cavaliere tra il XIX e XX secolo; si tratta di un momento contrassegnato dal fiorire di avanguardie, dal determinarsi delle caratteristiche dell’intellingencija moscovita, già chiare peraltro nell’opera dostoevskijana, dall’incedere di eventi storici destinati a mutare radicalmente quel mondo. Florenskij si pone indubbiamente come protagonista indiscusso di quelle vicende e assurge anzi con il supplizio comminatogli dal potere staliniano ad emblema stesso della testimonianza di integrità spirituale cristiana: ciò che ha caratterizzato tutta la sua esistenza. Essenziale è tener presente che l’estetica florenskijana va intesa nell’angolatura della “religioznoe filosofija”, cioè del connubio inscindibile tra religione e filosofia: non una filosofia religiosa ma un habitus mentale in cui pensiero e religione si incontrano in una coscienza religiosa (religioznoe soznanie) che orienta l’esperienza dell’uomo . L’intera economia speculativa della teoresi florenskijana prende le mosse dalla ricerca dell’unità conoscitiva che parte da un radicale rovesciamento ermeneutico dell’idealismo, inteso come un “si” alla vita; nei segreti legami, nei misteriosi vincoli tra finito e infinito e nei fili invisibili che collegano il Cielo dell’Eterno e delle gioie spirituali perenni con la Terra e le sue antinomie, sta la visione di una unitotalità sul modello di Solov’ëv. Si deve parlare, anche in senso estetico, di una “metafisica rifondata” , ovvero di una rifondazione in senso sofianico del simbolo, dell’arte (si pensi alla struttura spazio-temporale della prospettiva rovesciata e al ribaltamento dell’iconologia panofskiana) e della bellezza . Florenskij vuole scorgere l’unità integrale della conoscenza con una relazione tra pensiero ed esistenza strutturalmente aperta al Volto del Salvatore. Come osservava Sergej Bulgakov: «Di tutti i contemporanei che ho avuto la ventura di conoscere nel corso della mia lunga vita, egli è il più grande. E tanto più grande il delitto di chi ha levato la mano su di lui, di chi lo ha condannato a una pena maggiore della morte, a un lungo e tormentoso esilio, a una lenta agonia […]. Padre Pavel per me non era solo un fenomeno di genialità, ma anche un’opera d’arte […]. L’attuale opera di Padre Pavel non sono più i libri da lui scritti, le sue idee e parole, ma egli stesso, la sua vita.» .Si potrebbe forse dire che la condizione tragica dell’umano che Florenskij avverte su di sé assume così un carattere cosmo-teandrico. Gli elementi essenziali del contesto russo di cui il pensiero di Florenskij è impregnato, cui si farà cenno brevemente, sono costituiti anzitutto dalla prevalenza ontologica ed epistemologica dello spazio sul tempo e dunque dall’assenza della nozione occidentale di progresso (e di tradizione) ; dall’iconografia orientale, la particolare idea di “classico” ad essa sottesa e il legame con il culto liturgico; dall’assimilazione dell’eredità del cristianesimo bizantino, da cui proviene la fede stessa del popolo russo, e della spiritualità esicasta e palamita come forme dell’ascetica cristiana; dal determinarsi infine di una precisa fisionomia teoretica dell’ intellingencija moscovita che emergerà nel quadro delle avanguardie artistiche del primo Novecento e nella Società matematica di Mosca in ambito scientifico.
1.2 Il predominio della concezione spaziale e la sua relazione con la coscienza simbolica medievale
Nell’articolato costituirsi dell’autocoscienza etnico-nazionale della antica Rus’ appare rilevante il privilegio attribuito allo spazio e alla spazialità come dimensione dominante rispetto all’assenza della ricezione del tempo lineare proprio della tradizione europea. Come acutamente osserva Vittorio Strada «Una caratteristica del continuum spazio-temporale russo così come è stato vissuto nell’esperienza artistica sembra quello di una preponderanza della sua prima componente sulla seconda, ossia dello spazio sul tempo […] I due maggiori storici russi del XIX secolo Sergej Solov’ëv e Vasilij Ključevskij, hanno insistito sul carattere non-europeo dello spazio geografico russo e sul significato che ciò ha avuto per lo sviluppo storico. […] E’ questa “uniformità” o “omogeneità” delle forme naturali che condiziona l’omogenea uniformità delle occupazioni, delle consuetudini, delle credenze, preparando l’unità statale dell’intera pianura e il saldo legame tra le sue parti.» . La vastità dell’immensa compagine territoriale russa, anche per l’uso del legno russo quale materiale da costruzione per edifici precari, facilmente distrutti, si confaceva ad essere abitata in modo nomadico. Il nomadismo russo si configura in tal senso come una condizione dello spirito, un’inquietudine esistenziale che deriva dall’esperienza di uno spazio deprivato di punti d’elezione, corrispondente ad una sterminata ed indifferenziata omogeneità. Come rileva Salizzoni: «[il nomadismo russo] non viene dall’impulso a superare le frontiere, ma dalla sua nostalgia per l’integrazione in un cosmo. Il nomade russo non ha nessun posto in cui tornare, perché sente il proprio procedere verso il sole che tramonta come un ritorno, perché il suo viaggio è già un ritorno. Il volo esprime l’idea del viaggio come ritorno, come sostanziale abitare: il volo è l’abitare del nomade. In questo senso […] il volo esprime un modo di abitare la storia secondo le dimensioni di un tempo fortemente spazializzato […]. Cosmizzare il mondo attraverso il volo significa farne uno spazio assoluto, che ha chiuso i propri conti con la storia e col tempo definitivamente. Quella storia e quel tempo del principio lineare senza il quale non si può pensare nessuna idea di progresso e non si può avere nessuna esperienza della modernità.» Tre dunque gli elementi che appaiono contrassegnare l’influenza del “nomadismo dello spirito” nel quadro complessivo dell’esperienza culturale russa: la dominanza e la centralità della dimensione spaziale; il cosmismo come matrice tipica del pensiero e dell’arte russa (si pensi a Fëdorov, a Solov’ëv, ai poeti simbolisti e a pittori quali Nesterov e Vasnecov); l’idea del volo come cifra importante della simbolica nella letteratura e nel pensiero . Come già accennato con Salizzoni, il rifiuto della linearità temporale e di una visione evolutiva degli accadimenti storici, come per la nozione occidentale di progresso, comporta una strutturale e irriducibile distanza teorica dalla modernità europea. E’ per questo interessante cogliere in un autore come Florenskij, che è partecipe di tale universo, la meditazione sul pensiero moderno europeo e la sua poetologia, e il tentativo al contempo di rovesciarlo in base alle esigenze teoretiche della teologia slavo-ortodossa. La predominanza della teoria dello spazio e dell’analisi del significato della spazialità, unitamente ad una confutazione del temporalità moderna, appare un tratto caratterizzante del pensiero russo. In Florenskij ciò emerge con straordinaria limpidezza concettuale nel capitolo iniziale Il significato della spazialità all’interno de Lo spazio e il tempo nell’arte, in cui si espone l’aforisma secondo cui la concezione del mondo è una concezione dello spazio, ove “il mondo” non esprime affatto il cosmo o la natura ma l’interezza limite accessibile alla ragione; si tratta di uno dei più importanti co-significati del rapporto interpretativo dei fenomeni della cultura umana, che collega la facoltà di interpretazione con lo spazio, in quanto oggetto particolare e originario e condizione dell’interpretazione. L’esame culturologico della realtà secondo la teoria florenskijana ha un carattere strutturalmente spazio-centrico, nel senso del perseguimento di una totalità sapienziale intesa in senso fortemente avverso alla concezione kantiana, con la quale l’autore si confronta dialetticamente. Lo spazio nella cultura slavo-russa implica dunque, rispetto al tempo, la questione critica del luogo originario del pensiero, elemento tanto più evidente nel plesso pensiero-esistenza e logos-mistero istituito da Florenskij. Si potrebbe aggiungere che la spazializzazione del tempo in senso escatologico-apocalittico, nell’idea del viaggio come nóstos, il ritorno ad una condizione originaria che era stata infranta e ad una comunione dell’abitare divenuta sparpagliata, si leghi all’epistrophé neoplatonica ,al tema della reductio ad unum mutuato dal platonismo bizantino. Le strutture temporali appaiono teleologicamente indirizzate al recupero di tale unità integrale che ricomprende nell’intero le reciproche distinzioni, come in una polifonia corale.

