Speaking native Portuguese (European and Brazilian), I'm a localization specialist, editor, translator, and award-winning author of five novels published in the Portuguese markets.
As a freelancer working for several clients and agencies, such as Freedman International, Interecho, Codex Global, among others, in localization, translation, proofreading, subtitling, and marketing copywriting projects for companies such as Harley Davidson, Disney Pixar, Twitch, Bumble, Badoo, Agoda, Cotton On Group, Gant, ECCO Shoes, Santander Bank, United Airlines, Student.Com, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Hay Day, Boom Beach, The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, EA Games, Dollar Shave Club, IMAX, Media Monks and Maxion Wheels, among many others.
I had the opportunity to work as a sub-editor for the Brazilian Portuguese version of Ernst & Young's corporate magazine "Exceptional" (Wardour Communication), Volvo's magazine "LIV" and Land Rover's "Onelife" (both by Redwood Publishing).
I was the Brazilian Portuguese sub-editor for Luxup, a high luxury fashion online magazine/member's club, localizing articles and interviews about brands such as Stella McCartney, Valentino, Alfred Dunhill, Balenciaga, Loewe, and Lanvin, among others.
In terms of in-house work, I was Bumble/Magic Lab/Badoo's Localisation Manager for Portuguese (Brazil, Portugal) and mid-tier markets, in London. I also worked in Budapest, in the role of Portuguese Language Specialist for the hotel booking company Agoda.
Before moving to the UK, I worked as a journalist (for newspapers and magazines in Portugal, Brazil, Canada, and Germany), editor, and Head of the Press Office and PR for the Mayor of the City of Peniche, Portugal. |
