Aside from English being my native tongue, I have over the last ten years been using both Swedish and Norwegian as my working languages, commuting between Oslo and Gothenburg.
With regards to formal training, I have an English proficiency scoring in the British Columbian Provincial Exams that placed me in the 95th percentile. In Swedish I have completed the highest level of SFI, as well as two semesters of language study at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Norwegian has been my working language for the last 6 years.
I work as a Norwegian academic journal co-editor, and have been working as a freelancer since 2013 (see resume). During this time I have acquired translation experience with legal documents, platform manuals, movie subtitles and books etc. as well as performed transcription and interpreting services. Some of the companies I have translated for include NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation), Nintendo and Storebrand Insurance.
I currently reside just outside of Oslo with my partner and 2 kids, and enjoy both the flexibility and variety that this work entails!