In the framework of father Pavel A. Florensky’s philosophy the aesthetic reflection definitely represents a focal point. What emerges analyzing the theoretical key elements which characterize the russian philosophy and the pivotal role of Florensky in the artistic and literary environment, is the centrality of the philosophical investigation on art, beauty and the symbol and its fundamental connection with the general structure of a, as Florensky defines it, religious philosophy. This paper is, therefore, an attempt to sketch the philosophical, artistic, literary and poetological constellation of Russia between the XIX and XX century and then contextual and subsequent to the October Revolution, a world with whom Florensky engaged a systematic and fruitful dialogue, to the extent that the majority of his philosophical works are conceived while taking part to theoretical debates or as academic papers with an explanatory aim. To introduce the necessary theoretical prerequisites of Florensky’s aesthetics it will be discussed the spiritual heritage of the medieval Rus’ and its mystic and symbolic cosmos, which have deeply influenced the Russian philosopher, also due to the fact that he embraced some of the elements of the original slavophilism; the ontological and epistemological prevalence of the spatial idea and its philosophical implications; the view that characterizes the roaming nomadism typical of the ancient Rus’ and its relations with Russian religious philosophy. We then go through the internal debate of the muscovite intelligencjia, which had important repercussions on Florensky’s philosophy, between the westernizing tendency and the slavophilism, in their convergences and oppositions, expressed especially in the works of the philosopher P. Caadayev and I. Kireyevsky. The essential goal of the slavophilism was the recovery of the hesychast spirituality, of the mystical theology of St. Gregory Palamas and of the world of Mount Athos’s ascetic orthodoxy. The typical slavophile investigation of the inner theological disputes of the byzantine world, especially with regard to the genesis of the sacred Christian iconography, represents a relevant element to understand the intellectual connections of Florensky’s philosophy; as much as important proves to be the rediscovery of the icons painting by the young intellectuals who also work as artists, painters and restorers in the Russia of that time. Thus the aim of preserving the ancient russian social structures and views, has characterized the slavophiles as well as several elements of Florensky’s philosophy. The aesthetics reflection of the Yevlakh’s philosopher was, in many ways, deeply in line with the literary, artistic and philosophical movement of Russian symbolism, especially with reference to V. Solovyov. For the authors influenced by this vast cultural climate, such as the theologician Bulgakov who was a great friend of Florensky, the Sofia, that is to say the divine wisdom, really represents the knowledge of the incarnate Logos, with the goal of restoring the phenomenal world in its theophanic potential, in other words in its ability to bring to life the divine which resides in it. Centerpiece of Florensky’s philosophy is in fact the analysis of the intrinsic self-transcendence of the form in the creation, the discovery of the mutual relation between the phenomenal and the noumenic, between immanence and transcendence and therefore between êidos and morphé. It’s essential therefore to emphasize the unique polyphonic approach of the russian philosopher’s work, focused primarily on the investigation of the logic structure of the symbol and on the substantial relation of its two fundamental elements. According to Florensky human existence constantly develops between “two words”, the visible world and the invisible one, the sensible reality and the supra-mundane and metaphysic one of the “celestial archetypes”. The fundamental metaphysic question Is represented by the boundary between these two worlds, the essential dimension of differentiation and similarity in which the artwork resides, integrated in the sphere of the cult, intended as the intermediate realm between the visible and invisible. The Iconostasis is therefore analyzed on the basis of the cultural and ritual aspects of the metaphysical meaning of this boundary, and the icons as a vivid sight, like the divine light of the eternal ideas which shines through, in accordance with Florensky’s reinterpretation of Platonism in its byzantine reception. According to Florensky «the artwork is therefore a typical boundary activity, an interface between construction and composition, between the rights of sense of reality and those of the sense of possibility». Finally we briefly outline the theory of “inversed perspective” and Florensky’s criticism of the renaissance linear perspective. Florensky opposes to the illusionary structure of the perspective mimesis, conceived as the symbolic expression of modern subjectivity defined by the “Kantian-euclidean geometry, the art of the icon as a living sight, through which is possible to glimpse the divine light of the metaphysical beauty. In the formulation of his theory of the iconic art, Florensky is influenced by the neoplatonic tradition, rooted in the byzantine culture, of Iamblichus and Proclus, characterized by the predominance of the theurgic component in the interpretation of the sacred art. The Russian philosopher is moreover influenced by the convergence of aesthetics, ascetics and metaphysics realized in the spiritual writings of the Philocalia, again typical of the orthodox Slavic tradition. Infact, according to Florensky, the linear perspective represents the corruption of beauty meant as the majesty of the indefectible light of divine wisdom, clearly shown in the icon formal grammar and symbolics. The iconic art, thus, rests on a view of beauty in deep accordance with the aesthetic theories of the neoplatonic medieval Scholastic, linked to the notions of consonantia and claritas. Florensky’s aesthetic philosophy, in dialectical opposition with the western philosophy, pursues the daring attempt of an epistemology of the symbol that could hold together the ever antinomic structure of reality, starting with the essential question of how reason itself could be possible ; art becomes an unveiling impossible to grasp for analytical conceptualizations, yet cornerstone of an integral understanding of knowledge, in the framework of a sapential and sophianic view. Art, therefore, is on the boundary between symbol and theophany, in a philosophy that from the love for wisdom, as in its etymological meaning, becomes in the beauty, wisdom of love, of the Christian agape.
