Translated periodical publications on a variety of subjects in Zimbabwe where Shona is widely spoken. Worked with Shona audience dealing with all ages using Shona literature on one on one basis. Got a good grasp of the major dialects used in the country namely Karanga, Korekore, Manyika and Zezuru. Hence familiar with Standard Shona Language used in the country. Very strong footing in the target language Shona since it is mother tongue. Involved in Shona literature for Web publishing.

Meaning based translation has been my approach. The chief goal being to achieve a translation that is clear, accurate and natural. Studied semantics which is far superior to grammar when it comes to source language comprehension. Understanding source text is of course an indispensable element of the translation process.
