I have a Ph.D. in molecular genetics. My specialty is DNA recombination and repair, but I taught biochemistry and genetics courses as well.
I currently work on type 1 diabetes research, therefore have knowledge in immunology.
I am an autism/developmental disability advocate and have testified before state legislature and connections to nationally known autism professionals and advocates.
I also serve on a nonprofit that aims to increase wellness of young children in rural Appalachian area: therefore, I am very aware of public health issues pertaining to children and mothers. |