1. The theoretical basis of Florensky’s aesthetic philosophy
1.1 Florensky’s thought as a complex religious philosophy
To introduce the philosophical investigation of father Pavel A. Florensky, even if limited to the aesthetic theory, it’s necessary to briefly outline the specific cultural, poetic and artistic environment of Russia between the XIX and XX century; it’s a period characterized by the flourishing of vanguards, the establishing of the muscovite intellingencija central elements, already examined by Dostoevsky’s work nonetheless, and the incoming historical events destined to radically change that world. Florensky places himself without a doubt as the uncontested leading figure of those events and, as a matter of fact, subsequently to the persecution inflicted by the Stalin’s regime arises to a symbol of Christian spiritual integrity: what has defined his entire existence. Of capital importance is taking into account that Florensky’s aesthetics has to be considered inside the conceptual horizon of the “religioznoe filosofija”, that is to say the inseparable connection between religion and philosophy: not a religious philosophy but a mental habit in which thought and religion unite in a religious conscience (religioznoe soznanie) that guides the human experience . The whole speculative framework of Florensky’s theoretical apparatus originates from the quest for the unification of knowledge which sets about from a radical hermeneutic paradigm shift of idealism, meant as a “yes” to life; in the secret bounds, in the mysterious ties between finite and infinite and the invisible strings that link the Heaven of the Eternal and of the permanent spiritual joys to the earth and its antinomies, lies the view of a all-embracing reality based on the model of Solovyov. What emerges, even from an aesthetic standpoint, is a “new metaphysics”, in other words a re-establishment of the symbol, of art (for instance the reversed perspective and the reversal of the Panofsky’s iconology) and of beauty in a sophianic way. Florensky wants to perceive the unity of knowledge in its entirety through a connection between philosophy and existence structurally opened to the Visage of the Savior. As pointed out by Sergej Bulgakov: «Of all the contemporaries that I had the chance to meet during my long life, he is the greatest. Is much greater the crime of who raised his hand against him, of who has condemned him to a penalty worse than death, to a long and haunting exile, to a slow agony […]. Father Pavel wasn’t only a phenomenon of brilliance, but also a work of art […]. Father Pavel’s actual work isn’t the collection of his books, his ideas and words, but himself, his life. » It can be stated perhaps that the burden of human tragic condition which Florensky feels on his shoulders acquires a cosmic-theandric character. The key elements of the Russian culture that permeate Florensky’s thought, which will be briefly outlined, are characterized by the ontological and epistemological predominance of space over time and therefore the lack of the western notion of progress (and of tradition) ; by the eastern iconography, the specific idea of “classical” implied in it and the connection with the liturgical cult; by the assimilation of the heritage of the byzantine Christianity, from which the Russian people’s faith itself and the hesychast and palamite spirituality as forms of the Christian ascetics come from; finally by the precise muscovite intellingencija’s theoretical framework which will emerge within the artistic vanguards in the first part of the XX century and, regarding the scientific sphere, in the Moscow Mathematical society.
1.2 The predominance of the spatial idea and its relation with the medieval symbolic conscience
In the complex process which would have established the ethnic-national self-consciousness of the ancient Rus’ it is relevant the importance given to space and spatiality as a dominant dimension compared to the lack of the notion of linear time typical of the european tradition. As Vittorio Strada sharply points out «A feature of the russian space-time continuum as has been experienced in the artistic practice seems to be a predominance of the first element over the second […] Sergej Solovyov and Vasilij Ključevskij, the two major Russian historian, have insisted on the non-european character of the Russian geographic space and on the meaning which that had for the historical development. […] This “uniformity” or “homogeneity” of natural forms influences the homogeny uniformity of occupations, of habits, of believes, making possible the state unity of the whole plains and the strong connection between its parts.» . The huge vastness of the whole Russian territory, also for the use of Russian wood as a construction material for unstable buildings, which easily fell apart, was apt to be inhabited in a nomadic way. The Russian nomadism configures as a condition of the spirit, an existential anguish that comes from a space deprived of stable points, corresponding to an endless and undifferentiated homogeneity. As is noted by Stalizzoni: «[Russian nomadism] doesn’t originate from the urge to cross the borders, but from its nostalgia for the inclusion in a cosmos. The Russian nomad has no place to come back, because he feels his advancing toward the setting sun as a return, because his pilgrimage is already a return. The pilgrimage expresses the idea of the journey as a return, as a substantial inhabiting: the pilgrimage is the inhabiting of the nomad. In this sense […] the pilgrimage expresses a way of experiencing history according to a temporal dimension rooted on a spatial concept [...].To organize the reality through the idea of pilgrimage means to create an absolute space, lacking any kind of relation with history and time. Without the concept of linear time is unthinkable to have any idea of progress neither to experience modernity» Therefore three are the elements that seems to mark the influence of the “nomadism of the spirit” in the overall picture of Russian cultural experience: the prevalence and centrality of the spatial dimension; the cosmism as the typical cultural background of Russian philosophy and art (for instance Fëdorov, Solovyov, the symbolist poets and painters such as Nesterov and Vasnecov); the concept of pilgrimage as an important component of the symbolics in literature and philosophy . As already outlined by Stalizzoni, the rejection of temporal linearity and of an evolutionary view of the historical events, as well as of the western notion of progress, entails a structural and irreducible theoretical distance from the european modernity For this reason it’s interesting to understand in a author like Florensky, who experiences such universe, the meditation on the european modern philosophy and its poetology, and at the same time the attempt to overturn it on the basis of the theoretical needs of the Slavic-orthodox theology. The predominance of the theory of space and of the analysis of spatiality’s meaning, along with a rebuttal of modern temporality, appears to be a typical trait of Russian’s philosophy. In Florensky this is shown with an extraordinary conceptual clarity in the initial chapter of The meaning of spatiality included in the Space and time in art, where is enunciated the aphorism according to which the idea of world is an idea of space, in which “the world” doesn’t express the universe or nature at all but the wholeness as the accessible limit of reason; it’s one of the most important co-meanings of the explanatory relation with regard to the manifestations of human culture, that links together the interpretation faculty with space, as the specific and originary object and condition of interpretation. The culturological analysis of reality according to Florensky’s theory has a structurally space-centric character, in relation to the pursuit of sapential unity in strong opposition to Kant’s view, with whom the author dialectically confronts. The space of the Slavic-russian culture therefore implies, with regard to time, the critical question of philosophy’s origin, an element as much as evident in the connection between thought-existence and logos-mystery established by Florensky. Moreover the spatialization of time based on the eschatological-apocalyptical view in the idea of journey as nóstos, the return to an original condition that was shattered and to a communion of the inhabiting that has become scattered, is tied to the platonic epistrophé, to the theme of the reductio ad unum borrowed from the byzantine Platonism. The temporal structures appear in a teleological way directed toward the recovery of an integral unity which includes in the whole the mutual distinctions, as in a choral polyphony.

