I am a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who also has many ECTs in Linguistics, French and Spanish at the University. Furthermore, I have many years’ experience living abroad in the relevant countries.
For a couple of years I have been working as an SLT and am now seeking an opportunity to use my French and English (and potentially Spanish as well) language skills within a professional business context, in a role that utilises my excellent communication, language and interpersonal skills and also satisfies my curious nature.
I am completely fluent in Swedish, English, French and Spanish, and received high distinction in all language courses that I have undergone. Furthermore, I am a very hard-working, responsible and mature worker, who works great in a team as well as autonomously. I really enjoy learning languages and communicating with others, which is why I chose to be an SLT. Also, I have a genuine interest for politics (leading me to study Economics at university level), an engagement in environmental issues and a background within the academic medical field as a Ph.D. student. These combined skills makes me confident in the use of a vast technical terminology in many different fields and languages.
At my work as an SLT I have also had the opportunity a number of times to use my language skills translating texts and working with families not fluent in Swedish.
As a person, I am outgoing and easy to get along with. I have a positive attitude towards life and what it brings and I am very curious, characteristics that lead me to live abroad in different countries for many years and to always keep searching for more knowledge. In my spare time, I highly enjoy physical activities such as working out and dancing and I do yoga on a regular basis. Also, as a complement to these activities, relaxing by reading novels has always been a very important part of my life. |
