My name is Matthew Armistead and I am a professional linguist with ten years of experience, working from Italian into my native English. I am a member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Linguists, having completed their Diploma in Translation in 2010, and I have a BA in Italian Studies from the University of Sussex and an MA in European Society from University College London.

I established Armadillo Translation to provide assistance to Italian academics and businesses who need to present their ideas and services to English-speaking audiences. I specialise in producing academic books and articles in the humanities and social sciences, as well as texts about cultural issues, sport, health, social policy and information technology.

My company also helps clients move from an empty page to publishing in print or online by combining my skills with those of other experienced professionals. Our services include editing and proofreading, copywriting and transcreation, and desktop publishing, illustration and web design.