(e in questo somiglia alla vostra funzione),
dall'altro la volontà di leggi migliori cioè il senso politico
(e in questo si differenzia dalla vostra funzione)».

1. I giovani e l'istruzione in Europa
«Ai giovani non basta un’Europa pacificata e di valori condivisi, ma si attendono un’Europa in grado di offrire loro delle opportunità concrete ».
E' con le parole di uno dei protagonisti della condizione giovanile europea che si intende aprire la riflessione sul tema proposto. Il presidente dei Giovani Federalisti Europei avanza e sottolinea l'esigenza di concretezza che anima le aspettative dei suoi coetanei nei confronti dell'Ue al 2009. E l'Europa, si sa, non è attualmente comunità di intenti dalla vocazione sociale.
Ripercorrendo i testi dei suoi trattati, peraltro, emerge chiaramente come la questione socioeducativa non sia stata tra le sue priorità fino al 2009, anno del definitivo fallimento del progetto costituzionale naufragato sei anni prima e della successiva ratifica del Trattato di Lisbona, il primo documento in cui si impone all'attenzione degli Stati la cura ormai improcrastinabile della crescita culturale. La Knowledge Society è penetrata così nel linguaggio comune passando per stanziamenti di fondi per il potenziamento delle strutture didattiche legate alle tecnologie della comunicazione e alla conoscenza delle lingue ed è così che il motto Unita nella diversità inizia a trovare concretezza. Nella Parte III, Titolo XII, Art. 165, infatti, si istituisce l'istituzione del Settore Istruzione, gioventù, sport e formazione professionale chiamato a definire politiche tese a: a) sviluppare la dimensione europea dell’istruzione; b) promuovere la conoscenza delle lingue; c) favorire la mobilità e lo scambio degli studenti; d) realizzare il reciproco riconoscimento dei diplomi; e) stimolare la partecipazione dei giovani alla vita democratica dell’Unione. E tutto questo fondandosi interamente sul paradigma della circolazione consacrato nel 1985 dagli Accordi di Schengen siglati da Francia, Germania, Belgio, Lussemburgo e Paesi Bassi, ma che a tutt'oggi non sono stati ratificati dai ventisette stati-membri e che ragioni apparentemente legate alla crisi determinata dai flussi migratori pongono in discussione.
Sebbene la mobilità sia uno strumento importante per sviluppare la consapevolezza della cittadinanza sovranazionale, sembra indiscutibile tuttavia che la realizzazione del punto a) debba passare innanzitutto per i canali istituzionali dell'apprendimento formale, quello che ha luogo a scuola e nella formazione professionale e che la mobilità rappresenti un complemento a questo tipo di percorso.
La definizione dell'agire comunitario nell'educazione prevede, nel glossario europeo, che ogni paese membro rimanga responsabile del proprio sistema di istruzione e di formazione docente tanto rispetto ai contenuti dei programmi quanto all'organizzazione. L'Unione Europea, secondo l'articolo 165 del Trattato di Funzionamento dell'Ue, si limita a contribuire allo sviluppo della qualità dell'educazione mediante il potenziamento della cooperazione tra paesi membri anche finanziando le azioni eventualmente necessarie. La politica cooperativa in materia pedagogica è delineata nel programma ET 2020 che si compone e integra di diversi altri programmi di finanziamento come il Long Life Learnig e, per quel che riguarda il segmento scolastico, i sottoprogrammi Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Trasversale e Jean Monnet. L'istruzione, dunque, è di competenza esclusiva degli Stati e l'Ue non può intervenire a regolamentarne il funzionamento, può solo incoraggiare la cooperazione tra gli istituti mediante la costruzione di reti, partnership, gemellaggi. Gli stanziamenti, in tal senso, sono ingenti, ma al fondo della questione rimane il concetto della competenza esclusiva dei singoli stati in materia di educazione, concetto legato soprattutto alla tutela della differenza dei patrimoni culturali dei vari paesi e idea che si attualizza esattamente al confine tra le due polarità dell'unità nella diversità.
Posto su questo piano, il problema può produrre soltanto soluzioni ancorate al paradigma della circolarità come le esperienze di scambio e la diffusione delle best practice, ma...si tratta davvero di una soluzione adeguata nel contesto epocale di oggi?
L'orizzonte della globalizzazione e l'Europa dell'impresa hanno davvero interesse a unificare e a potenziare la società della conoscenza del vecchio continente nella prospettiva di consolidare il sentimento di appartenenza a una comunità di cittadinanza sovranazionale o non è forse più facile esercitare un controllo implicito ai sensi dell'efficacissimo quanto sperimentato divide et impera?
2. Cultura e cittadinanza in una prospettiva di cambiamento
L'attenzione dedicata all'educazione nel Trattato di Lisbona la inquadra in una logica strumentale: la conoscenza rappresenta un mezzo piuttosto che un fine, servono competenze più alte in ambito scientifico per garantire la competitività del primo mercato mondiale assolutamente mal disposto all'idea di perdere l'economica sovranità di piazza affari a causa della crisi economica che imperversa dal 2008 con esiti imprevedibili e col rischio di bancarotta degli stati più deboli.
«La Resistenza chiedeva “la possibilità effettiva per tutti i ragazzi francesi di beneficiare dell'istruzione più progredita”, senza discriminazioni; mentre le riforme proposte nel 2008 vanno contro questo progetto. Alcuni giovani insegnanti, dei quali sostengo l'azione, sono arrivati a rifiutare di applicarle e si sono visti decurtare lo stipendio come punizione. Si sono indignati, hanno “disubbidito”, giudicando tali riforme troppo lontane dall'ideale della scuola repubblicana, troppo al servizio di una società del denaro e troppo poco attente allo sviluppo della creatività e dello spirito critico ». Del resto non è certo con la metamatematica che si sviluppa il sentimento di cittadinanza.: «Chi paga di persona – afferma un maestro molto amato – testimonia che vuole la legge migliore, cioè che ama la legge più degli altri. [...] Questa tecnica di amore costruttivo per la legge l'ho imparata insieme ai ragazzi mentre leggevamo il Critone, l'Apologia di Socrate, la vita del Signore nei quattro Vangeli, l'autobiografia di Gandhi, le lettere del pilota di Hiroshima. Vite di uomini che son venuti tragicamente in contrasto con l'ordinamento vigente al loro tempo non per scardinarlo, ma per renderlo migliore ».
Totalmente penalizzato l'ambito umanistico, visto che anche la conoscenza delle lingue è, nei fatti, esclusivamente strumentale alle logiche commerciali, rimangono esigue possibilità nell'ambito scolastico di agire su questa sfera, possibilità che spesso si concretizzano con l'aggiunta di una Cittadinanza e Costituzione qualunque nei curricoli nazionali e con il varo di progetti legati alle azioni della Commissione, del Parlamento, del Consiglio Europeo e del Consiglio d'Europa.
La Commissione Europea esplica la sua effiacia mediante le azioni coordinate dalla Direzione Generale Educazione, cultura e sport, in seno al Parlamento Europeo opera la Commissione Cultura e Istruzione, mentre il Consiglio Europeo non ha spazio di intervento in materia e il Consiglio d'Europa agisce mediante la Direzione Cultura ed Eredità culturale e naturale, ma rimanendo privo della forza istituzionale degli altri tre organismi, data la sua configurazione di organizzazione internazionale.
La sua funzione è di favorire la creazione di uno spazio democratico e giuridico comune con il concorso dei 47 stati aderenti e nel quadro della Convenzione europea dei Diritti dell’Uomo. All'interno di questa mission si situa anche quella di favorire la presa di coscienza e la valorizzazione dell’identità e della diversità culturale in Europa come forma di sensibilizzazione. Senza passare per il nodo dell'occupazione che rimane il trait d'union per eccellenza tra la scuola e l'esercizio della cittadinanza responsabile, ricordando il pensiero di un insigne giurista quando affermava che «l'uomo non può essere libero se non gli sigarantisce un'educazione sufficiente per prender coscienza di sé, per alzar la testa dalla terra e per intravedere in un filo di luce che scende dall'alto di questa sua tenebra, fini più alti », si può tornare a confrontarsi con la domanda posta dal giovane federalista: «Che fare per conquistare la fiducia della nuova generazione di europei? Farli muovere! Perché non istituire un “Erasmus universale” inteso come una forma di servizio civile a livello europeo che offra a tutti (e non solo agli studenti universitari) la possibilità di vivere l’Europa e di trarre tutti i benefici per la formazione di un cittadino cosmopolita? In attesa di questa rivoluzione copernicana l’Unione europea metta a disposizione maggiori risorse per la creazione di un vero “spazio europeo per l’istruzione”.[...].Oltre il muro, quindi, la “scuola europea” attende con le sue fondamenta in costruzione ed i suoi spazi da esplorare » e, nel raccogliere la suggestiva sollecitazione di Pii sulla necessità di un grande investimento nel settore educativo, si lavori alla nascita di una vera scuola accessibile, inclusiva e di qualità per tutti i cittadini europei, un'istituzione educativa capace di sciogliere il vincolo matrimoniale con l'idea di nazione e di accedere felicemente, in seguito ai necessari processi di negoziazione relativi all'elaborazione di un canone culturale condiviso, alla sfera di competenza sovranazionale dalla quale per ora, per volontà dei singoli governi, è esclusa.
3. Scuola, cittadinanza, stato, Europa
«La scuola è luogo di formazione e di educazione mediante lo studio, l'acquisizione delle conoscenze e lo sviluppo della coscienza critica », nonché istituzione socioeducativa deputata a garantire istruzione e formazione attraverso programmi di studi metodicamente coordinati e ordinati.E se lo dicono gli studenti...è certamente valida come definizione. La Treccani la firma congiuntamente e Lorenzo Milani la descrive con queste parole alla corte che lo accusa di apologia di reato per aver esortato i giovani alla disobbedienza civile: «La scuola è diversa dall'aula del tribunale. Per voi magistrati vale solo ciò che è legge stabilita. La scuola invece siede fra il passato e il futuro e deve averli presenti entrambi. È l'arte delicata di condurre i ragazzi su un filo di rasoio: da un lato formare in loro il senso della legalità (e in questo somiglia alla vostra funzione), dall'altro la volontà di leggi migliori cioè il senso politico (e in questo si differenzia dalla vostra funzione). La tragedia del vostro mestiere di giudici è che sapete di dover giudicare con leggi che ancora non son tutte giuste. Son vivi in Italia dei magistrati che in passato han dovuto perfino sentenziare condanne a morte. Se tutti oggi inorridiamo a questo pensiero dobbiamo ringraziare quei maestri che ci aiutarono a progredire, insegnandoci a criticare la legge che allora vigeva. Ecco perché, in un certo senso, la scuola è fuori del vostro ordinamento giuridico. Il ragazzo non è ancora penalmente imputabile e non esercita ancora diritti sovrani, deve solo prepararsi a esercitarli domani ed è perciò da un lato nostro inferiore perché deve obbedirci e noi rispondiamo di lui, dall'altro nostro superiore perché decreterà domani leggi migliori delle nostre. E allora il maestro deve essere per quanto può profeta, scrutare i “segni dei tempi”, indovinare negli occhi dei ragazzi le cose belle che essi vedranno chiare domani e che noi vediamo solo in confuso. Anche il maestro è dunque in qualche modo fuori del vostro ordinamento e pure al suo servizio. Se lo condannate attenterete al progresso legislativo. In quanto alla loro vita di giovani sovrani domani, non posso dire ai miei ragazzi che l'unico modo d'amare la legge è d'obbedirla. Posso solo dir loro che essi dovranno tenere in tale onore le leggi degli uomini da osservarle quando sono giuste (cioè quando sono la forza del debole) », mentre noi, nell'assoluto stupore suscitato dall'attualità di tale articolata definizione, sintesi di teoria e prassi, di educazione alla cittadinanza ci si attarda cercando di circoscrivere altri orizzonti concettuali di per sé ormai ben poco delimitabili. Se, infatti, il contenuto della cittadinanza consiste nella titolarità di diritti enunciati nelle carte costituzionali e nelle dichiarazioni dei diritti, si possono distinguere i diritti civili, che delimitano il potere dello stato sull'individuo, dai diritti politici, che garantiscono la partecipazione dei singoli al governo dello stato, dai diritti sociali, che consistono in un obbligo di intervento da parte dello stato in favore del cittadino. Si tratta di una relazione tra il singolo e l'entità statuale che vincola entrambi, sul presupposto del legame col territorio, al reciproco rispetto di doveri e diritti. Le azioni che contribuiscono a formare la coscienza civica negli stati nazionali al tramonto sono di competenza delle istituzioni socio-educative e, per analogia quelle che contribuiscono a formare la coscienza civica nelle entità sovranazionali all'aurora sono di competenza delle istituzioni comunitarie chiamate, se non ancora a intervenire, almeno a incentivare la costruzione dell'Europa della conoscenza della Stretegia 2020 uno degli obiettivi della quale è appunto quello di «Promuovere l'uguaglianza, la coesione sociale e la cittadinanza attiva ». Sotto gli occhi di tutti, la potenza dei flussi migratori, tanto per proporre un esempio, pone seriamente in questione l'idea di cittadinanza nazionale per come, almeno in Italia, è stata elaborata dallo Statuto Albertino in poi. Giuridicamente si può asserire che lo status di cittadino consiste nella condizione della persona fisica cui l'ordinamento giuridico statuale riconosce il pieno godimento dei diritti civili e politici, ma sostanzialmente nelle nostre aule, seppur con deroga, è ammesso non più del 30% degli alunni stranieri per classe. Eppure la Dichiarazione dei diritti dell'Uomo e del Cittadino del 1948 oltre che la Costituzione della Repubblica italiana prescrivono ben altro.
Sancita dall'articolo 20 del trattato sul funzionamento dell'Unione, la cittadinanza europea costituisce un'estensione dei diritti di cittadinanza nazionale del paese-membro di appartenenza, due dei quali sono il diritto di circolare e di soggiornare liberamente nel territorio dell'Unione contenuto anche nell'articolo 45 della Carta dei diritti fondam entali dell' Ue.
La possibilità di accedere all'istruzione in un altro stato-membro è tra i diritti garantiti. Il riconoscimento delle qualifiche professionali, l'accesso alla sanità, alla previdenza, i diritti politici attivi e passivi per il rinnovo dell'Europarlamento e degli organismi locali dello stato-membro di nuova residenza fanno parte della carta d'identità comunitaria, un documento strettamente correlato allo statuto democratico fondativo.
In questo quadro, i singoli ministeri dell'educazione intervengono riformando i curricoli nazionali con l'aggiunta di discipline come Educazione alla Cittadinanza, una tendenza spesso insufficiente a sprovincializzare la scuola laddove è persino infrequente l'adesione a programmi comunitari incentrati sul tema a causa di difficoltà di ordine burocratico, linguistico e finanziario. La copertura parziale delle spese rappresenta per gli istituti un serio limite alla partecipazione a tali iniziative soprattuto nei paesi dove la crisi economica si è abbattuta sul sistema pubblico e dove per scuola di riferimento si intenda quella pubblica, statale. Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci e Trasversale non sono dunque la panacea di tutti i mali se l'obiettivo della scuola è anche quello di formare il cittadino europeo. La risposta è forse altrove e precorre di molto i tempi, ma da un punto di vista pedagogico, in una prospettiva di medio periodo, il passaggio della sfera educativa e culturale dalla sovranità nazionale alla sovranità sovranazionale sarebbe una sfida compatibile sia con quella dei mercati, sia con quella di un'Europa più sensibile al richiamo dell'umanesimo politico e sociale. Solo in quell'ambito si renderebbe possibile un'autentica negoziazione dei contenuti tra i patrimoni culturali dei vari paesi e solo a tale livello si relizzerebbe nella sostanza, tappa dopo tappa, il successo delle procedure codecisionali già poste in essere nelle sfera politica e che in campo culturale si riferiscono all'espressione “dialogo interculturale”. Aprire le frontiere delle culture e abbandonarsi alle reciproche contaminazioni rianimerebbe un medioevo aureo perduto a causa dei più ciechi nazionalismi. E la tutela delle singolarità con la sua paura per il diverso sarebbe finalmente sconfitta in nome di una scuola europea ben diversa da quella che esiste già.

1. The youths and education in Europe
«For the youths a pacified Europe with shared values is not enough, they expect a Europe able to offer them tangible opportunities » It’s with the words of one the leading personalities of the European youth condition that the reflection on the chosen theme is introduced. The president of the Young European Federalists proposes and stresses the need for concreteness which drives the expectations of his contemporaries with regards to the Eu as of 2009. And it’s well known that currently social intervention is not at the top of Europe’s agenda. Backtracking the writings of the European Union’s treaties, moreover, it becomes clear as the socio-educational question isn’t among its priorities until 2009, year of the failure of the constitutional project shipwrecked 6 years before and of the following ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon, the first document in which the impelling necessity for the care of cultural development is imposed to the attention of the states. The idea of a Knowledge Society has, thus, penetrated in the common language going through allocations of funds for the empowerment of didactic structures linked to communication technologies and to the knowledge of languages and it is so that the motto Unity in diversity begins to find concreteness. In Part III, Title XII, Section 165, it’s established the institution of the Instruction, youth, sport and professional training sector responsible to define political measures aimed to: a) developing the European dimension of instruction; b) promoting the knowledge of languages; c) facilitating mobility and student exchange d) achieving the reciprocal acknowledgement of diplomas; e) spurring the participation of the youths to the democratic life of the union. All of the aforementioned based entirely on the circulation paradigm consecrated in 1985 by the Schengen Agreements signed by France, Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands, but that still today haven’t been ratified by the twenty seven member states and that reasons allegedly linked to the crisis determined by migratory fluxes brought in to question.
Even though mobility is an important tool to develop the awareness of the supranational citizenship, it seems unquestionable however that the achievement of point a) should be realized, first and foremost, through formal learning, the one that takes place at school and in professional education and that mobility should be complementary to this kind of process.
As determined by the European glossary, the communitarian behavior on the subject of education prescribes that each member country should take responsibility for their own teacher’s education and training system both in regards to the content of the programs and their organization.
The European Union, according to section 165 of the Treaty on the functioning of the European Union, is limited to contribute to the development of the quality of education through the empowerment of cooperation between member states even financing the necessary measures if needed. The cooperative politics on the educational subject are outlined in the ET2020 program, which consist of and integrate several different financing programs such as the Long Life Learning and, for what concern the scholastic sector, the subprograms Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Trasversale and Jean Monnet. The Instruction, therefore, comes exclusively under the jurisdiction of the states while the Eu can’t intervene directly, but only encourage the cooperation between the institutes by means of creating networks, partnerships, and twinning. The allocation, thus, are huge, but the heart of the matter remains the concept of the exclusive jurisdiction of the individual states on the subject of education, a concept linked above all to the safeguarding of the difference between cultural heritages of the various countries an idea that is actualized exactly on the boundary between the two polarities of unity and diversity. On this assumption, the question can only give solutions tied to the paradigm of circularity such as the exchange experiences and the spreading of the best practice, but…is it really an adequate solution to today unprecedented situation? The horizon of globalization and the Europe of enterprise have truly an interest in unifying and empowering the society of knowledge of the old continent in the perspective of consolidating the sense of belonging to a supranational citizenship community or it isn’t perhaps better to exert implicit control over the very effective as experimented divide et impera?
2. Culture and citizenship in a perspective of changing
The Lisbon Treaty defines education in an instrumental logic: knowledge is conceived as a means to an end, high-level science skills are necessary in order to not lose economic sovereignty and global competitiveness due to the economic crisis that has been raging since 2008, with unpredictable outcomes and with the risk of bankrupt for the weaker states.
«The Resistance demanded “the actual opportunity for all French youths to benefit of the most advanced instruction”, without discriminations; while the reforms proposed in 2008 are against this project. Some young teachers, of whom I support the action, have refused to apply them and had their salary reduced as a punishment. They feel outraged, they “disobeyed”, and they judged such reforms as too distant from the republican ideal of school, too much at the service of a consumerist society and caring too little for the development of creativity and critical sensibility ». Besides it isn’t definitely through mathematics that the sense of citizenship is developed. «The one who pays in person - as a beloved teacher once said - testifies that he wants the better law, that is to say, that loves the law more than the others. […]I’ve learnt this technique of constructive love together with my pupils while we were reading the Crito, The Apology of Socrates, the Life of our Lord in the four Gospels, the self biography of Gandhi, the letters of the Hiroshima pilot. The lives of men who lived tragically in opposition with the rules in force in their times, not to undermine them but to improve them ».
The humanities are heavily penalized, considering that even the knowledge of languages is, as a matter of fact, exclusively instrumental to business logics; the few attempts to improve this situation in education often translates to just including a generic Citizenship and Constitution in the national resumes and enacting projects related to the actions of the Commission, the Parliament, the European Council and the Council of Europe.
The European Commission carries out its duties through the actions coordinated by the Education, Culture and Sport General Management, within the European Parliament operates the Culture and Instruction Commission, while the European Council hasn’t room to intervene on the matter and the Council of Europe is an international organization that acts though the Culture and Cultural and Natural Heritage Management, lacking the institutional strength of the other three institutions.
Its function is to promote the creation of a democratic and legal common space with the contribution of the 47 supporting states and in the framework of the European agreement of human rights. The goal of this mission is also to promote awareness and increase the value of cultural identity and diversity in Europe as a means to sensitize on these themes.
Without addressing the topic of employment which remains the main nexus between school and the practice of responsible citizenship, we recall the words of a distinguished jurist when he stated that «A man can’t be free if it is not possible to grant him an education that can enable him to become self aware, to rise the head from the ground and catch a glimpse of light that descents from the top of his darkness, to reach higher purposes », we can come back to confront the question put by the young federalist:«What can be done to gain the trust of the new generation of Europeans? Get them moving! Why not establish a “Universal Erasmus” intended as a kind of a European-wide social service which offers to everybody (not only to university students) the chance to experience life in Europe and to obtain all the benefits for the education of a cosmopolitan citizen. While waiting for this Copernican revolution the European Union should make more resources available for the creation of a true “European space for instruction”. […]. Beyond the wall, therefore, the “European school” awaits with its foundations under construction and its spaces to explore » and, in the wake of Pii’s demand for a substantial investment in education, work toward the creation of a truly accessible and inclusive school of the highest quality for all European citizens, an educational institution that, following the necessary negotiations processes for developing a shared cultural canon, would enable the transition between the idea of nation and the sphere of supranational jurisdiction from which for now, is excluded by the individuals governments.
3. School, Citizenship, State and Europe
«The school is a place of training and education by means of studying, gaining knowledge and developing critical thinking », as well as the socio-educational institution in charge of granting instruction and training through programs of study methodically coordinated and ordered. And if the students say so…it’s certainly valid as a definition. This is approved jointly by the Treccani and Lorenzo Milani describes it with these words to the court that accuses him of attempting to defend criminal acts for having exhorted young people to civil disobedience: «School is different from a courtroom. For the magistrates only the established law holds. School resides between the past and the future and must take into account both. It’s the fragile art of leading the youths along a razor’s edge: on the one hand developing the sense of legality in them (and in this respect it’s similar to your function), on the other hand the desire for better laws, hence their political sensibility (and in this respect it’s different from your function). The tragedy of your profession as judges is that you know that you have to judge with laws which aren’t all fair yet. There are judges still alive in Italy who in the past had even to pass death sentence. If we all today horrify at this thought we must thank those luminaries which have helped us to advance, teaching us to criticize the law who was then in force. Here is it why, in a certain sense, the school is outside of your legal system. The youth isn’t criminally chargeable yet and still doesn’t exercise sovereign rights, he must only prepare himself to exercise them tomorrow and it is therefore on the one hand inferior because he must obey us and we are responsible for him, on the other hand superior to us because tomorrow will decree better laws than ours. And so the teacher must be as much as possible a prophet, scrutinize “the signs of time”, guess in the eyes of the youths the nice things that they will clearly see tomorrow and that we only see confusedly. Even the teacher is therefore in a certain way outside of your legal system and yet at his service. If you condemn him you will attack the legislative progress. As for their lives as tomorrow young sovereigns, I can’t tell to my pupils that the only way to love the law is to obey it. I can only tell them to keep the laws of men in such honor and to observe them when they are right (that is to say when they uphold the weak ) », while we, astounded by the topical interest of this definition of education to citizenship, synthesis of theory and practice, stay behind trying to circumscribe other conceptual horizons precious little definable by now. Taking into account that the content of citizenship consists in the rights belonging to an individual expressed in the constitutional papers and in the declarations of rights, we can distinguish the civil rights, which delimit the power of the state on the individual, from the political rights, which grant the participation of the individuals to the government of the state, from social rights, which consist in a obligation of the state to intervene in favor of the citizen. It’s about a relationship between the individual and the government entity which bounds both, on the assumption of the bond with territory, to the mutual respect of duties and rights. The actions which contributes to shape the civil awareness of the national states in decline are under the jurisdiction of the socio-educational institutions and, for analogy, the ones which contributes to shape the civil awareness in the supranational entities in their infancy are under the jurisdiction of the European institutions called, if not to intervene yet, at least to encourage the construction of the Europe of knowledge of the Strategy 2020 that aims exactly to «Promote equality, social cohesion and active citizenship ». The power of migrations fluxes, for instance, is in front of everyone’s eyes and brings into question the idea of national citizenship for how, at least in Italy, has been developed from the Albertino Statute onward. From a juridical standpoint it can be stated that the citizenship consists in the condition of the natural person who enjoys completely the civil and political rights acknowledged by the public legal system, but essentially in our country, although with some exceptions, no more than 30% of foreign students are admitted per classroom. Nevertheless what the Declaration of Human and Citizen Rights of 1948 as well as the Constitution of Italian Republic prescribes is altogether different. The European citizenship, as expressed in section 20 of the treaty on the functioning of the Union, constitutes an extension of the national citizenship rights of the member state of origin, two of which are the right to circulate and to sojourn freely in the territory of the union contained also in section 45 of the Fundamental rights charter of the Eu. The acknowledgement of professional qualifications, the access to healthcare, to social security, to the active and passive political rights for the renewal of the European Parliament and of the local entities of the member-state of new residence are part of the European Union identity card, a document strictly correlated to the democratic founding statute. In this framework, the individual ministries of education intervene to reform the national curricula with the inclusion of disciplines such as Education to Citizenship, an effort that is often insufficient to modernize education whereas it is hard to find an agreement on community programs focused on this theme cause of difficulties of bureaucratic, linguistic and financial nature. The partial coverage of the expenses represents a serious limit for the institutes eager to join such initiatives, especially in countries where the economic crisis have hit the public system and where the school system of reference is the public one. Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and Trasversale aren’t therefore the cure for all ills if the goal of school is also that of educating the European citizen. The answer maybe is ahead of its time and has to be searched elsewhere, but from a pedagogic standpoint, in a middle term perspective, the transition of the educational and cultural sphere from the national sovereignty to the supranational sovereignty would be a challenge compatible with the one of the market as well as with that of a Europe more sensitive to political and social humanism. Only in that area of interest would be made possible an authentic negotiation of contents between cultural heritages of the various countries and only on that level would actually be achieved, step by step, the success of co-decisional procedures already brought about in the political sphere and that in the cultural context are referred to the expression “intercultural dialog”. Opening the frontiers of cultures and abandon ourselves to the reciprocal contaminations would rekindle a golden medieval time lost to the blindest nationalisms. And the guardianship of individuality with its fear of that which is perceived foreign or strange would be finally defeated in the name of a European school vastly different from the one already existing.

II. PILOT AND PROJECT DEFINITION
2.1. Present Solution Water scarcity is one of the key challenges facing the world in the 21st century. The increasing global exploitation of water resources has led to significant degradation of ecosystems and the goods and services they provide. Both, water quality and quantity are at stake. For example around the Mediterranean, especially (but not only) in Northern Africa, deficits in water management are leading to water pollution and the continuous degradation of the water dependent ecosystems. According to WWF already now 30 million people in the Mediterranean don’t have access to potable water!
As well as different industries golf courses are already or will come under greater pressure to reduce water use, increase efficiency and avoid contamination of ground water with fertilizer – beside that the cost of water will rise significantly. In several cases of outstanding water shortage the social pressure even asks for ultimate closure – understandable when considering that an average golf course needs roundabout 1 million cu. meters water per year – which is the consumption of a town with 12,000 inhabitants! And yet there are over 30,000 golf courses worldwide!
Against this background the sustainable approach is the only way for golf courses and developers to unlock new opportunities to face these challenges or – for the sector itself – to grow. The water consumption must be constricted while at the same time the water quality has to be protected and enhanced.

I.ABSTRACT DEL PROGETTO
La tecnologia e il sistema luxin brevettato per la costruzione di piste da golf, offrono un rimedio a come fronteggiare la scarsità d’acqua delle piste da golf nel ventunesimo secolo. Basato sulla combinazione di nuove tecnologie per filtrare e trattare l’acqua e al contempo immagazzinarla nel sottosuolo (impiegando un geotessile di nuova generazione e una combinazione di PUR) questo sistema offre un processo di trattamento dell’acqua molto efficiente, in rapporto al costo, rispetto a qualsiasi altro prodotto sul mercato, ed è caratterizzato da diversi significati vantaggi:
• È un sistema in grado di autoalimentarsi usando unicamente l’acqua piovana;
• Evita la contaminazione delle falde acquifere da parte di fertilizzanti;
• Velocizza il processo di pianificazione, evitando opposizioni ingiustificate;

II. DEFINIZIONE DEL PROGETTO E PILOTA
2.1 Soluzione Attuale La scarsità dell’acqua è una delle principali sfide, che il mondo si trova a dover fronteggiare nel ventunesimo secolo. Il crescente sfruttamento globale delle risorse idriche ha condotto ad un deterioramento degli ecosistemi e dei beni e delle risorse che offrono. La quantità di acqua così come la sua qualità è a rischio. Ad esempio attorno al mediterraneo, specialmente (ma non solo) nel nord africa, le inefficienze nella gestione delle acque stanno portando all’inquinamento e al continuo deterioramento di tutti quegli ecosistemi dipendenti dall’acqua. Secondo le stime del WWF già adesso più di 30 milioni di persone nel mediterraneo non hanno accesso all’acqua potabile! Come già accaduto ad alcune industrie, le piste da golf saranno spinte a ridurre il consumo di acqua, aumentare l’efficienza ed evitare contaminazioni da parte di fertilizzanti – oltre al fatto che il costo per l’impiego dell’acqua crescerà in maniera rilevante. In molti casi quando il consumo d’acqua è particolarmente imponente, e le istituzioni spingono per una chiusura definitiva – fatto comprensibile considerando che in media una pista da golf necessita indirettamente di un milione di metri cubi di acqua l’anno – che equivale al consumo di una città con 12 milioni di abitanti! Ciononostante esistono 30.000 piste in tutto il mondo!
Nella situazione attuale l’approccio sostenibile è l’unico che possa dispiegare nuove opportunità per chi progetta piste da golf e al contempo affrontare questa sfida permettendo al settore di crescere. Il consumo dell’acqua deve essere ridotto e al contempo migliorata la sua qualità.
2.2 La soluzione Luxin La tecnologia e il concept luxin brevettato per la costruzione di piste da golf, offrono un rimedio a come fronteggiare la scarsità d’acqua delle piste da golf nel ventunesimo secolo. Basata sulla combinazione di nuove tecnologie per filtrare e trattare l’acqua e al contempo immagazzinarla nel sottosuolo (impiegando un geotessile di nuova generazione e una combinazione di PUR) questo sistema offre un processo di trattamento dell’acqua molto efficiente, in rapporto al costo, rispetto a qualsiasi altro prodotto sul mercato, ed è caratterizzato da diversi rilevanti vantaggi.
2.3 Obbiettivi del pilota Il pilota per la costruzione di piste da golf sostenibili luxin deve comprovare i vantaggi precedentemente enunciati. Perciò gli obiettivi sono mostrare, che:
