The CaptiView license is required to enable a cinema server to playback the closed caption data contained in the Digital Cinema Package or DCP. Contact your local Dolby support team to receive the closed caption license.
Save the license to a USB drive and connect it to the Cinema Server. The Ingest Manager GUI window will appear.
Select the CaptiView license then click Ingest. When prompted with the Account Log In window, provide the manager password.
Reboot the server to complete the ingest process.
Confirm that the license has been ingested by going to Menu > Control Panel > License Manager.
Now we are ready to configure the CaptiView system to finalize the setup process.
Plug the CaptiView transmitter dongle into the Cinema Servers USB port.
Go to Menu then click on Control Panel.
Double click on the Device Manager icon to launch the application.
From the Device Manager window, click Add and select the closed caption device. Ensure that the Enabled checkbox is selected to enable this feature.
Complete the fields in the Closed Caption configuration window.
The Identifier is the name of the device, which can remain at the default setting.
Next, select the model of the device.
The Serial Port is the port that communicates with the device. By default the serial port will be USBX and should remain as such unless using a third-party closed caption system.
In the Auditorium field, select the desired channel. Be sure to always select the channel and never save the entry with the number 0.
The Play Offset feature is used to insert a delay of the closed caption text transmission. Typically, it is left at 0.
Idle Text is a message displayed before a show play list has started.
The time it takes for default Idle Text to appear after the loss of input is referred to as Idle Time.
Mirroring is used for rear window displays so that the closed caption text appears properly on the mirror device. Mirroring should remain at the ON default setting.
In the event that the DCP does not contain closed captioning text, no content text is text that you want shown on the CaptiView display.
Once we verify that all fields in the Closed Caption configuration window are complete click Save.
Enter your credentials.
All settings will be saved to the CaptiView transmitter which now must be power cycled by unplugging and then re-plugging in. It is always recommended to test the CaptiView system to ensure that it operates correctly before using it in a live theatre environment.
This completes the CaptiView configuration process.
Vaya a "Menu" y seleccione "Control Panel."

I want to go with them.

00:03:37,250 --> 00:03:39,218
"Faster, faster!"
38
00:03:47,260 --> 00:03:50,718
The Professor's coming!
39
00:04:02,775 --> 00:04:05,471
Don't go this way.
Go around.
40
00:04:08,815 --> 00:04:11,181
You! Jew!
41
00:04:13,219 --> 00:04:14,686
What do you want here?
42
00:04:20,226 --> 00:04:21,989
A Jewish spy!
43
00:04:26,232 --> 00:04:27,995
On your knees!
44
00:04:33,740 --> 00:04:35,708
Beat the Jew!
45
00:04:46,452 --> 00:04:49,216
He desecrated the banner!
46
00:04:55,762 --> 00:04:59,220
Don't be fools. Stop it.
47
00:06:01,260 --> 00:06:03,626
He killed him!
He killed him!
48
00:06:03,763 --> 00:06:05,025
That's not true!
49
00:06:09,202 --> 00:06:10,669
I didn't want to kill him!
50
00:07:30,917 --> 00:07:33,283
"Cell 25, can you hear me?"
51
00:07:35,221 --> 00:07:40,181
"Yes, who is it?"
52
00:07:41,727 --> 00:07:43,888
Political prisoner. 12 years.
53
00:07:45,031 --> 00:07:46,896
"Tell me how long, and why."
54
00:07:50,236 --> 00:07:51,703
Murder. 10 years.
55
00:07:54,340 --> 00:07:56,501
Jealousy? Revenge?
56
00:07:57,743 --> 00:07:58,710
No.
57
00:07:58,845 --> 00:07:59,812
Robbery?
58
00:08:00,746 --> 00:08:01,747
No.
59
00:08:01,747 --> 00:08:02,907
Where and when?
60
00:08:04,750 --> 00:08:07,742
"Here, in Warsaw."
61
00:08:09,288 --> 00:08:11,654
On the Polytechnics campus.
62
00:08:12,191 --> 00:08:16,355
I killed a student with a rock.
63
00:08:18,297 --> 00:08:20,060
I've heard of you.
64
00:08:21,901 --> 00:08:24,704
"You must appeal, understand?"
65
00:08:24,704 --> 00:08:28,663
Why? I killed him.
66
00:08:29,208 --> 00:08:32,769
It was self-defense.
There were witnesses.
67
00:08:33,913 --> 00:08:35,278
They were barred from testifying.
68
00:08:36,716 --> 00:08:38,183
Tell me how it happened?
69
00:08:39,218 --> 00:08:41,686
I can't figure out
how it was my fault.
70
00:08:44,724 --> 00:08:45,986
Shake it off.
71
00:08:47,026 --> 00:08:48,994
The same rock
would have killed you.
72
00:08:50,730 --> 00:08:52,994
The murderer would've
been found not guilty.
73
00:08:54,033 --> 00:08:56,194
They needed a scapegoat.
74
00:08:56,836 --> 00:08:58,201
A Jewish killer.
75
00:08:58,838 --> 00:09:00,100
Use your brains!
76
00:09:03,743 --> 00:09:07,839
If I had had a handful of sand
instead of that rock...
77
00:09:09,982 --> 00:09:13,349
What? I can't hear you.
78
00:09:13,786 --> 00:09:15,549
Move closer to the bars.
79
00:09:20,192 --> 00:09:21,794
You can't give up.
80
00:09:21,794 --> 00:09:22,658
Listen...
81
00:09:23,396 --> 00:09:25,057
You have to defend yourself.
82
00:09:25,698 --> 00:09:26,960
Against what?
83
00:09:31,404 --> 00:09:35,170
Look out The guard!
84
00:09:41,013 --> 00:09:42,275
Good day.
85
00:10:20,152 --> 00:10:23,656
My name is Jozef Malina...
86
00:10:23,656 --> 00:10:26,625
...and this is my apartment.
87
00:10:26,759 --> 00:10:29,523
I began to miss it at the hospital.
88
00:10:30,363 --> 00:10:35,426
There are worse places in the world.
89
00:10:38,771 --> 00:10:40,432
"You're a first timer, aren't you?"
90
00:10:42,775 --> 00:10:46,233
Do you know how to weave baskets?
91
00:10:48,080 --> 00:10:49,138
It's the best job around...
92
00:10:49,281 --> 00:10:52,739
...not very ambitious
but no disappointments.
93
00:11:00,993 --> 00:11:03,154
"It's that communist, Pankrat."
94
00:11:05,431 --> 00:11:08,298
He knows I'm back from the hospital.
95
00:11:10,136 --> 00:11:11,797
They want to break him...
96
00:11:11,937 --> 00:11:13,700
...but he's a man of iron.
97
00:11:15,441 --> 00:11:17,500
Although I'm not sure whether...
98
00:11:17,743 --> 00:11:20,405
...people should be made of iron.
99
00:11:55,181 --> 00:11:58,048
This is Pankrat. Do you hear me?
100
00:11:58,784 --> 00:12:00,251
I hear you.
101
00:12:01,387 --> 00:12:04,754
"Tomorrow night, all hell will break loose."
102
00:12:05,925 --> 00:12:07,483
What does that mean?
103
00:12:07,727 --> 00:12:08,785
You'll see.
104
00:12:10,930 --> 00:12:12,295
What should I do?
105
00:12:13,232 --> 00:12:14,893
Follow the others.
106
00:12:16,235 --> 00:12:17,998
How will I know?
107
00:12:18,738 --> 00:12:20,103
You'll hear them.
108
00:12:20,339 --> 00:12:22,102
We're counting on you.
109
00:12:23,743 --> 00:12:26,211
I'll be waiting.
110
00:12:27,747 --> 00:12:29,408
"Look out, the spotlight!"
111
00:13:06,719 --> 00:13:09,279
Do you have anyone besides your mother?
112
00:13:09,922 --> 00:13:10,889
No one.
113
00:13:17,930 --> 00:13:19,591
I have a son.
114
00:13:20,232 --> 00:13:22,792
He had tuberculosis of the bones.
115
00:13:23,736 --> 00:13:26,296
They can treat that only in Switzerland.
116
00:13:29,742 --> 00:13:34,702
I stole enough to pay for the treatments...
117
00:13:34,947 --> 00:13:37,108
...and they cured him.
118
00:13:38,250 --> 00:13:41,310
I think that makes me a good father...
119
00:13:43,455 --> 00:13:45,923
...but not a good cashier.
120
00:13:47,259 --> 00:13:51,127
"Last time, mother asked me to be strong..."
121
00:13:52,765 --> 00:13:55,131
" ...and right after, to take care of myself."
122
00:13:56,168 --> 00:13:58,636
My son is also an only child.
123
00:14:00,773 --> 00:14:02,934
I told her they take care of us here.
124
00:14:13,719 --> 00:14:15,482
Drop it.
125
00:14:29,235 --> 00:14:31,499
I didn't mean to kill him.
126
00:15:03,969 --> 00:15:05,368
You chicken-shit!
127
00:15:20,219 --> 00:15:21,186
Pankrat!
128
00:15:28,227 --> 00:15:29,888
I have to tell you something.
129
00:15:31,230 --> 00:15:32,197
Speak up.
130
00:15:34,733 --> 00:15:36,291
I know why you're keeping quiet.
131
00:15:38,037 --> 00:15:42,201
"Listen, let me explain."
132
00:15:43,142 --> 00:15:45,804
I couldn't do it.
133
00:15:46,745 --> 00:15:48,508
You have to believe me.
134
00:15:50,950 --> 00:15:54,716
"I'm not a chicken-shit, Pankrat!"
135
00:17:10,896 --> 00:17:12,454
"Mr. Malina, it's time."
136
00:17:20,205 --> 00:17:22,070
"It wasn't so bad here, was it?"
137
00:17:23,008 --> 00:17:24,270
You get used to it.
138
00:17:24,410 --> 00:17:27,379
"Come on, hurry up, or else
I'll lock you up for another three years.
139
00:17:28,714 --> 00:17:32,418
"What's that? Oh yes, you get used to it."
140
00:17:32,418 --> 00:17:34,181
"Mr. Malina, I don't have time.
It's already past twelve."
141
00:17:35,721 --> 00:17:37,623
"Mr. Malina, I just saw my mother."
142
00:17:37,623 --> 00:17:40,926
I'm leaving.
I was waiting to say goodbye.
143
00:17:40,926 --> 00:17:42,227
Mr. Malina!
144
00:17:42,227 --> 00:17:43,785
"Coming, coming."
145
00:17:44,329 --> 00:17:45,796
Remember my address.
146
00:17:45,931 --> 00:17:50,891
"65 Mokotowska Street, apartment 34."
147
00:17:51,236 --> 00:17:52,396
Will you come to see me?
148
00:17:52,738 --> 00:17:54,039
Will you?
149
00:17:54,039 --> 00:17:55,006
Yes.
150
00:21:35,761 --> 00:21:40,926
Freedom did not look as he had
imagined it during his prison days...
151
00:21:41,266 --> 00:21:47,227
...when he thought of it constantly.
152
00:21:48,173 --> 00:21:50,539
It greeted him with the arid heat of war
and crowds of fleeing refugees.
153
00:21:53,979 --> 00:21:55,742
He recognized familiar faces...
154
00:21:56,782 --> 00:21:58,249
...from some of the other cells...
155
00:21:59,084 --> 00:22:03,748
...but the man he talked to had
supposedly been taken away at night.
156
00:22:04,790 --> 00:22:08,385
"His invisible friend was moved
to a dark cell, but he managed..."
157
00:22:08,727 --> 00:22:14,688
...to sneak out a message
which cleared Jakub of cowardice.
158
00:22:45,864 --> 00:22:50,528
"Soon, the resistance will fall silent
and the weapons will fall to the ground.
159
00:22:51,169 --> 00:22:53,228
The memories from his prison years...
160
00:22:53,772 --> 00:22:57,275
...will include faces and voices...
161
00:22:57,275 --> 00:23:03,043
" ...someone's address, the humid chill
coming from the walls, and tapping."
162
00:23:03,382 --> 00:23:05,782
All of it will come back to him...
163
00:23:06,017 --> 00:23:11,978
...and there will be a time when
those recollections will be his only hope.
164
00:23:23,935 --> 00:23:27,894
"It is still day, and the air
is filled with smoke."
165
00:23:28,540 --> 00:23:31,407
The defeat happened in full daylight...
166
00:23:31,543 --> 00:23:34,603
...but darkness is slowly
falling over the earth.
167
00:23:35,447 --> 00:23:37,506
Everyone will go their own way...
168
00:23:38,049 --> 00:23:40,609
...to find their next of kin and tell them...
169
00:23:40,752 --> 00:23:43,619
...Here I am!
I'm back!
170
00:23:52,964 --> 00:23:54,727
"In the center of the city, there is a new..."
171
00:23:54,800 --> 00:23:56,268
" ...sealed off district,
established for people..."
172
00:23:56,268 --> 00:23:59,635
...doomed to death for the crime of existence.
173
00:24:00,071 --> 00:24:02,474
Special laws will prevail there...
174
00:24:02,474 --> 00:24:05,170
...and pleas for mercy will not be heard.
175
00:24:05,710 --> 00:24:09,168
"In this crowd, stars on armbands
fortell everyone's future."
176
00:25:17,616 --> 00:25:19,584
He has changed a little since those days...
177
00:25:20,418 --> 00:25:22,579
...but if you look deep into his mind...
178
00:25:23,221 --> 00:25:25,883
...you'll still find some of the lessons...
179
00:25:26,424 --> 00:25:29,188
...that his mother taught him long ago.
180
00:25:29,728 --> 00:25:33,789
One such lesson was to bury the dead.
181
00:25:34,432 --> 00:25:36,593
That responsibility falls on all survivors...
182
00:25:37,135 --> 00:25:39,399
...and is done for peace of conscience.
183
00:26:32,223 --> 00:26:33,190
Mom.
184
00:26:37,228 --> 00:26:38,195
Mom?
185
00:26:41,833 --> 00:26:45,291
"What's wrong, mom?"
186
00:26:57,048 --> 00:26:58,015
Mom!
187
00:27:09,694 --> 00:27:11,662
She fainted.I ran to get her water...
188
00:27:11,796 --> 00:27:13,661
...but she must have died. I'm his cousin.
189
00:27:13,732 --> 00:27:16,257
"I did all I could, but
how else could I help?"
190
00:30:33,865 --> 00:30:37,028
You! Come here.
191
00:30:39,370 --> 00:30:40,928
Help me get over the wall.
192
00:30:42,273 --> 00:30:43,740
You've already buried her there's
no more you can do for her.
193
00:30:43,808 --> 00:30:45,241
Come on.
194
00:31:04,796 --> 00:31:06,889
Come with me. You have no one left.
195
00:32:05,423 --> 00:32:08,187
"This is life, man. Come."
196
00:32:08,526 --> 00:32:10,084
I'll help you out here.
197
00:32:47,865 --> 00:32:50,629
Gienio! My God!
198
00:32:54,973 --> 00:32:57,339
"My God, you've come!"
199
00:33:54,165 --> 00:33:56,030
"Wieska, it's closing time."
200
00:34:02,373 --> 00:34:03,474
Who is he?
201
00:34:03,474 --> 00:34:04,338
- Who?
- That Jew.
202
00:34:04,475 --> 00:34:06,670
He's with me.
203
00:34:07,311 --> 00:34:08,676
Did anyone see you together?
204
00:34:09,113 --> 00:34:10,715
"No, no, no."
205
00:34:10,715 --> 00:34:12,478
How could you bring him here?
206
00:34:12,717 --> 00:34:15,319
"Well, he helped me get over the wall."
207
00:34:15,319 --> 00:34:17,722
"Listen, let his stay the night here."
208
00:34:17,722 --> 00:34:19,824
Impossible! There's no one like him here.
209
00:34:19,824 --> 00:34:21,985
My nerves can't handle him being here!
210
00:34:23,127 --> 00:34:24,929
Let him stay until tomorrow.
211
00:34:24,929 --> 00:34:26,396
He can go back where he
came from in the morning.
212
00:34:27,331 --> 00:34:29,595
Either he goes away now
or you go with him also!
213
00:34:45,149 --> 00:34:47,413
"It's not my idea, it's hers!"
214
00:34:47,752 --> 00:34:49,310
She doesn't know you!
215
00:34:50,154 --> 00:34:51,815
Just take a look at your face!
216
00:34:52,457 --> 00:34:55,017
She says there are none like you
on this side of the fence anymore!
217
00:35:00,364 --> 00:35:01,922
What's wrong with him?
218
00:35:03,468 --> 00:35:05,265
Touch him.
219
00:35:07,805 --> 00:35:09,670
You can't stay here.
220
00:35:11,709 --> 00:35:15,076
Tell me what to do.
221
00:35:15,213 --> 00:35:17,272
You knew what you had to do
on the other side of the wall!
222
00:35:18,316 --> 00:35:19,681
"Nobody was afraid of me, there."
223
00:35:20,218 --> 00:35:22,083
Let him go back across the wall!
224
00:35:23,321 --> 00:35:24,879
I can't make it alone.
225
00:35:26,224 --> 00:35:28,626
There must be some passageways!
226
00:35:28,626 --> 00:35:30,685
You'll manage.
227
00:35:40,138 --> 00:35:42,240
Just look at yourself in the mirror
and you'll understand...
228
00:35:42,240 --> 00:35:43,707
...why he can stay and you can't.
229
00:35:47,445 --> 00:35:48,912
I understand.
230
00:35:57,755 --> 00:35:59,257
Don't look at me that way!
231
00:35:59,257 --> 00:36:00,815
Don't look at me!
232
00:36:06,797 --> 00:36:09,061
Let me wait here until dark.
233
00:36:10,701 --> 00:36:12,403
I don't have a face like yours.
234
00:36:12,403 --> 00:36:13,204
Tell him...
235
00:36:13,204 --> 00:36:15,172
Go now! Can't you see how she is?
236
00:37:10,895 --> 00:37:12,260
"Hold on, boy, just one minute!"
237
00:37:12,396 --> 00:37:13,954
"Hurry, or we'll be late!"
238
00:37:14,098 --> 00:37:14,999
You wouldn't have it any other way.
239
00:37:14,999 --> 00:37:15,900
You bore me.
240
00:37:15,900 --> 00:37:17,401
Always at the last moment.
241
00:37:17,401 --> 00:37:18,368
Stop it!
242
00:39:16,187 --> 00:39:17,449
There's someone on the roof.
243
00:39:39,710 --> 00:39:41,712
"Breathing fresh air, weren't you?"
244
00:39:41,712 --> 00:39:43,114
Here's to you!
245
00:39:43,114 --> 00:39:45,916
"Great, a fourth person
for the other table. "
246
00:39:45,916 --> 00:39:47,281
Will you play?
247
00:39:47,418 --> 00:39:49,820
What? You haven't drunk that yet?
248
00:39:49,820 --> 00:39:53,984
"That's not good, you're falling behind."
249
00:39:54,125 --> 00:39:57,583
"Excuse me, but how did you get here?"
250
00:39:58,929 --> 00:40:00,396
I walked into the stairway...
251
00:40:01,832 --> 00:40:03,390
...and the janitor locked that gate.
252
00:40:03,734 --> 00:40:05,292
I see...
253
00:40:06,737 --> 00:40:08,705
You must have been freezing!
254
00:40:09,440 --> 00:40:12,102
Where do you think you're going?
It's way past curfew!
255
00:40:12,243 --> 00:40:13,801
You have to wait until morning.
256
00:40:14,345 --> 00:40:15,903
He'll be caught out in the street.
257
00:40:16,046 --> 00:40:18,310
You'll have to stay here with us.
258
00:40:18,849 --> 00:40:20,751
You know what?
I've been meaning...
259
00:40:20,751 --> 00:40:23,515
...to meet you for a long time now.
260
00:40:24,955 --> 00:40:26,957
Of course he should stay with us.
261
00:40:26,957 --> 00:40:28,515
Then let's play!
262
00:40:29,260 --> 00:40:30,727
It's really drafty by the window...
263
00:40:32,062 --> 00:40:35,122
Let me just make some room
for you over here.
264
00:40:37,368 --> 00:40:39,734
"This isn't needed anymore, is it?"
265
00:40:40,471 --> 00:40:43,031
" All right, then, I'll deal."
266
00:40:47,478 --> 00:40:49,742
...And you'll get some color
back in your face.
267
00:40:50,181 --> 00:40:52,683
Only fresh air can help
in this situation.
268
00:40:52,683 --> 00:40:54,548
Zygmunt! Zygmunt!
269
00:40:56,487 --> 00:40:59,790
" A few years ago, a sick man
came to see me. But fate..."
270
00:40:59,790 --> 00:41:01,849
"Fine, fine! Leave him alone."
271
00:41:07,731 --> 00:41:09,533
"If you'll allow, it's my turn."
272
00:41:09,533 --> 00:41:12,400
- First a taste of life...
- ...and then the rest.
273
00:41:34,458 --> 00:41:37,427
"If you play out of tune, I won't sing."
274
00:42:23,941 --> 00:42:25,909
"Goodbye, you'll catch a cold."
275
00:42:31,148 --> 00:42:34,515
"Get up, get up. Let's go home."
276
00:42:35,052 --> 00:42:36,815
You're not sleeping here.
277
00:42:42,860 --> 00:42:44,061
Thank you very much.
278
00:42:44,061 --> 00:42:45,763
I apologize.
279
00:42:45,763 --> 00:42:47,230
Say goodbye.
280
00:43:32,142 --> 00:43:33,507
Who sent you here?
281
00:43:33,744 --> 00:43:35,211
I don't understand.
282
00:43:35,446 --> 00:43:38,415
"Well, someone must have sent you."
283
00:43:38,749 --> 00:43:40,808
I told you it was blind chance.
284
00:43:41,752 --> 00:43:43,913
Do you think I came here for help?
285
00:43:52,262 --> 00:43:53,820
You're not leaving.
286
00:43:58,168 --> 00:44:01,228
It's daytime.
You have to wait until dark.
287
00:44:06,810 --> 00:44:08,471
Don't be afraid.
288
00:44:11,015 --> 00:44:12,916
You'll be safe here.
289
00:44:12,916 --> 00:44:15,077
I have visitors only at night.
290
00:44:20,724 --> 00:44:21,986
Were you hiding on this side?
291
00:44:23,727 --> 00:44:26,287
"No, I was there the whole time."
292
00:44:29,033 --> 00:44:30,398
Do you have a family?
293
00:44:31,235 --> 00:44:32,202
No.
294
00:44:35,739 --> 00:44:40,044
Is it really so horrible over there?
295
00:44:40,044 --> 00:44:43,707
I don't know. Everything is white here
and black over there.
296
00:44:44,748 --> 00:44:47,911
"The houses, streets... and we Jews."
297
00:44:50,554 --> 00:44:52,419
I wanted to stay there and should have.
298
00:44:53,757 --> 00:44:54,917
I don't understand.
299
00:44:55,359 --> 00:44:57,418
Only a Jew would understand that.
300
00:44:59,263 --> 00:45:00,821
There are exceptions.
301
00:45:01,765 --> 00:45:04,325
People on both sides are the same.
302
00:45:04,768 --> 00:45:06,303
You think everything here is white...
303
00:45:06,303 --> 00:45:08,271
...because you don't know us.
304
00:45:10,207 --> 00:45:12,209
The man who soaked you with vodka...
305
00:45:12,209 --> 00:45:14,074
...had by fluke escaped from the Gestapo.
306
00:45:14,912 --> 00:45:17,614
The other one is a university professor...
307
00:45:17,614 --> 00:45:19,878
...and now works for the railway.
308
00:45:20,718 --> 00:45:22,185
What were you doing over there?
309
00:45:24,121 --> 00:45:25,986
I collected corpses from the streets.
310
00:45:34,732 --> 00:45:36,133
And you want to go back there?
311
00:45:36,133 --> 00:45:37,100
Yes.
312
00:45:37,234 --> 00:45:38,836
Is someone waiting for you?
313
00:45:38,836 --> 00:45:40,201
"No, no one."
314
00:45:41,338 --> 00:45:42,305
Then why?
315
00:45:43,040 --> 00:45:44,302
Look at me.
316
00:45:44,742 --> 00:45:46,710
I'm one of them and I have
to share their fate.
317
00:45:51,749 --> 00:45:53,512
Collecting corpses!
318
00:45:54,752 --> 00:45:56,219
Unbelievable.
319
00:46:03,460 --> 00:46:05,195
Why do you deceive yourself?
320
00:46:05,195 --> 00:46:07,459
No one is doomed to hell
during their lifetime.
321
00:46:07,698 --> 00:46:09,199
Nobody should go back there.
322
00:46:09,199 --> 00:46:11,602
Actually, no one should have
gone there in the first place!
323
00:46:11,602 --> 00:46:13,103
Nobody went there voluntarily!
324
00:46:13,103 --> 00:46:14,705
We had no choice!
325
00:46:14,705 --> 00:46:16,673
But now you do.
326
00:46:17,708 --> 00:46:19,309
If you had escaped Auschwitz...
327
00:46:19,309 --> 00:46:21,368
...would you think of going back?
328
00:46:21,712 --> 00:46:23,577
There are thousands of people
living across that wall.
329
00:46:23,714 --> 00:46:25,579
I have no right to rescue only myself!
330
00:46:26,717 --> 00:46:28,981
All of them are doomed, and I have
to be there with them until the end!
331
00:46:29,720 --> 00:46:31,622
That's a false idea of solidarity!
332
00:46:31,622 --> 00:46:35,683
There's no thing on earth
that is worth a human life!
333
00:46:35,826 --> 00:46:38,294
Wrong! Jews do not think like that!
334
00:46:39,329 --> 00:46:41,593
"Jews, Jews, Jews..."
335
00:46:45,235 --> 00:46:46,896
I'm also Jewish.
336
00:46:58,749 --> 00:47:00,910
Not even you can see it.
337
00:47:37,721 --> 00:47:39,188
Goodbye.
338
00:47:47,831 --> 00:47:50,133
What will you do if
you can't cross the wall.
339
00:47:50,133 --> 00:47:52,294
Don't worry.
I'll think of something.
340
00:47:53,136 --> 00:47:55,104
Do you have anyone on this side?
341
00:47:56,740 --> 00:47:57,900
Yes.
342
00:47:58,041 --> 00:48:01,408
You have to be careful.
Is it far?
343
00:48:02,045 --> 00:48:03,747
Third house from Zbawiciel Square...
344
00:48:03,747 --> 00:48:05,112
...on Mokotowska Street.
345
00:48:05,682 --> 00:48:06,683
Who lives there?
346
00:48:06,683 --> 00:48:07,945
A bank cashier.
347
00:48:08,085 --> 00:48:11,748
We were in prison before the war.
348
00:48:50,727 --> 00:48:51,785
Excuse me.
349
00:48:58,835 --> 00:49:00,737
You should go.
350
00:49:00,737 --> 00:49:02,500
Why are you crying?
351
00:49:05,042 --> 00:49:08,944
I can't stand it anymore
this house, those people.
352
00:49:10,981 --> 00:49:15,543
They come almost every day.
353
00:49:16,286 --> 00:49:18,846
I invite them in because
I'm afraid of being alone.
354
00:49:19,189 --> 00:49:24,957
"They don't know, and shouldn't
but one day, they'll find out."
355
00:49:25,395 --> 00:49:28,558
I look into their faces everyday
and wonder if that day has come.
356
00:49:28,899 --> 00:49:30,662
And I await their judgement.
357
00:49:32,002 --> 00:49:34,004
You know what it's like
to escape from the ghetto...
358
00:49:34,004 --> 00:49:37,064
...but I do that everyday.
359
00:49:39,710 --> 00:49:45,671
I'm scared.
Please don't go.
360
00:49:49,720 --> 00:49:51,483
I don't have to be afraid of you.
361
00:49:58,228 --> 00:50:00,389
Do they mark everybody like that?
362
00:50:01,231 --> 00:50:03,233
Only those with jobs.
363
00:50:03,233 --> 00:50:05,098
Sometimes they have to leave
the ghetto under escort.
364
00:50:08,138 --> 00:50:09,605
If someone tries to escape...
365
00:50:09,740 --> 00:50:11,708
...it's easier to shoot them in the back.
366
00:50:21,251 --> 00:50:22,411
What time is it?
367
00:50:23,754 --> 00:50:25,756
I don't know. It doesn't matter.
368
00:50:25,756 --> 00:50:29,760
Now we'll have plenty
of time for each other.
369
00:50:29,760 --> 00:50:31,261
That's not up to us.
370
00:50:31,261 --> 00:50:32,523
It is.
371
00:50:34,264 --> 00:50:36,166
"The moment I saw you, I realized that..."
372
00:50:36,166 --> 00:50:38,225
...something important had happened.
373
00:50:39,269 --> 00:50:40,270
No one is a lucky as I am.
374
00:50:40,270 --> 00:50:42,238
You appeared to me out of nowhere.
375
00:50:43,273 --> 00:50:45,241
I can't lose you.
376
00:50:45,776 --> 00:50:47,243
I feel very good with you...
377
00:50:47,778 --> 00:50:50,042
...and that's the hardest part for me.
378
00:50:51,081 --> 00:50:52,139
When I leave...
379
00:50:52,282 --> 00:50:53,884
That won't happen.
380
00:50:53,884 --> 00:50:55,943
You'll be safe with me.
381
00:50:56,787 --> 00:50:58,755
You'll see what I'll do.
382
00:50:59,089 --> 00:51:01,291
The people who were here
already saw me,...
383
00:51:01,291 --> 00:51:03,657
and that's enough
reason for me to go.
384
00:51:03,794 --> 00:51:05,228
They're honest people.
385
00:51:05,228 --> 00:51:07,992
Honest people talk with each other
about other people's business.
386
00:51:08,732 --> 00:51:11,098
It's already harder for me to leave today.
387
00:51:11,735 --> 00:51:13,999
Tomorrow will be harder than today.
388
00:51:14,237 --> 00:51:16,740
Then you'll start hating me.
Do you see?
389
00:51:16,740 --> 00:51:18,401
"No, I don't."
390
00:51:18,742 --> 00:51:20,607
My place is down there.
391
00:51:20,744 --> 00:51:23,008
If only you had been there even once.
392
00:51:23,947 --> 00:51:26,108
There's more than just
a wall that divides us.
393
00:51:26,249 --> 00:51:28,717
That's not true.
You don't even believe it.
394
00:51:28,952 --> 00:51:33,013
"Nothing divides us, and I love you."
395
00:51:33,857 --> 00:51:38,419
You can't love me.
I have to go back.
396
00:51:39,763 --> 00:51:43,130
You'll never go back there.
You're afraid.
397
00:51:43,266 --> 00:51:47,930
I'm not sure if you know this, but
yesterday when you wanted to leave...
398
00:51:48,071 --> 00:51:50,733
...I saw it in your eyes.
399
00:53:35,545 --> 00:53:36,746
What are you doing?
400
00:53:36,746 --> 00:53:37,948
How do you like it?
401
00:53:37,948 --> 00:53:39,210
What's this all about?
402
00:53:39,316 --> 00:53:42,052
Your guardian angel
has to have bright hair.
403
00:53:42,052 --> 00:53:43,110
What about the suitcases?
404
00:53:44,054 --> 00:53:45,612
We're leaving.
405
00:53:45,855 --> 00:53:47,157
Where?
406
00:53:47,157 --> 00:53:48,317
To the country.
407
00:53:49,759 --> 00:53:51,727
"Don't ask about it, it'll be wonderful."
408
00:53:55,165 --> 00:53:58,726
Why are you standing around
like that? You're funny.
409
00:54:03,273 --> 00:54:04,774
Say something...
410
00:54:04,774 --> 00:54:06,071
We're not going anywhere.
411
00:54:06,810 --> 00:54:08,311
So you don't know me yet.
412
00:54:08,311 --> 00:54:12,215
I've always done impossible things
things no one believed in.
413
00:54:12,215 --> 00:54:13,917
That's why I always won.
414
00:54:13,917 --> 00:54:15,819
"We'll be together, don't you see?"
415
00:54:15,819 --> 00:54:17,878
We can only be together over there.
416
00:54:18,722 --> 00:54:21,384
Being together kills Jews on this side.
Being alone is the only way to survive.
417
00:54:24,728 --> 00:54:26,730
We shouldn't talk about this.
418
00:54:26,730 --> 00:54:28,095
It'll be better for us both.
419
00:54:28,431 --> 00:54:29,591
I can't.
420
00:54:29,733 --> 00:54:31,234
"Yes, you can."
421
00:54:31,234 --> 00:54:32,736
If you ever want to get your life back...
422
00:54:32,736 --> 00:54:34,437
...you have to forget about that.
423
00:54:34,437 --> 00:54:36,539
I didn't stay away from the ghetto...
424
00:54:36,539 --> 00:54:39,142
...with the intent of going there later
to spend some time with you.
425
00:54:39,142 --> 00:54:40,507
I'm not going away.
426
00:54:42,746 --> 00:54:44,213
Of course.
427
00:54:46,149 --> 00:54:48,208
As of today, your
destiny is in my hands.
428
00:54:49,252 --> 00:54:51,117
Don't you see I want to save you?
429
00:54:52,756 --> 00:54:53,757
From what?
430
00:54:53,757 --> 00:54:57,215
"From the Germans, from the Jews,
from yourself, from the war!"
431
00:54:58,261 --> 00:55:00,923
Don't think this is a sacrifice.
I just want you for myself.
432
00:55:01,765 --> 00:55:02,966
I have to go to town now.
433
00:55:02,966 --> 00:55:05,457
I'll be back in the evening.
434
00:55:06,703 --> 00:55:08,261
Don't open the door for anyone.
435
00:56:49,038 --> 00:56:50,039
Where do you want to go?
436
00:56:50,039 --> 00:56:51,006
To the ghetto.
437
00:56:51,741 --> 00:56:53,800
Not this way.
We'll take you there.
438
00:57:07,690 --> 00:57:09,893
Walk through that gate
and you'll find your way.
439
00:57:09,893 --> 00:57:11,494
We're not going any further.
440
00:57:11,494 --> 00:57:12,461
Thank you.
441
00:57:15,698 --> 00:57:16,665
Quiet.
442
00:57:17,700 --> 00:57:18,962
Don't cry.
443
00:57:23,206 --> 00:57:24,607
What do you want?
444
00:57:24,607 --> 00:57:26,209
I'm looking for a way across.
You can see who I am.
445
00:57:26,209 --> 00:57:27,176
Get the kid.
446
00:57:29,212 --> 00:57:30,679
I'll give you my jacket.
447
00:57:32,115 --> 00:57:34,675
Many people have crossedthat wall.
No one has everwanted to go back.
448
00:57:36,219 --> 00:57:38,021
They kept telling us,
as many of us will survive...
449
00:57:38,021 --> 00:57:39,488
...as you'll be merciful to.
450
00:57:40,023 --> 00:57:43,481
"What do you think,
have they all perished?"
451
00:57:44,727 --> 00:57:47,594
If anyone saves himselfit'll be
someone who never wants to go back.
452
00:57:49,232 --> 00:57:50,494
I don't have anyone.
453
00:57:51,134 --> 00:57:52,735
You always have someone
somewhere in the world...
454
00:57:52,735 --> 00:57:54,600
...you just don't always
know about it.
455
00:57:56,239 --> 00:57:59,800
Sometimes others get
in your way or your timing is bad.
456
00:58:03,746 --> 00:58:05,111
That's true.
457
00:58:57,233 --> 00:58:58,234
Let me out.
458
00:58:58,234 --> 00:58:59,736
I can't.
It's past curfew.
459
00:58:59,736 --> 00:59:01,538
What do you care?
It's not far from here.
460
00:59:01,538 --> 00:59:04,098
- Only to Mokotowska Street.
- Look out, Germans!
461
00:59:26,896 --> 00:59:28,557
Does Mr. Malina live here?
462
00:59:29,198 --> 00:59:31,666
"Yes, he went to the basement."
463
00:59:37,707 --> 00:59:38,708
Mr. Malina.
464
00:59:38,708 --> 00:59:39,970
Who's that?
465
00:59:40,410 --> 00:59:42,378
"Someone to see you, uncle."
466
00:59:42,712 --> 00:59:46,671
"Oh, it's you!
Come in."
1
00:00:02,235 --> 00:00:03,202
The dog's name is Athos.
2
00:00:05,238 --> 00:00:08,207
My son brought him
from Switzerland...
3
00:00:09,242 --> 00:00:12,211
...just before the war.
Have a seat.
4
00:00:13,246 --> 00:00:16,215
Take off your jacket.
It's warm in here.
5
00:00:19,252 --> 00:00:20,219
kasia!
6
00:00:24,257 --> 00:00:27,226
She's my niece.
Take his jacket.
7
00:00:30,263 --> 00:00:32,231
The two of us
now live here together.
8
00:00:34,267 --> 00:00:37,236
Do you see how life turns out?
9
00:00:38,271 --> 00:00:43,276
We promised ourselves that
we would meet again as free men.
10
00:00:43,276 --> 00:00:48,236
" And now you sit in my kitchen,
and we're both free."
11
00:00:53,219 --> 00:00:58,179
But my best days
were spent in that prison cell.
12
00:00:59,225 --> 00:01:01,193
Complete peace.
13
00:01:02,228 --> 00:01:06,187
Weaving baskets was
the only thing I ever liked.
14
00:01:16,242 --> 00:01:19,245
Just don't ask him anything
about his son.
15
00:01:19,245 --> 00:01:20,212
I'll explain it all later.
16
00:01:25,251 --> 00:01:29,255
They killed my son.
He died in a camp.
17
00:01:29,255 --> 00:01:34,260
"What do you think,
should I have stolen the money..."
18
00:01:34,260 --> 00:01:38,219
...to let him live a little longer...
19
00:01:39,265 --> 00:01:42,268
...considering how horribly
he died in the end?
20
00:01:42,268 --> 00:01:43,269
It's a great misfortune.
21
00:01:43,269 --> 00:01:46,272
"Yes, misfortune."
22
00:01:46,272 --> 00:01:49,275
I'm sorry I didn't ask
about your problems.
23
00:01:49,275 --> 00:01:51,243
My problems are Jewish problems.
24
00:01:53,213 --> 00:01:55,181
I'm glad you've come.
25
00:01:56,216 --> 00:01:59,219
Could you advise me what to do?
I have nowhere to go.
26
00:01:59,219 --> 00:02:02,188
Stay here.
It's already past curfew.
27
00:02:03,223 --> 00:02:07,182
You've come just in time
for Christmas Eve dinner.
28
00:02:09,229 --> 00:02:11,197
You can stay as long
as you want to...
29
00:02:13,233 --> 00:02:15,201
...or as long as you're able to.
30
00:05:37,236 --> 00:05:40,205
Uncle forbids me to
when he's not here.
31
00:05:44,243 --> 00:05:45,210
Open up.
32
00:05:47,246 --> 00:05:49,214
Are you waiting for someone?
33
00:05:51,250 --> 00:05:52,148
Open up!
34
00:06:10,203 --> 00:06:11,204
Good morning.
35
00:06:11,204 --> 00:06:12,205
"This is Mrs. Jablonowska's
apartment, isn't it?"
36
00:06:12,205 --> 00:06:13,206
No.
37
00:06:13,206 --> 00:06:14,207
Do you know
which one it is?
38
00:06:14,207 --> 00:06:16,175
"No, I'm not sure."
39
00:06:17,210 --> 00:06:23,216
So no one can tell me...
40
00:06:23,216 --> 00:06:26,219
She's the seamstress.
I have to find her.
41
00:06:26,219 --> 00:06:28,221
"No, I'm not sure where."
42
00:06:28,221 --> 00:06:31,224
"That's too bad, then.
Excuse me."
43
00:06:31,224 --> 00:06:32,191
Good bye.
44
00:06:37,230 --> 00:06:39,198
Was that the woman
you were waiting for?
45
00:06:51,244 --> 00:06:54,145
"Come in, doggie,
we're home."
46
00:06:55,181 --> 00:06:56,182
What's wrong?
47
00:06:56,182 --> 00:06:58,150
She saw me.
I have to leave.
48
00:06:59,185 --> 00:07:01,187
Hold on.
Who saw you?
49
00:07:01,187 --> 00:07:03,189
I don't know. I have to go.
50
00:07:03,189 --> 00:07:05,157
She just left.
51
00:07:06,192 --> 00:07:08,160
So what if she saw you?
52
00:07:09,195 --> 00:07:11,197
"She saw you, and that's that."
53
00:07:11,197 --> 00:07:13,199
Let's not jump to conclusions.
54
00:07:13,199 --> 00:07:16,202
"People are never entirely evil,
and never entirely good."
55
00:07:16,202 --> 00:07:19,171
And she might be much better
than we're giving her credit for.
56
00:07:20,206 --> 00:07:22,208
You're not going anywhere.
57
00:07:22,208 --> 00:07:24,176
You'll run into these same
problems everywhere you go.
58
00:07:25,211 --> 00:07:26,212
I'm worried about you.
59
00:07:26,212 --> 00:07:29,215
It's all my fault!
My fault!
60
00:07:29,215 --> 00:07:32,218
kasia! No hysterics!
Calm down.
61
00:07:32,218 --> 00:07:34,186
Let's think for a moment...
62
00:07:37,223 --> 00:07:40,226
" All right, you'll wait in the cellar
for a couple of days."
63
00:07:40,226 --> 00:07:41,193
"kasia, give me the keys."
64
00:07:42,228 --> 00:07:44,230
"Come on, the keys
and a candle!"
65
00:07:44,230 --> 00:07:48,234
"You'll see, you'll be back
up here in a matter of days."
66
00:07:48,234 --> 00:07:50,202
"Stop crying, kasia."
67
00:07:55,174 --> 00:07:56,141
Come on.
68
00:09:36,208 --> 00:09:37,209
- When will he be back?
- I don't know.
69
00:09:37,209 --> 00:09:39,177
- Maybe you could help me...
- With what?
70
00:09:40,212 --> 00:09:43,215
Nothing.
I prefer to wait.
71
00:09:43,215 --> 00:09:45,183
Uncle won't be back today.
72
00:09:47,219 --> 00:09:49,187
Are you looking for someone?
73
00:09:50,222 --> 00:09:51,223
Where is he?
74
00:09:51,223 --> 00:09:52,224
Uncle?
75
00:09:52,224 --> 00:09:55,193
"No, you don't trust me.
I know he's here."
76
00:09:56,228 --> 00:09:58,196
I have no idea who
you're talking about.
77
00:10:00,232 --> 00:10:03,235
"You're afraid of me.
I beg you, trust me."
78
00:10:03,235 --> 00:10:08,240
"Yesterday, a young man came
to see you. Almost a boy."
79
00:10:08,240 --> 00:10:11,243
He was in prison with your uncle
before the war.
80
00:10:11,243 --> 00:10:13,211
He has dark hair
and he...
81
00:10:16,248 --> 00:10:18,250
...one of them was quite young.
82
00:10:18,250 --> 00:10:19,251
What happened to him?
83
00:10:19,251 --> 00:10:21,253
He left right away.
84
00:10:21,253 --> 00:10:22,220
Did you see him?
85
00:10:23,255 --> 00:10:29,216
Yes. Medium height.
Slim. Dark eyes.
86
00:10:30,262 --> 00:10:31,263
A Jew?
87
00:10:31,263 --> 00:10:36,223
" A Jew?
No, madam."
88
00:10:38,270 --> 00:10:42,229
" After all, you shouldn't let
Jews into your house."
89
00:10:43,275 --> 00:10:47,234
Why don't you believe me?
How would he have gotten here?
90
00:10:48,280 --> 00:10:51,249
You don't believe me?
Have a look for yourself!
91
00:10:56,222 --> 00:10:58,190
"He left my place, yesterday."
92
00:11:00,226 --> 00:11:01,193
- Alone?
- Alone.
93
00:11:04,230 --> 00:11:06,198
And you just let him go?
94
00:11:09,235 --> 00:11:13,194
The Gestapo prison is the only
place where he could be.
95
00:11:25,251 --> 00:11:28,220
Won't you wait for my uncle?
96
00:12:04,223 --> 00:12:10,184
The boards can be moved.
You can move them later on.
97
00:12:15,234 --> 00:12:16,235
I'll come by tomorrow.
98
00:12:16,235 --> 00:12:17,202
Thank you.
99
00:12:19,238 --> 00:12:21,206
Good bye.
100
00:12:40,259 --> 00:12:42,227
I'm a Jew.
101
00:12:45,264 --> 00:12:46,231
Pardon me?
102
00:12:47,266 --> 00:12:50,235
I'm a Jew.
103
00:13:11,223 --> 00:13:13,191
You little brats!
Get out of here!
104
00:13:16,228 --> 00:13:17,195
Well?
105
00:13:18,230 --> 00:13:19,231
He's not there.
106
00:13:19,231 --> 00:13:21,233
I searched the whole apartment.
There's no sign of the Jew.
107
00:13:21,233 --> 00:13:22,234
They tricked you.
108
00:13:22,234 --> 00:13:24,236
"I searched under the bed,
and in the bed."
109
00:13:24,236 --> 00:13:26,238
The bed...
The bed is your specialty!
110
00:13:26,238 --> 00:13:27,239
I looked in the closet!
111
00:13:27,239 --> 00:13:30,242
Nobody hides Jews for free!
You can make money for that!
112
00:13:30,242 --> 00:13:34,246
"Children, which one is
Mr. Malina's basement?"
113
00:13:34,246 --> 00:13:35,247
That one.
114
00:13:35,247 --> 00:13:37,215
That's the one. Come on.
115
00:13:39,251 --> 00:13:41,310
- Look in there.
- No, he's not here.
116
00:13:41,453 --> 00:13:43,656
Hello?
Is anyone there?
117
00:13:43,656 --> 00:13:45,257
It's too dark to see anything.
118
00:13:45,257 --> 00:13:46,258
There's no one there.
Come on.
119
00:13:46,258 --> 00:13:49,261
You're an idiot.
We'll come back soon.
120
00:13:49,261 --> 00:13:51,923
You can't give up.
He has to be somewhere.
121
00:13:56,202 --> 00:13:58,762
"Madam, that's not the basement.
It's that one there!"
122
00:15:01,901 --> 00:15:03,266
Were they here again?
123
00:15:03,702 --> 00:15:07,907
"Who are you talking about?
Oh, the blackmailer!"
124
00:15:07,907 --> 00:15:10,774
"Yes, he was here.
But he's not coming back."
125
00:15:11,210 --> 00:15:12,677
I chased him away.
126
00:15:19,018 --> 00:15:21,179
I slipped on the stairs.
127
00:15:22,621 --> 00:15:26,785
"Mr. Malina, I shouldn't
stay here any longer."
128
00:15:27,826 --> 00:15:30,886
I can't...
129
00:15:31,430 --> 00:15:34,797
Take it easy.
What's wrong?
130
00:15:35,935 --> 00:15:37,236
Please let me leave.
131
00:15:37,236 --> 00:15:38,203
Where to?
132
00:15:39,238 --> 00:15:40,899
I can't keep living in a basement.
133
00:15:41,440 --> 00:15:43,242
"Besides, all I'm doing
is putting you in danger."
134
00:15:43,242 --> 00:15:45,301
I should go back to the ghetto.
135
00:15:46,045 --> 00:15:48,104
I should stay there...
136
00:15:48,948 --> 00:15:50,006
...with them...
137
00:15:50,749 --> 00:15:52,114
...until the end.
138
00:15:55,888 --> 00:15:59,051
Don't you understand?
I'm one of them!
139
00:16:01,894 --> 00:16:05,853
Listen to me.
You have to stay here!
140
00:16:08,200 --> 00:16:12,660
I won't let some mean bastard
decide if you should die!
141
00:16:13,205 --> 00:16:15,173
Let's not talk
about this anymore.
142
00:16:16,608 --> 00:16:17,973
I have given this some thought.
143
00:16:18,811 --> 00:16:21,279
You should tell me to go.
144
00:16:23,816 --> 00:16:28,981
"I know that sometimes, saving
your life comes at too great a cost.
145
00:16:30,522 --> 00:16:32,786
What cost are you
talking about?
146
00:16:33,425 --> 00:16:38,230
"The war will end, and you
and I will be proven right!
147
00:16:38,230 --> 00:16:40,198
Leave the door unlocked!
148
00:16:40,332 --> 00:16:42,300
You want to leave?
Then go! Go!
149
00:16:44,436 --> 00:16:47,239
They'll catch you at once.
150
00:16:47,239 --> 00:16:51,198
What will happen
to me and kasia?
151
00:17:14,199 --> 00:17:18,363
I was very happy
when you came to us.
152
00:17:19,204 --> 00:17:21,365
"I don't go out
anywhere, either."
153
00:17:21,707 --> 00:17:24,175
Uncle doesn't even want
to let me come down here.
154
00:17:26,612 --> 00:17:28,477
I stole the keys.
155
00:17:30,215 --> 00:17:31,917
"Nothing happens in
the courtyard, either."
156
00:17:31,917 --> 00:17:35,978
"Once, a fire-eating woman came
with a troop of acrobats."
157
00:17:36,722 --> 00:17:38,280
It was very nice.
158
00:17:39,525 --> 00:17:41,493
"Soon, you come back upstairs."
159
00:17:42,227 --> 00:17:44,388
No one will be asking
about you anymore.
160
00:17:46,331 --> 00:17:48,196
You're not angry with me?
161
00:17:49,234 --> 00:17:51,498
Angry with you?
Why would I be?
162
00:17:57,476 --> 00:17:59,137
You know what?
163
00:17:59,678 --> 00:18:01,339
I'd like to walk the streets...
164
00:18:03,682 --> 00:18:05,946
...without anyone stopping
at the sight of me...
165
00:18:07,186 --> 00:18:09,347
...without anyone
looking back at me...
166
00:18:11,590 --> 00:18:13,455
...I just want to
walk down the street.
167
00:18:14,193 --> 00:18:15,160
Where to?
168
00:18:15,794 --> 00:18:16,761
I don't know.
169
00:18:21,500 --> 00:18:22,865
It doesn't matter.
170
00:18:24,203 --> 00:18:27,172
I'd like you to always
tell me the truth.
171
00:18:29,208 --> 00:18:30,971
You're childish.
172
00:18:31,610 --> 00:18:33,475
You think so?
173
00:18:35,314 --> 00:18:37,578
I have to clean this place up.
174
00:18:38,717 --> 00:18:42,084
There's no need to.
Nothing will change here anyway.
175
00:18:44,523 --> 00:18:47,726
Since I've taken charge
of your fate...
176
00:18:47,726 --> 00:18:49,387
...I now have duties to you.
177
00:18:50,429 --> 00:18:51,896
You too?
178
00:18:55,667 --> 00:18:57,328
Strange.
179
00:18:58,570 --> 00:19:00,538
Everyone is in charge
of my fate.
180
00:19:04,476 --> 00:19:05,738
Everyone...
181
00:19:08,280 --> 00:19:09,645
...except for me.
182
00:19:46,919 --> 00:19:49,285
Don't do that.
Stop it.
183
00:19:53,225 --> 00:19:54,783
It makes no sense.
184
00:19:57,029 --> 00:20:00,897
I'll leave you a candle.
You can read at night.
185
00:20:01,233 --> 00:20:03,895
Just make sure you black out
the window first.
186
00:20:04,036 --> 00:20:07,096
What for?
I don't want to read.
187
00:20:08,640 --> 00:20:10,699
You've been alone for too long.
188
00:20:12,644 --> 00:20:16,512
This is the only way.
I realize that now.
189
00:20:18,850 --> 00:20:20,613
I've thought about it a lot.
190
00:20:22,854 --> 00:20:26,620
"Listen, I'll take you back
upstairs very shortly."
191
00:20:27,259 --> 00:20:31,218
No.
192
00:20:34,766 --> 00:20:36,631
You won't take me from here.
193
00:20:40,072 --> 00:20:42,040
They've been here again.
194
00:20:42,274 --> 00:20:43,536
Who? When?
195
00:20:44,676 --> 00:20:46,143
Yesterday.
196
00:20:48,880 --> 00:20:49,847
I don't remember.
197
00:20:52,818 --> 00:20:54,419
I'm losing track of time.
198
00:20:54,419 --> 00:20:55,784
It's already spring.
199
00:20:58,223 --> 00:20:59,588
True...
200
00:21:01,226 --> 00:21:02,887
...cats chase around at night...
201
00:21:05,230 --> 00:21:07,198
...meowing.
202
00:21:08,634 --> 00:21:09,896
Let me go.
203
00:21:10,235 --> 00:21:13,796
No. I've read news
from the front.
204
00:21:14,239 --> 00:21:15,706
Good news!
205
00:21:18,043 --> 00:21:20,204
"You know, I keep
having dreams."
206
00:21:22,247 --> 00:21:24,408
No one wants
anything from me.
207
00:21:25,250 --> 00:21:29,209
Nothing. It's almost
hard to believe.
208
00:21:30,756 --> 00:21:33,224
I've never felt this good.
209
00:21:36,762 --> 00:21:39,731
"Neither in prison,
nor in the ghetto."
210
00:21:46,271 --> 00:21:49,035
You don't need to lock
the door anymore.
211
00:21:50,075 --> 00:21:51,838
I won't be leaving anyway...
212
00:21:54,613 --> 00:21:56,774
...not even
when the war ends...
213
00:22:00,218 --> 00:22:02,778
...not even when
the war ends!
214
00:22:15,734 --> 00:22:18,202
Everyone held flowers
in their hands...
215
00:22:19,237 --> 00:22:21,398
...because it's called
the Feast of the Rose.
216
00:22:23,241 --> 00:22:25,709
Mother wore long
swinging earrings...
217
00:22:26,545 --> 00:22:28,604
...and a golden brooch.
218
00:22:29,648 --> 00:22:34,312
And?
Tell me more.
219
00:22:37,756 --> 00:22:39,314
There were candles
on the table.
220
00:22:39,558 --> 00:22:44,222
When father came back
we sat around the table.
221
00:22:46,465 --> 00:22:48,524
We were all good
to each other.
222
00:22:51,970 --> 00:22:57,875
Mother kept repeating,
"Leben und leben lassen."
223
00:22:59,311 --> 00:23:01,176
What does it mean?
224
00:23:02,214 --> 00:23:07,379
Not to kill.
"Live and let live" .
225
00:23:10,522 --> 00:23:12,990
The Jewish prophet said that.
226
00:23:13,225 --> 00:23:17,184
"The poet was a Jew,
but he wrote in German."
227
00:23:25,737 --> 00:23:27,796
Tell it to me again.
228
00:23:30,242 --> 00:23:31,106
I haven't thought
about it before.
229
00:23:33,545 --> 00:23:36,105
Only since they started coming.
230
00:23:39,751 --> 00:23:43,619
They come to you?
You see them?
231
00:23:44,256 --> 00:23:45,223
Yes.
232
00:23:47,459 --> 00:23:48,721
All of them.
233
00:23:53,398 --> 00:23:55,866
It must be beautiful.
234
00:23:58,203 --> 00:24:02,970
I knew from the moment
you came to us that you're different.
235
00:24:05,210 --> 00:24:07,178
Do they come
to you often?
236
00:24:08,213 --> 00:24:10,374
Whenever I'm left alone.
237
00:24:11,716 --> 00:24:13,479
Do you talk with them?
238
00:24:17,222 --> 00:24:19,190
"Is it green outside, yet?"
239
00:24:21,226 --> 00:24:23,990
"It's fully spring,
can't you feel it?"
240
00:24:28,233 --> 00:24:30,497
I also see somebody
in my dreams every night.
241
00:24:31,036 --> 00:24:32,298
Do you know who it is?
242
00:24:35,440 --> 00:24:39,308
I see you quite clearly.
You're talking to me.
243
00:24:41,046 --> 00:24:43,014
Last night you told me...
244
00:24:45,951 --> 00:24:48,511
"Oh, can I really believe it?"
245
00:24:51,256 --> 00:24:55,659
Aren't you curious to know
what it is you asked me?
246
00:25:36,835 --> 00:25:38,996
I had to wait until she left.
247
00:25:42,741 --> 00:25:44,643
"I didn't want to talk
around her, mom."
248
00:25:44,643 --> 00:25:47,245
I never taught
you to hate.
249
00:25:47,245 --> 00:25:49,748
"Remember, our suffering
has been going on..."
250
00:25:49,748 --> 00:25:52,148
...for over five thousand
years already.
251
00:25:52,484 --> 00:25:55,186
You have to be
strong like Samson.
252
00:25:55,186 --> 00:25:56,346
Mom!
253
00:25:58,490 --> 00:26:00,549
Is there any strength
left in me?
254
00:26:03,194 --> 00:26:05,856
"Samson, with his bare hands,
tore a lion to pieces."
255
00:26:06,398 --> 00:26:07,558
Tell me...
256
00:26:12,804 --> 00:26:15,967
I have nobody.
I am alone.
257
00:26:18,510 --> 00:26:20,569
Could this be my strength?
258
00:26:21,212 --> 00:26:25,417
Fear is your strength.
You want to live. I understand.
259
00:26:25,417 --> 00:26:28,580
"You're the same as me,
although you despise me."
260
00:26:28,720 --> 00:26:31,222
"Fear is your weakness,
because you're afraid to die!"
261
00:26:31,222 --> 00:26:35,386
No! I don't want to die
just because of my face!
262
00:26:38,229 --> 00:26:39,196
Go away!
263
00:26:45,737 --> 00:26:48,297
You're one of those
that I picked from the street.
264
00:26:49,341 --> 00:26:51,400
I found you on the sidewalk.
265
00:26:54,879 --> 00:26:57,040
I've deserted you.
266
00:26:57,382 --> 00:27:00,749
"There's the price of life,
and the price of death."
267
00:27:01,686 --> 00:27:03,153
Do you remember that?
268
00:27:04,990 --> 00:27:07,049
"They took him, in chains..."
269
00:27:07,392 --> 00:27:09,257
...and locked him up
in a dark cell...
270
00:27:10,395 --> 00:27:13,262
...and his hair began to grow back...
271
00:27:13,498 --> 00:27:15,200
...and he appealed to the Lord
and said...
272
00:27:15,200 --> 00:27:20,263
"My Lord remember me,
and restore my former might."
273
00:27:20,705 --> 00:27:22,366
Listen...
274
00:27:25,210 --> 00:27:28,976
...have they blinded me already?
275
00:29:00,171 --> 00:29:01,536
"Carefully, carefully."
276
00:29:05,977 --> 00:29:09,242
A German truck was rushing behind
a tram and he got hit on the head.
277
00:29:09,380 --> 00:29:11,041
"He was a good man,
but had a wretched life."
278
00:29:15,186 --> 00:29:17,154
He died without a priest.
279
00:29:33,505 --> 00:29:39,068
Sleep.
Everything's all right.
280
00:30:00,431 --> 00:30:01,398
What's going on?
281
00:30:01,733 --> 00:30:04,936
Don't you know?
The ghetto is burning!
282
00:30:04,936 --> 00:30:07,097
They've been shooting
since morning.
283
00:30:30,862 --> 00:30:31,829
What's happening?
284
00:30:44,275 --> 00:30:45,242
Where?
285
00:30:46,678 --> 00:30:48,043
These explosions.
286
00:30:49,781 --> 00:30:51,942
"No, they're not in town."
287
00:30:52,717 --> 00:30:54,878
"Look, I brought you some cake."
288
00:30:55,720 --> 00:30:58,484
I had one just like it.
289
00:31:02,827 --> 00:31:05,591
Don't you like it?
290
00:31:07,432 --> 00:31:09,491
That must be
the front approaching.
291
00:31:09,734 --> 00:31:14,398
We have to be very careful now.
I'll cover the windows.
292
00:31:35,360 --> 00:31:37,828
Why doesn't Mr. Malina
come to see me anymore?
293
00:31:39,464 --> 00:31:44,026
Uncle has gone away
for a couple of days.
294
00:32:37,255 --> 00:32:39,621
I'm taking you
upstairs today.
295
00:32:40,258 --> 00:32:43,819
"You won't stay here
any longer, you hear?"
296
00:32:45,263 --> 00:32:51,224
You're leaving here.
Upstairs to the apartment.
297
00:32:53,504 --> 00:32:56,564
I have everything ready.
I've rearranged the furniture.
298
00:32:57,408 --> 00:33:00,275
You'll see how nice it is now.
299
00:33:02,313 --> 00:33:04,281
We'll be together.
300
00:33:05,516 --> 00:33:09,384
Why aren't you happy?
301
00:33:10,021 --> 00:33:11,682
I'm going upstairs?
302
00:33:12,724 --> 00:33:16,683
Not yet.
After dark.
303
00:33:18,229 --> 00:33:19,430
Upstairs?
304
00:33:19,430 --> 00:33:20,397
Yes.
305
00:33:21,532 --> 00:33:26,401
Where is Mr. Malina?
I wanted to say goodbye.
306
00:33:31,042 --> 00:33:34,705
I'm taking you upstairs
to the apartment!
307
00:33:36,647 --> 00:33:38,114
What about them?
308
00:33:39,350 --> 00:33:41,552
They won't come here anymore.
309
00:33:41,552 --> 00:33:44,214
They already know that uncle...
310
00:33:44,455 --> 00:33:46,157
Don't be scared.
311
00:33:46,157 --> 00:33:48,022
I must go back to them.
312
00:33:48,760 --> 00:33:50,625
I must be with them.
313
00:33:52,697 --> 00:33:54,358
I must go back...
314
00:33:55,500 --> 00:33:59,163
" ...yes, to the ghetto."
315
00:33:59,704 --> 00:34:01,262
To the ghetto?
316
00:34:02,306 --> 00:34:04,208
The ghetto is gone.
317
00:34:04,208 --> 00:34:08,513
There's nothing there anymore!
The uprising is long over!
318
00:34:08,513 --> 00:34:10,777
They ran out of ammunition.
319
00:34:14,719 --> 00:34:18,985
The Germans burnt down
the last houses! No survivors!
320
00:34:23,428 --> 00:34:24,690
That not true!
321
00:34:30,735 --> 00:34:31,997
You're lying!
322
00:34:41,245 --> 00:34:44,649
I'm not lying. I went everyday.
I saw everything!
323
00:34:44,649 --> 00:34:47,015
"They defended themselves,
but the Germans were stronger."
324
00:34:47,552 --> 00:34:49,713
"There's no one there
anymore, understand?"
325
00:34:49,954 --> 00:34:52,445
They'll be taking down
the walls soon!
326
00:34:57,495 --> 00:34:59,258
No! No!
327
00:38:51,228 --> 00:38:52,718
You're a brave man!
328
00:38:58,169 --> 00:39:00,535
You have any money?
Hand it over!
329
00:39:10,981 --> 00:39:12,539
You prefer the Germans?
330
00:39:14,685 --> 00:39:20,646
"Well, dead man, no deal?
You prefer the Germans?"
331
00:39:22,093 --> 00:39:23,694
What does he want
from that guy?
332
00:39:23,694 --> 00:39:24,995
He's a Jew catcher.
333
00:39:24,995 --> 00:39:27,463
"He's caught a Jew,
and wants to skin him alive."
334
00:39:28,399 --> 00:39:30,060
The guy won't even squeal.
335
00:39:31,202 --> 00:39:34,205
Don't pretend you're some saint!
I know you have some one near here!
336
00:39:34,205 --> 00:39:36,673
Do you think
I live a good life?
337
00:39:37,708 --> 00:39:39,573
Hey! What?
Let me go!
338
00:40:31,262 --> 00:40:32,923
Who's that?
339
00:40:36,267 --> 00:40:37,768
We were in prison
together before the war.
340
00:40:37,768 --> 00:40:40,931
I found him on the street.
Some guy beat him.
341
00:40:41,272 --> 00:40:43,240
I couldn't leave him
there all alone.
342
00:40:58,222 --> 00:40:59,985
Signal them
that I'm coming down.
343
00:41:31,255 --> 00:41:32,256
What's going on?
344
00:41:32,256 --> 00:41:33,557
Is the professor downstairs?
345
00:41:33,557 --> 00:41:35,024
He is.
346
00:41:39,063 --> 00:41:41,224
"Stupid, why did
you run from me?"
347
00:41:44,268 --> 00:41:45,826
Professor...
348
00:41:46,270 --> 00:41:47,532
What is it?
349
00:41:49,273 --> 00:41:51,833
I've brought a man who was
beaten. He's lying upstairs.
350
00:41:52,209 --> 00:41:53,870
"Good, good."
351
00:42:26,243 --> 00:42:27,210
I brought a Jew.
352
00:42:28,245 --> 00:42:29,803
" All right, I'm coming..."
353
00:42:53,203 --> 00:42:54,761
Where were you before?
354
00:42:59,710 --> 00:43:05,171
"There's no danger here.
You're safe, understand?"
355
00:43:06,617 --> 00:43:08,175
Answer me.
356
00:43:10,220 --> 00:43:13,587
"There's no danger here, understand?"
357
00:43:17,227 --> 00:43:18,194
Drink.
358
00:43:19,229 --> 00:43:22,687
"Sit up.
Sit up, will you?"
359
00:43:28,639 --> 00:43:30,197
I want to help you.
360
00:43:31,542 --> 00:43:33,203
Were you hiding
on this side?
361
00:43:34,244 --> 00:43:36,712
Nobody survived.
362
00:43:38,749 --> 00:43:40,808
Everything was destroyed.
363
00:43:42,252 --> 00:43:45,312
I didn't know.
I was blind.
364
00:43:46,256 --> 00:43:48,724
You can't do that!
You can't!
365
00:43:49,259 --> 00:43:50,726
Start thinking.
366
00:43:51,462 --> 00:43:53,555
Only a man can suffer
such an ordeal...
367
00:43:53,998 --> 00:43:56,967
...and only a man
can rise back up.
368
00:43:57,701 --> 00:43:59,464
You have to find
the strength for that!
369
00:44:00,204 --> 00:44:01,466
You are a man.
370
00:44:14,518 --> 00:44:16,486
And who are you?
371
00:44:18,722 --> 00:44:21,088
Thank you.
I'll do it myself.
372
00:44:24,728 --> 00:44:26,286
This will hurt a bit.
373
00:44:26,730 --> 00:44:28,197
- Professor?
- Yes?
374
00:44:28,432 --> 00:44:29,990
- It's time.
- Is it ready?
375
00:44:30,234 --> 00:44:31,599
Yes.
376
00:44:31,935 --> 00:44:33,903
Good. I'll bring the rest.
377
00:44:42,746 --> 00:44:44,213
You want to cover my face?
378
00:44:45,049 --> 00:44:47,751
Anyone will recognize it.
379
00:44:47,751 --> 00:44:52,017
"I don't want to cover it,
I want to bandage your wound."
380
00:44:52,389 --> 00:44:53,947
Anyone can tell what I am.
381
00:44:54,191 --> 00:44:57,558
It doesn't matter
what your face looks like.
382
00:44:57,995 --> 00:45:00,463
"If they bust in here,
everyone they meet will die..."
383
00:45:00,698 --> 00:45:02,859
...regardless of their face.
384
00:45:03,200 --> 00:45:04,565
Are you telling the truth?
385
00:45:05,202 --> 00:45:07,762
"Just look around,
none of them wants to die..."
386
00:45:08,205 --> 00:45:10,867
...but none of us
will die for nothing.
387
00:45:12,409 --> 00:45:14,172
See this?
388
00:45:14,311 --> 00:45:18,270
"The price of our life,
and the price of our death."
389
00:45:19,216 --> 00:45:20,683
Do you believe me now?
390
00:45:52,182 --> 00:45:55,242
"Listen, you'll stay with him."
391
00:45:55,786 --> 00:45:57,947
I'll be back before dark.
392
00:46:34,925 --> 00:46:36,586
You'll stay with us.
393
00:46:56,380 --> 00:46:57,642
Who was he?
394
00:46:59,082 --> 00:47:00,049
Who?
395
00:47:00,184 --> 00:47:01,742
The one who talked to me.
396
00:47:03,687 --> 00:47:05,052
Pankrat.
397
00:47:06,490 --> 00:47:07,548
Pankrat?
398
00:47:13,297 --> 00:47:14,958
Pankrat.
You didn't know?
399
00:49:59,229 --> 00:50:02,995
keep them here.The boy
will warn his companions.
400
00:50:03,333 --> 00:50:07,237
The man who dressed your wounds
shouldn't come back here.
401
00:50:07,237 --> 00:50:08,238
keep them here.
402
00:50:08,238 --> 00:50:09,940
That will be the moment
of your strength...
403
00:50:09,940 --> 00:50:13,501
...the moment
of your salvation.
404
00:50:13,643 --> 00:50:15,746
You shall bring your oppressors
to their knees...
405
00:50:15,746 --> 00:50:17,247
...for the deaths
of the innocent...
406
00:50:17,247 --> 00:50:19,408
...for all the evil
you were made to suffer!
407
00:50:19,549 --> 00:50:22,211
Now is the time. Translation - Spanish 1

00: 02: 12,031 -> 00: 02: 14,192
Un día de primavera.
9
00: 02: 14,334 -> 00: 02: 15,198
"Más tarde, la vio..."
10
00: 02: 15,335 -> 00: 02: 16,700
"...como la primera peculiaridad en el destino..."
11
00: 02: 16,836 -> 00: 02: 18,201
"...hacia el que de manera constante..."
12
00: 02: 18,338 -> 00: 02: 20,898
"...e inconcebible iba caminando."
13
00: 02: 23,243 -> 00: 02: 25,803
Es una pena que tu padre
no haya vivido para ver este día.
14
00: 02: 25,945 -> 00: 02: 28,311
Tu primera conferencia.
15
00: 02: 28,748 -> 00: 02: 29,749
"Adiós, mamá."
16
00: 02: 29,749 -> 00: 02: 30,716
Adiós.
17
00: 02: 33,753 -> 00: 02: 36,756
"No me incumbe,
pero podrías irte a tu casa."
18
00: 02: 36,756 -> 00: 02: 38,223
¿De qué se trata esta procesión?
19
00: 02: 38,358 -> 00: 02: 39,459
Quiero ir con ellos.
20
00: 02: 39,459 -> 00: 02: 42,519
Habrá una reunión en breve, pero no
es para ti. Será mejor que te vayas.
21
00: 02: 42,662 -> 00: 02: 43,629
"Está bien, está bien."
22
00: 02: 53,373 -> 00: 02: 56,240
No sabía que el odio
crecía intensamente esos días.
23
00: 02: 56,776 -> 00: 02: 58,937
No sentía su toque oscuro.
24
00: 02: 59,779 -> 00: 03: 02,942
Él llegó equipado del concepto escolar
de la fraternidad humana.
25
00: 03: 03,082 -> 00: 03: 05,676
No creía ser
diferente de los demás.
26
00: 03: 06,219 -> 00: 03: 08,021
"Hasta el momento, no tenía amigos..."
27
00: 03: 08,021 -> 00: 03: 10,723
"...pero tal vez tendría uno algún día."
28
00: 03: 10,723 -> 00: 03: 13,626
Todo lo que los unió, o
debió haberlos unido...
29
00: 03: 13,626 -> 00: 03: 15,184
...los libros que leían...
30
00: 03: 15,328 -> 00: 03: 16,989
...los nombres de sus héroes...
31
00: 03: 17,230 -> 00: 03: 19,596
...la tierra que los vio nacer.
32
00: 03: 19,732 -> 00: 03: 23,498
Esperaba escuchar sus primeras palabras.
33
00: 03: 25,238 -> 00: 03: 28,696
¡Péguenle al judío!
34
00: 03: 31,444 -> 00: 03: 33,246
¿No sabes cuál es tu lugar?
35
00: 03: 33,246 -> 00: 03: 34,907
¡Muévete a la izquierda!
36
00: 03: 35,748 -> 00: 03: 37,250
¿Que estás esperando? ¿Muévete!
37
00: 03: 37,250 -> 00: 03: 39,218
"¡Más rápido, más rápido!"
38
00: 03: 47,260 -> 00: 03: 50,718
¡Viene el profesor!
39
00: 04: 02,775 -> 00: 04: 05,471
No vayas por este camino.
Da la vuelta.
40
00: 04: 08,815 -> 00: 04: 11,181
¡Tú! ¡judío!
41
00: 04: 13,219 -> 00: 04: 14,686
¿Qué quieres aquí?
42
00: 04: 20,226 -> 00: 04: 21,989
¡Un espía judío!
43
00: 04: 26,232 -> 00: 04: 27,995
¡De rodillas!
44
00: 04: 33,740 -> 00: 04: 35,708
¡Péguenle al judío!
45
00: 04: 46,452 -> 00: 04: 49,216
¡Ha profanado la bandera!
46
00: 04: 55,762 -> 00: 04: 59,220
No sean necios. Paren.
47
00: 06: 01,260 -> 00: 06: 03,626
¡Lo mató!
¡Lo mató!
48
00: 06: 03,763 -> 00: 06: 05,025
¡Eso no es cierto!
49
00: 06: 09,202 -> 00: 06: 10,669
¡Yo no quería matarlo!
50
00: 07: 30,917 -> 00: 07: 33,283
"Celda 25, ¿puedes oírme?"
51
00: 07: 35,221 -> 00: 07: 40,181
"Sí, ¿quién es?"
52
00: 07: 41,727 -> 00: 07: 43,888
Preso político. Doce años.
53
00: 07: 45,031 -> 00: 07: 46,896
"Dime cuánto tiempo y por qué."
54
00: 07: 50,236 -> 00: 07: 51,703
Asesinato. Diez años.
55
00: 07: 54,340 -> 00: 07: 56,501
¿Celos? ¿Venganza?
56
00: 07: 57,743 -> 00: 07: 58,710
No.
57
00: 07: 58,845 -> 00: 07: 59,812
¿Robo?
58
00: 08: 00,746 -> 00: 08: 01,747
No.
59
00: 08: 01,747 -> 00: 08: 02,907
¿Dónde y cuándo?
60
00: 08: 04,750 -> 00: 08: 07,742
"Aquí, en Varsovia."
61
00: 08: 09,288 -> 00: 08: 11,654
En el Campo Politécnico.
62
00: 08: 12,191 -> 00: 08: 16,355
Maté a un estudiante con una roca.
63
00: 08: 18,297 -> 00: 08: 20,060
He oído hablar de ti.
64
00: 08: 21,901 -> 00: 08: 24,704
"Debes apelar, ¿entiendes?"
65
00: 08: 24,704 -> 00: 08: 28,663
¿Por qué? Lo maté.
66
00: 08: 29,208 -> 00: 08: 32,769
Fue en defensa propia.
Hubo testigos.
67
00: 08: 33,913 -> 00: 08: 35,278
Les prohibieron testificar.
68
00: 08: 36,716 -> 00: 08: 38,183
Cuéntame cómo pasó.
69
00: 08: 39,218 -> 00: 08: 41,686
No puedo entender
por qué fue mi culpa.
70
00: 08: 44,724 -> 00: 08: 45,986
Quítate ese peso de encima.
71
00: 08: 47,026 -> 00: 08: 48,994
La misma piedra
te podría haber matado a ti.
72
00: 08: 50,730 -> 00: 08: 52,994
El asesino hubiera sido declarado inocente.
73
00: 08: 54,033 -> 00: 08: 56,194
Necesitaban un chivo expiatorio.
74
00: 08: 56,836 -> 00: 08: 58,201
Un asesino judío.
75
00: 08: 58,838 -> 00: 09: 00,100
¡Usa tu cerebro!
76
00: 09: 03,743 -> 00: 09: 07,839
Si hubiera tenido un puñado de arena
en vez de esa piedra...
77
00: 09: 09,982 -> 00: 09: 13,349
¿Qué? No puedo oirte.
78
00: 09: 13,786 -> 00: 09: 15,549
Acércate a las barras.
79
00: 09: 20,192 -> 00: 09: 21,794
No puedes rendirte.
80
00: 09: 21,794 -> 00: 09: 22,658
Escucha...
81
00: 09: 23,396 -> 00: 09: 25,057
Tienes que defenderte.
82
00: 09: 25,698 -> 00: 09: 26,960
¿Contra qué?
83
00: 09: 31,404 -> 00: 09: 35,170
¡Cuidado con el guardia!
84
00: 09: 41,013 -> 00: 09: 42,275
Buen día.
85
00: 10: 20,152 -> 00: 10: 23,656
Mi nombre es Jozef Malina...
86
00: 10: 23,656 -> 00: 10: 26,625
...y este es mi departamento.
87
00: 10: 26,759 -> 00: 10: 29,523
Empecé a extrañarlo en el hospital.
88
00: 10: 30,363 -> 00: 10: 35,426
Hay peores lugares en el mundo.
89
00: 10: 38,771 -> 00: 10: 40,432
"Es tu primera vez, ¿no?"
90
00: 10: 42,775 -> 00: 10: 46,233
¿Sabes cómo tejer canastos?
91
00: 10: 48,080 -> 00: 10: 49,138
Es el mejor trabajo que hay.
92
00: 10: 49,281 -> 00: 10: 52,739
No es muy ambicioso
pero no tengo quejas.
93
00: 11: 00,993 -> 00: 11: 03,154
"Es ese comunista, Pankrat."
94
00: 11: 05,431 -> 00: 11: 08,298
Sabe que volví del hospital.
95
00: 11: 10,136 -> 00: 11: 11,797
Quieren quebrarlo...
96
00: 11: 11,937 -> 00: 11: 13,700
...pero es un hombre de hierro.
97
00: 11: 15,441 -> 00: 11: 17,500
Aunque no estoy seguro de si...
98
00: 11: 17,743 -> 00: 11: 20,405
...la gente debería ser de hierro.
99
00: 11: 55,181 -> 00: 11: 58,048
Habla Pankrat. ¿Me escuchas?
100
00: 11: 58,784 -> 00: 12: 00,251
Te escucho.
101
00: 12: 01,387 -> 00: 12: 04,754
"Mañana por la noche, se desatará el infierno."
102
00: 12: 05,925 -> 00: 12: 07,483
¿Qué significa eso?
103
00: 12: 07,727 -> 00: 12: 08,785
Ya verás.
104
00: 12: 10,930 -> 00: 12: 12,295
¿Qué debería hacer?
105
00: 12: 13,232 -> 00: 12: 14,893
Sigue a los demás.
106
00: 12: 16,235 -> 00: 12: 17,998
¿Cómo sabré?
107
00: 12: 18,738 -> 00: 12: 20,103
Los oirás.
108
00: 12: 20,339 -> 00: 12: 22,102
Contamos contigo.
109
00: 12: 23,743 -> 00: 12: 26,211
Estaré esperando.
110
00: 12: 27,747 -> 00: 12: 29,408
"¡Cuidado, el reflector!"
111
00: 13: 06,719 -> 00: 13: 09,279
¿Tienes a alguien además de tu madre?
112
00: 13: 09,922 -> 00: 13: 10,889
A nadie.
113
00: 13: 17,930 -> 00: 13: 19,591
Tengo un hijo.
114
00: 13: 20,232 -> 00: 13: 22,792
Tenía tuberculosis en los huesos.
115
00: 13: 23,736 -> 00: 13: 26,296
Eso sólo se puede tratar en Suiza.
116
00: 13: 29,742 -> 00: 13: 34,702
Robé lo suficiente
como para pagar los tratamientos...
117
00: 13: 34,947 -> 00: 13: 37,108
...y lo curaron.
118
00: 13: 38,250 -> 00: 13: 41,310
Creo que eso me hace un buen padre...
119
00: 13: 43,455 -> 00: 13: 45,923
...pero no un buen cajero.
120
00: 13: 47,259 -> 00: 13: 51,127
"La última vez, mi madre me pidió que fuera fuerte..."
121
00: 13: 52,765 -> 00: 13: 55,131
"...y después me dijo que me cuidara."
122
00: 13: 56,168 -> 00: 13: 58,636
Mi hijo también es hijo único.
123
00: 14: 00,773 -> 00: 14: 02,934
Le dije que aquí nos cuidan.
124
00: 14: 13,719 -> 00: 14: 15,482
Basta.
125
00: 14: 29,235 -> 00: 14: 31,499
No quise matarlo.
126
00: 15: 03,969 -> 00: 15: 05,368
¡Cobarde de mierda!
127
00: 15: 20,219 -> 00: 15: 21,186
¡Pankrat!
128
00: 15: 28,227 -> 00: 15: 29,888
Tengo que decirte algo.
129
00: 15: 31,230 -> 00: 15: 32,197
Habla.
130
00: 15: 34,733 -> 00: 15: 36,291
Sé por qué guardas silencio.
131
00: 15: 38,037 -> 00: 15: 42,201
"Escucha, déjame explicarte."
132
00: 15: 43,142 -> 00: 15: 45,804
No pude hacerlo.
133
00: 15: 46,745 -> 00: 15: 48,508
Tienes que creerme.
134
00: 15: 50,950 -> 00: 15: 54,716
"¡No soy un cobarde, Pankrat!"
135
00: 17: 10,896 -> 00: 17: 12,454
"Sr. Malina, es el momento."
136
00: 17: 20,205 -> 00: 17: 22,070
"No es tan terrible, ¿no?"
137
00: 17: 23,008 -> 00: 17: 24,270
Te acostumbras.
138
00: 17: 24,410 -> 00: 17: 27,379
"Apúrate, o te encierro otros tres años."
139
00: 17: 28,714 -> 00: 17: 32,418
"¿Cómo? Sí, te acostumbras."
140
00: 17: 32,418 -> 00: 17: 34,181
"Sr. Malina, no tengo tiempo.
Ya son las doce."
141
00: 17: 35,721 -> 00: 17: 37,623
"Sr. Malina, acabo de ver a mi madre."
142
00: 17: 37,623 -> 00: 17: 40,926
Me voy.
Estaba esperando para despedirme.
143
00: 17: 40,926 -> 00: 17: 42,227
¡Sr. Malina!
144
00: 17: 42,227 -> 00: 17: 43,785
"Voy, voy."
145
00: 17: 44,329 -> 00: 17: 45,796
Recuerda mi dirección.
146
00: 17: 45,931 -> 00: 17: 50,891
"65 Calle Mokotowska, apartamento 34."
147
00: 17: 51,236 -> 00: 17: 52,396
¿Vendrás a verme?
148
00: 17: 52,738 -> 00: 17: 54,039
¿Lo harás?
149
00: 17: 54,039 -> 00: 17: 55,006
Sí.
150
00: 21: 35,761 -> 00: 21: 40,926
La libertad no era lo que se había imaginado
en sus días de prisión...
151
00: 21: 41,266 -> 00: 21: 47,227
...cuando pensaba en ella constantemente.
152
00: 21: 48,173 -> 00: 21: 50,539
Lo saludó con el calor árido de la guerra
y con multitudes de refugiados que huían.
153
00: 21: 53,979 -> 00: 21: 55,742
Reconoció caras conocidas...
154
00: 21: 56,782 -> 00: 21: 58,249
...de algunas de las otras celdas...
155
00: 21: 59,084 -> 00: 22: 03,748
...pero al hombre con el que habló
supuestamente se lo habían llevado por la noche.
156
00: 22: 04,790 -> 00: 22: 08,385
"Su amigo invisible fue trasladado
a una celda oscura, pero logró..."
157
00: 22: 08,727 -> 00: 22: 14,688
"...enviar un mensaje a escondidas
que impidió que se lo viera a Jakub como un cobarde."
158
00: 22: 45,864 -> 00: 22: 50,528
"Pronto, la resistencia estará en silencio
y las armas caerán al suelo."
159
00: 22: 51,169 -> 00: 22: 53,228
"Los recuerdos de sus años de prisión..."
160
00: 22: 53,772 -> 00: 22: 57,275
"...incluirán caras y voces..."
161
00: 22: 57,275 -> 00: 23: 03,043
"...la dirección de alguien, el frío húmedo
de las paredes, y un golpeteo."
162
00: 23: 03,382 -> 00: 23: 05,782
Recordará todo esto...
163
00: 23: 06,017 -> 00: 23: 11,978
...y llegará el momento en el que
esos recuerdos serán su única esperanza.
164
00: 23: 23,935 -> 00: 23: 27,894
"Todavía es de día, y el aire
está lleno de humo."
165
00: 23: 28,540 -> 00: 23: 31,407
La derrota ocurrió a plena luz del día...
166
00: 23: 31,543 -> 00: 23: 34,603
...pero la oscuridad lentamente
cae sobre la tierra.
167
00: 23: 35,447 -> 00: 23: 37,506
Todos van a seguir su propio camino...
168
00: 23: 38,049 -> 00: 23: 40,609
...para encontrar a sus familiares y decirles...
169
00: 23: 40,752 -> 00: 23: 43,619
"¡Aquí estoy! ¡Ya volví!"
170
00: 23: 52,964 -> 00: 23: 54,727
"En el centro de la ciudad, hay un..."
171
00: 23: 54,800 -> 00: 23: 56,268
"... nuevo distrito acordonado,
creado para las personas..."
172
00: 23: 56,268 -> 00: 23: 59,635
...que están condenadas a muerte
por el sólo hecho de existir.
173
00: 24: 00,071 -> 00: 24: 02,474
Allí habrá leyes especiales...
174
00: 24: 02,474 -> 00: 24: 05,170
...y las súplicas de misericordia
no serán escuchadas.
175
00: 24: 05,710 -> 00: 24: 09,168
"En esta multitud, los brazaletes con estrellas
determinarán el futuro de todos."
176
00: 25: 17,616 -> 00: 25: 19,584
Un poco ha cambiado desde aquellos días...
177
00: 25: 20,418 -> 00: 25: 22,579
...pero si miras profundamente
dentro de su mente...
178
00: 25: 23,221 -> 00: 25: 25,883
...encontrarás algunas de las lecciones...
179
00: 25: 26,424 -> 00: 25: 29,188
...que su madre le enseñó hace mucho tiempo.
180
00: 25: 29,728 -> 00: 25: 33,789
Una de esas lecciones era la de enterrar a los muertos.
181
00: 25: 34,432 -> 00: 25: 36,593
Esa responsabilidad es de todos los sobrevivientes...
182
00: 25: 37,135 -> 00: 25: 39,399
...y se cumple para tener una consciencia tranquila.
183
00: 26: 32,223 -> 00: 26: 33,190
Mamá.
184
00: 26: 37,228 -> 00: 26: 38,195
¿Mamá?
185
00: 26: 41,833 -> 00: 26: 45,291
"¿Qué pasa, mamá?"
186
00: 26: 57,048 -> 00: 26: 58,015
¡Mamá!
187
00: 27: 09,694 -> 00: 27: 11,662
Se desmayó. Corrí a buscarle agua...
188
00: 27: 11,796 -> 00: 27: 13,661
...pero debe haber muerto. Soy su primo.
189
00: 27: 13,732 -> 00: 27: 16,257
"Hice todo lo que pude, pero,
¿qué más podría haber hecho?"
190
00: 30: 33,865 -> 00: 30: 37,028
¡Tú! Ven aquí.
191
00: 30: 39,370 -> 00: 30: 40,928
Ayúdame a trepar la pared.
192
00: 30: 42,273 -> 00: 30: 43,740
Ya la has enterrado.
No hay nada más que puedas hacer por ella.
193
00: 30: 43,808 -> 00: 30: 45,241
Vamos.
194
00: 31: 04,796 -> 00: 31: 06,889
Ven conmigo. No tienes a nadie más.
195
00: 32: 05,423 -> 00: 32: 08,187
"Así es la vida. Vamos."
196
00: 32: 08,526 -> 00: 32: 10,084
Yo te ayudaré.
197
00: 32: 47,865 -> 00: 32: 50,629
¡Gienio! ¡Dios!
198
00: 32: 54,973 -> 00: 32: 57,339
"¡Dios mío, has venido!"
199
00: 33: 54,165 -> 00: 33: 56,030
"Wieska, es la hora de cierre."
200
00: 34: 02,373 -> 00: 34: 03,474
¿Quién es?
201
00: 34: 03,474 -> 00: 34: 04,338
- ¿Quién?
- Ese judío.
202
00: 34: 04,475 -> 00: 34: 06,670
Está conmigo.
203
00: 34: 07,311 -> 00: 34: 08,676
¿Alguien los vió juntos?
204
00: 34: 09,113 -> 00: 34: 10,715
"No, no, no."
205
00: 34: 10,715 -> 00: 34: 12,478
¿Cómo pudiste traerlo aquí?
206
00: 34: 12,717 -> 00: 34: 15,319
"Me ayudó a trepar el muro."
207
00: 34: 15,319 -> 00: 34: 17,722
"Dejemos que pase la noche."
208
00: 34: 17,722 -> 00: 34: 19,824
¡Imposible! No hay nadie como él aquí.
209
00: 34: 19,824 -> 00: 34: 21,985
¡Mis nervios no pueden manejar que esté aquí!
210
00: 34: 23,127 -> 00: 34: 24,929
Dejemos que se quede hasta mañana.
211
00: 34: 24,929 -> 00: 34: 26,396
Se puede ir a la mañana.
212
00: 34: 27,331 -> 00: 34: 29,595
¡O se va ahora mismo
o te vas con él!
213
00: 34: 45,149 -> 00: 34: 47,413
"¡No es mi idea, es de ella!"
214
00: 34: 47,752 -> 00: 34: 49,310
¡Ella no te conoce!
215
00: 34: 50,154 -> 00: 34: 51,815
¡Mira tu cara!
216
00: 34: 52,457 -> 00: 34: 55,017
¡Dice que ya no hay gente como tú
de este lado de las vallas!
217
00: 35: 00,364 -> 00: 35: 01,922
¿Qué le pasa?
218
00: 35: 03,468 -> 00: 35: 05,265
Tócalo.
219
00: 35: 07,805 -> 00: 35: 09,670
No puedes quedarte aquí.
220
00: 35: 11,709 -> 00: 35: 15,076
Dime qué hacer.
221
00: 35: 15,213 -> 00: 35: 17,272
¡Sabías lo que tenías que hacer
del otro lado de la pared!
222
00: 35: 18,316 -> 00: 35: 19,681
"Ahí nadie me tenía miedo."
223
00: 35: 20,218 -> 00: 35: 22,083
¡Que se vaya al otro lado de la pared!
224
00: 35: 23,321 -> 00: 35: 24,879
No puedo solo.
225
00: 35: 26,224 -> 00: 35: 28,626
¡Debe haber pasajes escondidos!
226
00: 35: 28,626 -> 00: 35: 30,685
Te las vas a arreglar.
227
00: 35: 40,138 -> 00: 35: 42,240
Sólo mírate al espejo
y entenderás...
228
00: 35: 42,240 -> 00: 35: 43,707
...porqué él puede quedarse y tú no.
229
00: 35: 47,445 -> 00: 35: 48,912
Entiendo.
230
00: 35: 57,755 -> 00: 35: 59,257
¡No me mires así!
231
00: 35: 59,257 -> 00: 36: 00,815
¡No me mires!
232
00: 36: 06,797 -> 00: 36: 09,061
Déjame esperar aquí hasta que oscurezca.
233
00: 36: 10,701 -> 00: 36: 12,403
No tengo una cara como la tuya.
234
00: 36: 12,403 -> 00: 36: 13,204
Dile...
235
00: 36: 13,204 -> 00: 36: 15,172
¡Vete! ¿No ves cómo está?
236
00: 37: 10,895 -> 00: 37: 12,260
"¡Espera un minuto muchacho!"
237
00: 37: 12,396 -> 00: 37: 13,954
"¡Apúrate o llegaremos tarde!"
238
00: 37: 14,098 -> 00: 37: 14,999
No quisieras que fuera de otra forma.
239
00: 37: 14,999 -> 00: 37: 15,900
Me aburres.
240
00: 37: 15,900 -> 00: 37: 17,401
Siempre en el último momento.
241
00: 37: 17,401 -> 00: 37: 18,368
¡Basta!
242
00: 39: 16,187 -> 00: 39: 17,449
Hay alguien en el techo.
243
00: 39: 39,710 -> 00: 39: 41,712
"Tomando un poco de aire, ¿no?"
244
00: 39: 41,712 -> 00: 39: 43,114
¡Para ti!
245
00: 39: 43,114 -> 00: 39: 45,916
"Genial, una cuarta persona
para la otra mesa."
246
00: 39: 45,916 -> 00: 39: 47,281
¿Quieres jugar?
247
00: 39: 47,418 -> 00: 39: 49,820
¿Qué? ¿Todavía no lo has bebido?
248
00: 39: 49,820 -> 00: 39: 53,984
"Esto no es bueno, te estás quedando atrás."
249
00: 39: 54,125 -> 00: 39: 57,583
"Discúlpame, pero, ¿cómo llegaste aquí?"
250
00: 39: 58,929 -> 00: 40: 00,396
Subí la escalera...
251
00: 40: 01,832 -> 00: 40: 03,390
...y el conserje cerró esa puerta.
252
00: 40: 03,734 -> 00: 40: 05,292
Veo...
253
00: 40: 06,737 -> 00: 40: 08,705
¡Te debes haber congelado!
254
00: 40: 09,440 -> 00: 40: 12,102
¿Dónde crees que vas?
¡Hay toque de queda!
255
00: 40: 12,243 -> 00: 40: 13,801
Tienes que esperar hasta la mañana.
256
00: 40: 14,345 -> 00: 40: 15,903
En la calle lo van a agarrar.
257
00: 40: 16,046 -> 00: 40: 18,310
Vas a tener que quedarte aquí con nosotros.
258
00: 40: 18,849 -> 00: 40: 20,751
¿Sabes qué?
Hace mucho...
259
00: 40: 20,751 -> 00: 40: 23,515
...que quiero conocerte.
260
00: 40: 24,955 -> 00: 40: 26,957
Por supuesto que debería quedarse con nosotros.
261
00: 40: 26,957 -> 00: 40: 28,515
¡Entonces juguemos!
262
00: 40: 29,260 -> 00: 40: 30,727
Entra mucho viento por la ventana.
263
00: 40: 32,062 -> 00: 40: 35,122
Déjame hacerte un lugar aquí.
264
00: 40: 37,368 -> 00: 40: 39,734
"Esto ya no es necesario, ¿verdad?"
265
00: 40: 40,471 -> 00: 40: 43,031
"Muy bien. Entonces voy a repartir."
266
00: 40: 47,478 -> 00: 40: 49,742
Y te volverá un poco de color a la cara.
267
00: 40: 50,181 -> 00: 40: 52,683
Sólo el aire fresco puede ayudar
en esta situación.
268
00: 40: 52,683 -> 00: 40: 54,548
¡Zygmunt! ¡Zygmunt!
269
00: 40: 56,487 -> 00: 40: 59,790
"Hace unos años, un hombre enfermo
vino a verme. Pero el destino..."
270
00: 40: 59,790 -> 00: 41: 01,849
"¡Bueno, bueno! ¡Déjalo en paz."
271
00: 41: 07,731 -> 00: 41: 09,533
"Si me lo permiten, es mi turno."
272
00: 41: 09,533 -> 00: 41: 12,400
- Primero un sabor de la vida...
- ...y luego el resto.
273
00: 41: 34,458 -> 00: 41: 37,427
"Si tocas desafinado, no voy a cantar."
274
00: 42: 23,941 -> 00: 42: 25,909
"Adiós, te vas a resfriar."
275
00: 42: 31,148 -> 00: 42: 34,515
"Levántate, levántate. Vamos a casa."
276
00: 42: 35,052 -> 00: 42: 36,815
No vas a dormir aquí.
277
00: 42: 42,860 -> 00: 42: 44,061
Muchas gracias.
278
00: 42: 44,061 -> 00: 42: 45,763
Disculpas.
279
00: 42: 45,763 -> 00: 42: 47,230
Di adiós.
280
00: 43: 32,142 -> 00: 43: 33,507
¿Quién te ha enviado aquí?
281
00: 43: 33,744 -> 00: 43: 35,211
No entiendo.
282
00: 43: 35,446 -> 00: 43: 38,415
"Alguien debe haberte enviado."
283
00: 43: 38,749 -> 00: 43: 40,808
Te dije que fue azaroso.
284
00: 43: 41,752 -> 00: 43: 43,913
¿Crees que he venido aquí buscando ayuda?
285
00: 43: 52,262 -> 00: 43: 53,820
No te vas a ir.
286
00: 43: 58,168 -> 00: 44: 01,228
Es de día.
Tienes que esperar hasta la noche.
287
00: 44: 06,810 -> 00: 44: 08,471
No tengas miedo.
288
00: 44: 11,015 -> 00: 44: 12,916
Estarás a salvo aquí.
289
00: 44: 12,916 -> 00: 44: 15,077
Tengo visitas sólo de noche.
290
00: 44: 20,724 -> 00: 44: 21,986
¿Te estabas escondiendo de este lado?
291
00: 44: 23,727 -> 00: 44: 26,287
"No, estuve allí todo el tiempo."
292
00: 44: 29,033 -> 00: 44: 30,398
¿Tienes una familia?
293
00: 44: 31,235 -> 00: 44: 32,202
No.
294
00: 44: 35,739 -> 00: 44: 40,044
¿Es realmente tan horrible allí?
295
00: 44: 40,044 -> 00: 44: 43,707
No lo sé. Aquí todo es blanco
y allá negro.
296
00: 44: 44,748 -> 00: 44: 47,911
"Las casas, las calles... y nosotros los judíos."
297
00: 44: 50,554 -> 00: 44: 52,419
Quería quedarme allí y debería haberlo hecho.
298
00: 44: 53,757 -> 00: 44: 54,917
No entiendo.
299
00: 44: 55,359 -> 00: 44: 57,418
Sólo un judío entendería eso.
300
00: 44: 59,263 -> 00: 45: 00,821
Hay excepciones.
301
00: 45: 01,765 -> 00: 45: 04,325
La gente de ambos lados son iguales.
302
00: 45: 04,768 -> 00: 45: 06,303
Crees que todo aquí es blanco...
303
00: 45: 06,303 -> 00: 45: 08,271
...porque no nos conoces.
304
00: 45: 10,207 -> 00: 45: 12,209
El hombre que te empapó con vodka...
305
00: 45: 12,209 -> 00: 45: 14,074
...se escapó de casualidad de la Gestapo.
306
00: 45: 14,912 -> 00: 45: 17,614
El otro es un profesor universitario...
307
00: 45: 17,614 -> 00: 45: 19,878
...y ahora trabaja para el ferrocarril.
308
00: 45: 20,718 -> 00: 45: 22,185
¿Qué estabas haciendo allí?
309
00: 45: 24,121 -> 00: 45: 25,986
Recogía cadáveres de las calles.
310
00: 45: 34,732 -> 00: 45: 36,133
¿Y quieres volver?
311
00: 45: 36,133 -> 00: 45: 37,100
Sí.
312
00: 45: 37,234 -> 00: 45: 38,836
¿Alguien te está esperando?
313
00: 45: 38,836 -> 00: 45: 40,201
"No, nadie."
314
00: 45: 41,338 -> 00: 45: 42,305
¿Entonces por qué?
315
00: 45: 43,040 -> 00: 45: 44,302
Mírame.
316
00: 45: 44,742 -> 00: 45: 46,710
Soy uno de ellos y tengo que
compartir su suerte.
317
00: 45: 51,749 -> 00: 45: 53,512
¡Recogiendo cadáveres!
318
00: 45: 54,752 -> 00: 45: 56,219
Increíble.
319
00: 46: 03,460 -> 00: 46: 05,195
¿Por qué te engañas a ti mismo?
320
00: 46: 05,195 -> 00: 46: 07,459
Nadie está condenado al infierno
durante su vida.
321
00: 46: 07,698 -> 00: 46: 09,199
Nadie debería volver allí.
322
00: 46: 09,199 -> 00: 46: 11,602
De hecho, ¡nadie debería haber ido
en primer lugar!
323
00: 46: 11,602 -> 00: 46: 13,103
¡Nadie fue allí voluntariamente!
324
00: 46: 13,103 -> 00: 46: 14,705
¡No teníamos otra opción!
325
00: 46: 14,705 -> 00: 46: 16,673
Pero ahora la tienes.
326
00: 46: 17,708 -> 00: 46: 19,309
Si te hubieras escapado de Auschwitz...
327
00: 46: 19,309 -> 00: 46: 21,368
...¿pensarías en volver?
328
00: 46: 21,712 -> 00: 46: 23,577
Hay miles de personas
viviendo del otro lado de esa pared.
329
00: 46: 23,714 -> 00: 46: 25,579
¡No tengo derecho a salvarme yo solo!
330
00: 46: 26,717 -> 00: 46: 28,981
¡Todos ellos están condenados, y tengo que
estar allí con ellos hasta el final!
331
00: 46: 29,720 -> 00: 46: 31,622
¡Esa es una idea errónea de la solidaridad!
332
00: 46: 31,622 -> 00: 46: 35,683
¡No hay nada en la tierra
que valga una vida humana!
333
00: 46: 35,826 -> 00: 46: 38,294
¡Incorrecto! ¡Los judíos no piensan así!
334
00: 46: 39,329 -> 00: 46: 41,593
"Judíos, judíos, judíos..."
335
00: 46: 45,235 -> 00: 46: 46,896
Yo también soy judío.
336
00: 46: 58,749 -> 00: 47: 00,910
Ni tú lo puedes ver.
337
00: 47: 37,721 -> 00: 47: 39,188
Adiós.
338
00: 47: 47,831 -> 00: 47: 50,133
¿Qué vas a hacer si
no puedes cruzar la pared?
339
00: 47: 50,133 -> 00: 47: 52,294
No te preocupes.
Ya se me ocurrirá algo.
340
00: 47: 53,136 -> 00: 47: 55,104
¿Tienes a alguien de este lado?
341
00: 47: 56,740 -> 00: 47: 57,900
Sí.
342
00: 47: 58,041 -> 00: 48: 01,408
Tienes que tener cuidado.
¿Está lejos?
343
00: 48: 02,045 -> 00: 48: 03,747
La tercera casa desde la plaza Zbawiciel...
344
00: 48: 03,747 -> 00: 48: 05,112
...en la Calle Mokotowska.
345
00: 48: 05,682 -> 00: 48: 06,683
¿Quién vive ahí?
346
00: 48: 06,683 -> 00: 48: 07,945
Un cajero de banco.
347
00: 48: 08,085 -> 00: 48: 11,748
Estuvimos en la cárcel antes de la guerra.
348
00: 48: 50,727 -> 00: 48: 51,785
Discúlpame.
349
00: 48: 58,835 -> 00: 49: 00,737
Deberías irte.
350
00: 49: 00,737 -> 00: 49: 02,500
¿Por qué lloras?
351
00: 49: 05,042 -> 00: 49: 08,944
No lo soporto más.
Esta casa, esa gente.
352
00: 49: 10,981 -> 00: 49: 15,543
Vienen casi todos los días.
353
00: 49: 16,286 -> 00: 49: 18,846
Los invito porque
tengo miedo de estar solo.
354
00: 49: 19,189 -> 00: 49: 24,957
"No saben, ni deberían,
pero un día lo van a descubrir."
355
00: 49: 25,395 -> 00: 49: 28,558
Miro sus caras todos los días
y me pregunto si ese día ha llegado.
356
00: 49: 28,899 -> 00: 49: 30,662
Y espero su juicio.
357
00: 49: 32,002 -> 00: 49: 34,004
Sabes lo que se siente
escaparse del gueto...
358
00: 49: 34,004 -> 00: 49: 37,064
...pero lo hago todos los días.
359
00: 49: 39,710 -> 00: 49: 45,671
Tengo miedo.
Por favor, no te vayas.
360
00: 49: 49,720 -> 00: 49: 51,483
Yo no tengo que tenerte miedo.
361
00: 49: 58,228 -> 00: 50: 00,389
¿Marcan a todos así?
362
00: 50: 01,231 -> 00: 50: 03,233
Sólo los que tienen trabajo.
363
00: 50: 03,233 -> 00: 50: 05,098
A veces tienen que salir
del gueto con custodia.
364
00: 50: 08,138 -> 00: 50: 09,605
Si alguien trata de escapar...
365
00: 50: 09,740 -> 00: 50: 11,708
...es más fácil dispararles por la espalda.
366
00: 50: 21,251 -> 00: 50: 22,411
¿Qué hora es?
367
00: 50: 23,754 -> 00: 50: 25,756
No sé. No importa.
368
00: 50: 25,756 -> 00: 50: 29,760
Ahora vamos a tener mucho
tiempo para estar juntos.
369
00: 50: 29,760 -> 00: 50: 31,261
Eso no depende de nosotros.
370
00: 50: 31,261 -> 00: 50: 32,523
Lo es.
371
00: 50: 34,264 -> 00: 50: 36,166
"El momento en que te vi, me di cuenta de que..."
372
00: 50: 36,166 -> 00: 50: 38,225
...algo importante había sucedido.
373
00: 50: 39,269 -> 00: 50: 40,270
Nadie tiene tanta suerte como yo.
374
00: 50: 40,270 -> 00: 50: 42,238
Me apareciste de la nada.
375
00: 50: 43,273 -> 00: 50: 45,241
No puedo perderte.
376
00: 50: 45,776 -> 00: 50: 47,243
Me siento muy bien contigo...
377
00: 50: 47,778 -> 00: 50: 50,042
...y esa es la parte más difícil para mí.
378
00: 50: 51,081 -> 00: 50: 52,139
Cuando me vaya...
379
00: 50: 52,282 -> 00: 50: 53,884
Eso no va a suceder.
380
00: 50: 53,884 -> 00: 50: 55,943
Estarás a salvo conmigo.
381
00: 50: 56,787 -> 00: 50: 58,755
Ya verás lo que haré.
382
00: 50: 59,089 -> 00: 51: 01,291
Las personas que estaban aquí
ya me vieron...
383
00: 51: 01,291 -> 00: 51: 03,657
...y esa es suficiente razón
para que me vaya.
384
00: 51: 03,794 -> 00: 51: 05,228
Son gente honesta.
385
00: 51: 05,228 -> 00: 51: 07,992
Las personas honestas comentan entre si
los asuntos de los demás.
386
00: 51: 08,732 -> 00: 51: 11,098
Ya es difícil para mí irme hoy.
387
00: 51: 11,735 -> 00: 51: 13,999
Mañana será más difícil que hoy.
388
00: 51: 14,237 -> 00: 51: 16,740
Empezarás a odiarme.
¿Lo ves?
389
00: 51: 16,740 -> 00: 51: 18,401
"No, no lo veo."
390
00: 51: 18,742 -> 00: 51: 20,607
Pertenezco ahí abajo.
391
00: 51: 20,744 -> 00: 51: 23,008
Si sólo hubieras estado allí,
aunque sea una vez.
392
00: 51: 23,947 -> 00: 51: 26,108
No sólo una pared nos divide.
393
00: 51: 26,249 -> 00: 51: 28,717
Eso no es cierto.
Ni siquiera tú lo crees.
394
00: 51: 28,952 -> 00: 51: 33,013
"Nada nos divide, y te amo."
395
00: 51: 33,857 -> 00: 51: 38,419
No me puedes amar.
Tengo que volver.
396
00: 51: 39,763 -> 00: 51: 43,130
Nunca vas a volver allí.
Tienes miedo.
397
00: 51: 43,266 -> 00: 51: 47,930
No sé si lo sabes,
pero ayer cuando te querías ir...
398
00: 51: 48,071 -> 00: 51: 50,733
...lo vi en tus ojos.
399
00: 53: 35,545 -> 00: 53: 36,746
¿Qué haces?
400
00: 53: 36,746 -> 00: 53: 37,948
¿Cómo te gusta?
401
00: 53: 37,948 -> 00: 53: 39,210
¿De qué se trata esto?
402
00: 53: 39,316 -> 00: 53: 42,052
Tu ángel de la guarda
tiene que tener pelo brillante.
403
00: 53: 42,052 -> 00: 53: 43,110
¿Qué hay de las maletas?
404
00: 53: 44,054 -> 00: 53: 45,612
Nos vamos.
405
00: 53: 45,855 -> 00: 53: 47,157
¿Dónde?
406
00: 53: 47,157 -> 00: 53: 48,317
Al campo.
407
00: 53: 49,759 -> 00: 53: 51,727
"No hagas preguntas, va a ser maravilloso."
408
00: 53: 55,165 -> 00: 53: 58,726
¿Por qué estás parado así? Eres divertido.
409
00: 54: 03,273 -> 00: 54: 04,774
Di algo...
410
00: 54: 04,774 -> 00: 54: 06,071
No vamos a ninguna parte.
411
00: 54: 06,810 -> 00: 54: 08,311
Así que no me conoces todavía.
412
00: 54: 08,311 -> 00: 54: 12,215
Siempre he hecho cosas imposibles.
Cosas en las que nadie creía.
413
00: 54: 12,215 -> 00: 54: 13,917
Por eso siempre he ganado.
414
00: 54: 13,917 -> 00: 54: 15,819
"Vamos a estar juntos, ¿no lo ves?"
415
00: 54: 15,819 -> 00: 54: 17,878
Sólo podemos estar juntos allí.
416
00: 54: 18,722 -> 00: 54: 21,384
Estar juntos mata judíos de este lado.
Estar solo es la única forma de sobrevivir.
417
00: 54: 24,728 -> 00: 54: 26,730
No deberíamos hablar de esto.
418
00: 54: 26,730 -> 00: 54: 28,095
Será mejor para los dos.
419
00: 54: 28,431 -> 00: 54: 29,591
No puedo.
420
00: 54: 29,733 -> 00: 54: 31,234
"Sí, puedes."
421
00: 54: 31,234 -> 00: 54: 32,736
Si alguna vez quieres recuperar tu vida...
422
00: 54: 32,736 -> 00: 54: 34,437
...tienes que olvidarte de eso.
423
00: 54: 34,437 -> 00: 54: 36,539
No me alejé del gueto...
424
00: 54: 36,539 -> 00: 54: 39,142
...con la intención de volver después
para estar contigo.
425
00: 54: 39,142 -> 00: 54: 40,507
Yo no voy a ir.
426
00: 54: 42,746 -> 00: 54: 44,213
Claro.
427
00: 54: 46,149 -> 00: 54: 48,208
A partir de hoy,
tu destino está en mis manos.
428
00: 54: 49,252 -> 00: 54: 51,117
¿No ves que quiero salvarte?
429
00: 54: 52,756 -> 00: 54: 53,757
¿De qué?
430
00: 54: 53,757 -> 00: 54: 57,215
"De los alemanes, de los judíos,
de ti mismo, de la guerra!"
431
00: 54: 58,261 -> 00: 55: 00,923
No creas que esto es un sacrificio.
Sólo te quiero para mí.
432
00: 55: 01,765 -> 00: 55: 02,966
Tengo que ir al pueblo.
433
00: 55: 02,966 -> 00: 55: 05,457
Vuelvo a la noche.
434
00: 55: 06,703 -> 00: 55: 08,261
No le abras la puerta a nadie.
435
00: 56: 49,038 -> 00: 56: 50,039
¿Adónde quieres ir?
436
00: 56: 50,039 -> 00: 56: 51,006
Al gueto.
437
00: 56: 51,741 -> 00: 56: 53,800
No por aquí.
Te llevaremos.
438
00: 57: 07,690 -> 00: 57: 09,893
Pasa esa puerta
y encontrarás tu camino.
439
00: 57: 09,893 -> 00: 57: 11,494
No vamos a ir más lejos.
440
00: 57: 11,494 -> 00: 57: 12,461
Gracias.
441
00: 57: 15,698 -> 00: 57: 16,665
Silencio.
442
00: 57: 17,700 -> 00: 57: 18,962
No llores.
443
00: 57: 23,206 -> 00: 57: 24,607
¿Qué quieres?
444
00: 57: 24,607 -> 00: 57: 26,209
Estoy buscando una forma de cruzar.
Puedes ver quién soy.
445
00: 57: 26,209 -> 00: 57: 27,176
Agarra al niño.
446
00: 57: 29,212 -> 00: 57: 30,679
Te voy a dar mi campera.
447
00: 57: 32,115 -> 00: 57: 34,675
Muchas personas han cruzado esa pared.
Nunca nadie ha querido volver.
448
00: 57: 36,219 -> 00: 57: 38,021
Nos repetían
que sólo sobrevivirían...
449
00: 57: 38,021 -> 00: 57: 39,488
...los que sean tratados con misericordia.
450
00: 57: 40,023 -> 00: 57: 43,481
"¿Qué piensas,
que han muerto todos?"
451
00: 57: 44,727 -> 00: 57: 47,594
Si alguien llegara a salvarse
será alguien que no quiere volver nunca.
452
00: 57: 49,232 -> 00: 57: 50,494
No tengo a nadie.
453
00: 57: 51,134 -> 00: 57: 52,735
Siempre se tiene a alguien
en algún lugar del mundo...
454
00: 57: 52,735 -> 00: 57: 54,600
...sólo que no siempre uno lo sabe.
455
00: 57: 56,239 -> 00: 57: 59,800
A veces, algunos se cruzan
en el camino o no coordinas bien los tiempos.
456
00: 58: 03,746 -> 00: 58: 05,111
Eso es verdad.
457
00: 58: 57,233 -> 00: 58: 58,234
Déjame salir.
458
00: 58: 58,234 -> 00: 58: 59,736
No puedo.
Es el toque de queda.
459
00: 58: 59,736 -> 00: 59: 01,538
¿Qué te importa?
No es lejos de aquí.
460
00: 59: 01,538 -> 00: 59: 04,098
- La Calle Mokotowska.
- ¡Cuidado, los alemanes!
461
00: 59: 26,896 -> 00: 59: 28,557
¿El Sr. Malina vive aquí?
462
00: 59: 29,198 -> 00: 59: 31,666
"Sí, fue al sótano."
463
00: 59: 37,707 -> 00: 59: 38,708
Sr. Malina.
464
00: 59: 38,708 -> 00: 59: 39,970
¿Quién es?
465
00: 59: 40,410 -> 00: 59: 42,378
"Alguien vino a verte, tío."
466
00: 59: 42,712 -> 00: 59: 46,671
"¡Eres tú! Adelante."
1
00: 00: 02,235 -> 00: 00: 03,202
El nombre del perro es Athos.
2
00: 00: 05,238 -> 00: 00: 08,207
Mi hijo lo trajo de Suiza...
3
00: 00: 09,242 -> 00: 00: 12,211
...justo antes de la guerra.
Siéntate.
4
00: 00: 13,246 -> 00: 00: 16,215
Quitate la campera.
Hace calor aquí.
5
00: 00: 19,252 -> 00: 00: 20,219
¡Kasia!
6
00: 00: 24,257 -> 00: 00: 27,226
Ella es mi sobrina.
Agarra su campera.
7
00: 00: 30,263 -> 00: 00: 32,231
Ahora nosotros dos vivimos aquí juntos.
8
00: 00: 34,267 -> 00: 00: 37,236
¿Ves cómo se dan las cosas
en la vida?
9
00: 00: 38,271 -> 00: 00: 43,276
Nos prometimos a nosotros mismos que
volveríamos a vernos siendo libres.
10
00: 00: 43,276 -> 00: 00: 48,236
"Y ahora estás sentado en mi cocina,
y los dos somos libres."
11
00: 00: 53,219 -> 00: 00: 58,179
Pero mis mejores días
se esfumaron en esa celda de prisión.
12
00: 00: 59,225 -> 00: 01: 01,193
Paz total.
13
00: 01: 02,228 -> 00: 01: 06,187
Tejer canastas fue lo único que me gustó.
14
00: 01: 16,242 -> 00: 01: 19,245
No le preguntes nada
acerca de su hijo.
15
00: 01: 19,245 -> 00: 01: 20,212
Te lo explicaré todo más tarde.
16
00: 01: 25,251 -> 00: 01: 29,255
Mataron a mi hijo.
Murió en un campo de concentración.
17
00: 01: 29,255 -> 00: 01: 34,260
"¿Qué piensas?
¿Debería haber robado el dinero..."
18
00: 01: 34,260 -> 00: 01: 38,219
...para que viviera un poco más...
19
00: 01: 39,265 -> 00: 01: 42,268
...teniendo en cuenta lo horrible
que terminó siendo su muerte?
20
00: 01: 42,268 -> 00: 01: 43,269
Es una gran desgracia.
21
00: 01: 43,269 -> 00: 01: 46,272
"Sí, desgracia."
22
00: 01: 46,272 -> 00: 01: 49,275
Siento no haber preguntado
sobre tus problemas.
23
00: 01: 49,275 -> 00: 01: 51,243
Mis problemas son problemas de judíos.
24
00: 01: 53,213 -> 00: 01: 55,181
Me alegro de que hayas venido.
25
00: 01: 56,216 -> 00: 01: 59,219
¿Me puedes aconsejar qué hacer?
No tengo a dónde ir.
26
00: 01: 59,219 -> 00: 02: 02,188
Quédate aquí.
Ya es el toque de queda.
27
00: 02: 03,223 -> 00: 02: 07,182
Has llegado justo a tiempo
para la cena de Nochebuena.
28
00: 02: 09,229 -> 00: 02: 11,197
Puedes quedarte el tiempo que quieras...
29
00: 02: 13,233 -> 00: 02: 15,201
...o el tiempo que puedas.
30
00: 05: 37,236 -> 00: 05: 40,205
El tío me lo prohíbe
cuando él no está.
31
00: 05: 44,243 -> 00: 05: 45,210
Abre.
32
00: 05: 47,246 -> 00: 05: 49,214
¿Estás esperando a alguien?
33
00: 05: 51,250 -> 00: 05: 52,148
¡Abre!
34
00: 06: 10,203 -> 00: 06: 11,204
Buenos días.
35
00: 06: 11,204 -> 00: 06: 12,205
"Este es el departamento
de la Sra. Jabłonowska, ¿no es así?"
36
00: 06: 12,205 -> 00: 06: 13,206
No.
37
00: 06: 13,206 -> 00: 06: 14,207
¿Sabes cuál es?
38
00: 06: 14,207 -> 00: 06: 16,175
"No, no estoy seguro."
39
00: 06: 17,210 -> 00: 06: 23,216
Así que nadie me puede decir.
40
00: 06: 23,216 -> 00: 06: 26,219
Es la costurera.
Tengo que encontrarla.
41
00: 06: 26,219 -> 00: 06: 28,221
"No, no sé dónde."
42
00: 06: 28,221 -> 00: 06: 31,224
"Qué pena. Discúlpame."
43
00: 06: 31,224 -> 00: 06: 32,191
Adiós.
44
00: 06: 37,230 -> 00: 06: 39,198
¿Esa era la mujer
que estabas esperando?
45
00: 06: 51,244 -> 00: 06: 54,145
"Entra, perrito,
estamos en casa."
46
00: 06: 55,181 -> 00: 06: 56,182
¿Qué pasa?
47
00: 06: 56,182 -> 00: 06: 58,150
Me vio.
Tengo que irme.
48
00: 06: 59,185 -> 00: 07: 01,187
Espera.
¿Quién te vio?
49
00: 07: 01,187 -> 00: 07: 03,189
No sé. Me tengo que ir.
50
00: 07: 03,189 -> 00: 07: 05,157
Se acaba de ir.
51
00: 07: 06,192 -> 00: 07: 08,160
¿Y qué si ella te vio?
52
00: 07: 09,195 -> 00: 07: 11,197
"Ella te vio, y eso es todo."
53
00: 07: 11,197 -> 00: 07: 13,199
No nos preocupemos de antemano.
54
00: 07: 13,199 -> 00: 07: 16,202
"La gente no es del todo mala,
ni del todo buena."
55
00: 07: 16,202 -> 00: 07: 19,171
Y ella podría ser mucho mejor persona
de lo que pensamos.
56
00: 07: 20,206 -> 00: 07: 22,208
Tú no vas a ninguna parte.
57
00: 07: 22,208 -> 00: 07: 24,176
Te encontrarás con los mismos
problemas donde quiera que vayas.
58
00: 07: 25,211 -> 00: 07: 26,212
Me preocupas.
59
00: 07: 26,212 -> 00: 07: 29,215
Todo es mi culpa!
¡Mi culpa!
60
00: 07: 29,215 -> 00: 07: 32,218
¡Kasia! ¡No te exaltes!
Cálmate.
61
00: 07: 32,218 -> 00: 07: 34,186
Pensemos por un momento...
62
00: 07: 37,223 -> 00: 07: 40,226
"Está bien, te esconderás en el sótano
un par de días."
63
00: 07: 40,226 -> 00: 07: 41,193
"Kasia, dame las llaves."
64
00: 07: 42,228 -> 00: 07: 44,230
"¡Vamos, las llaves y una vela!"
65
00: 07: 44,230 -> 00: 07: 48,234
"Ya verás, volverás arriba
en un par de días."
66
00: 07: 48,234 -> 00: 07: 50,202
"Deja de llorar, Kasia."
67
00: 07: 55,174 -> 00: 07: 56,141
Vamos.
68
00: 09: 36,208 -> 00: 09: 37,209
- ¿Cuándo volverá?
- No lo sé.
69
00: 09: 37,209 -> 00: 09: 39,177
- Tal vez puedas ayudarme.
- ¿Con qué?
70
00: 09: 40,212 -> 00: 09: 43,215
Nada.
Prefiero esperar.
71
00: 09: 43,215 -> 00: 09: 45,183
El tío no volverá hoy.
72
00: 09: 47,219 -> 00: 09: 49,187
¿Buscas a alguien?
73
00: 09: 50,222 -> 00: 09: 51,223
¿Dónde está?
74
00: 09: 51,223 -> 00: 09: 52,224
¿Tío?
75
00: 09: 52,224 -> 00: 09: 55,193
"No, no confías en mí.
Sé que está aquí."
76
00: 09: 56,228 -> 00: 09: 58,196
No tengo idea de quién
estás hablando.
77
00: 10: 00,232 -> 00: 10: 03,235
"Me tienes miedo.
Te ruego que confíes en mí."
78
00: 10: 03,235 -> 00: 10: 08,240
"Ayer, un joven vino a verte.
Era casi un niño."
79
00: 10: 08,240 -> 00: 10: 11,243
Estuvo en la cárcel con tu tío
antes de la guerra.
80
00: 10: 11,243 -> 00: 10: 13,211
Tiene pelo oscuro y...
81
00: 10: 16,248 -> 00: 10: 18,250
...uno de ellos era muy joven.
82
00: 10: 18,250 -> 00: 10: 19,251
¿Qué le pasó?
83
00: 10: 19,251 -> 00: 10: 21,253
Se fue de inmediato.
84
00: 10: 21,253 -> 00: 10: 22,220
¿Lo viste?
85
00: 10: 23,255 -> 00: 10: 29,216
Sí. Estatura media.
Esbelto. Ojos oscuros.
86
00: 10: 30,262 -> 00: 10: 31,263
¿Un judío?
87
00: 10: 31,263 -> 00: 10: 36,223
"¿Un judío? No, señora."
88
00: 10: 38,270 -> 00: 10: 42,229
"Después de todo, no debería
dejar entrar judíos a su casa."
89
00: 10: 43,275 -> 00: 10: 47,234
¿Por qué no me crees?
¿Cómo pudo haber llegado aquí?
90
00: 10: 48,280 -> 00: 10: 51,249
¿No me crees?
¡Echa un vistazo!
91
00: 10: 56,222 -> 00: 10: 58,190
"Se fue, ayer."
92
00: 11: 00,226 -> 00: 11: 01,193
- ¿Solo?
- Solo.
93
00: 11: 04,230 -> 00: 11: 06,198
¿Y lo dejaste ir?
94
00: 11: 09,235 -> 00: 11: 13,194
La prisión de la Gestapo es el único
lugar donde podría estar.
95
00: 11: 25,251 -> 00: 11: 28,220
¿No lo esperarás a mi tío?
96
00: 12: 04,223 -> 00: 12: 10,184
Las tablas se pueden mover.
Puedes moverlas después.
97
00: 12: 15,234 -> 00: 12: 16,235
Pasaré mañana.
98
00: 12: 16,235 -> 00: 12: 17,202
Gracias.
99
00: 12: 19,238 -> 00: 12: 21,206
Adiós.
100
00: 12: 40,259 -> 00: 12: 42,227
Soy un judío.
101
00: 12: 45,264 -> 00: 12: 46,231
¿Perdón?
102
00: 12: 47,266 -> 00: 12: 50,235
Soy un judío.
103
00: 13: 11,223 -> 00: 13: 13,191
¡Mocosos!
¡Fuera de aquí!
104
00: 13: 16,228 -> 00: 13: 17,195
¿Y entonces?
105
00: 13: 18,230 -> 00: 13: 19,231
No está ahí.
106
00: 13: 19,231 -> 00: 13: 21,233
Busqué por todo el departamento.
No hay señales del judío.
107
00: 13: 21,233 -> 00: 13: 22,234
Te engañaron.
108
00: 13: 22,234 -> 00: 13: 24,236
"Busqué debajo de la cama,
y en la cama."
109
00: 13: 24,236 -> 00: 13: 26,238
La cama...
¡La cama es tu especialidad!
110
00: 13: 26,238 -> 00: 13: 27,239
¡Busqué en el armario!
111
00: 13: 27,239 -> 00: 13: 30,242
¡Nadie esconde judíos gratis!
¡Podrías hacerlo a cambio de dinero!
112
00: 13: 30,242 -> 00: 13: 34,246
"Niños, ¿cuál es el sótano del Sr. Malina?"
113
00: 13: 34,246 -> 00: 13: 35,247
Ese.
114
00: 13: 35,247 -> 00: 13: 37,215
Ese es. Vamos.
115
00: 13: 39,251 -> 00: 13: 41,310
- Mira ahí.
- No, no está aquí.
116
00: 13: 41,453 -> 00: 13: 43,656
¿Hola?
¿Hay alguien ahí?
117
00: 13: 43,656 -> 00: 13: 45,257
Está demasiado oscuro para ver.
118
00: 13: 45,257 -> 00: 13: 46,258
No hay nadie allí.
Vamos.
119
00: 13: 46,258 -> 00: 13: 49,261
Eres un idiota.
Volveremos pronto.
120
00: 13: 49,261 -> 00: 13: 51,923
No puedes rendirte.
Tiene que estar en alguna parte.
121
00: 13: 56,202 -> 00: 13: 58,762
"Señora, ese no es el sótano.
¡Es ese de ahí!"
122
00: 15: 01,901 -> 00: 15: 03,266
¿Estuvieron aquí de nuevo?
123
00: 15: 03,702 -> 00: 15: 07,907
"¿De quién estás hablando?
¡El chantajista!"
124
00: 15: 07,907 -> 00: 15: 10,774
"Sí, estuvo aquí.
Pero no va a volver."
125
00: 15: 11,210 -> 00: 15: 12,677
Lo eché.
126
00: 15: 19,018 -> 00: 15: 21,179
Me tropecé en la escalera.
127
00: 15: 22,621 -> 00: 15: 26,785
"Sr. Malina, yo no debería seguir aquí."
128
00: 15: 27,826 -> 00: 15: 30,886
No puedo...
129
00: 15: 31,430 -> 00: 15: 34,797
Cálmate.
¿Qué pasa?
130
00: 15: 35,935 -> 00: 15: 37,236
Por favor, déjame irme.
131
00: 15: 37,236 -> 00: 15: 38,203
¿A dónde?
132
00: 15: 39,238 -> 00: 15: 40,899
No puedo seguir viviendo en un sótano.
133
00: 15: 41,440 -> 00: 15: 43,242
"Además, sólo te pongo en peligro."
134
00: 15: 43,242 -> 00: 15: 45,301
Debería volver al gueto.
135
00: 15: 46,045 -> 00: 15: 48,104
Debería quedarme allí...
136
00: 15: 48,948 -> 00: 15: 50,006
...con ellos...
137
00: 15: 50,749 -> 00: 15: 52,114
...hasta el final.
138
00: 15: 55,888 -> 00: 15: 59,051
¿No lo entiendes?
¡Soy uno de ellos!
139
00: 16: 01,894 -> 00: 16: 05,853
Escúchame.
¡Tienes que quedarte aquí!
140
00: 16: 08,200 -> 00: 16: 12,660
¡No voy a dejar que un hijo de puta
decida si debes morir!
141
00: 16: 13,205 -> 00: 16: 15,173
No hablemos más de esto.
142
00: 16: 16,608 -> 00: 16: 17,973
He pensado sobre esto.
143
00: 16: 18,811 -> 00: 16: 21,279
Deberías echarme.
144
00: 16: 23,816 -> 00: 16: 28,981
"Sé que a veces salvar nuestra vida
tiene un precio demasiado alto.
145
00: 16: 30,522 -> 00: 16: 32,786
¿De qué precio estás hablando?
146
00: 16: 33,425 -> 00: 16: 38,230
"¡La guerra va a terminar, y nos darán la razón!
147
00: 16: 38,230 -> 00: 16: 40,198
¡Deja la puerta abierta!
148
00: 16: 40,332 -> 00: 16: 42,300
¿Quieres irte?
¡Entonces vete! ¡Vete!
149
00: 16: 44,436 -> 00: 16: 47,239
Te van a atrapar.
150
00: 16: 47,239 -> 00: 16: 51,198
¿Qué pasará conmigo y con Kasia?
151
00: 17: 14,199 -> 00: 17: 18,363
Estaba muy feliz
cuando viniste a nosotros.
152
00: 17: 19,204 -> 00: 17: 21,365
"Yo no salgo a ningun lugar."
153
00: 17: 21,707 -> 00: 17: 24,175
El tío ni siquiera me quiere
dejar venir aquí abajo.
154
00: 17: 26,612 -> 00: 17: 28,477
Me robé las llaves.
155
00: 17: 30,215 -> 00: 17: 31,917
"No pasa nada en el patio tampoco."
156
00: 17: 31,917 -> 00: 17: 35,978
"Una vez, vino una mujer que comía fuego
y un grupo de acróbatas."
157
00: 17: 36,722 -> 00: 17: 38,280
Fue muy agradable.
158
00: 17: 39,525 -> 00: 17: 41,493
"Pronto, volverás arriba."
159
00: 17: 42,227 -> 00: 17: 44,388
Nadie preguntará por ti.
160
00: 17: 46,331 -> 00: 17: 48,196
¿No estás enojado conmigo?
161
00: 17: 49,234 -> 00: 17: 51,498
¿Enojado contigo?
¿Por qué habría de estarlo?
162
00: 17: 57,476 -> 00: 17: 59,137
¿Sabes qué?
163
00: 17: 59,678 -> 00: 18: 01,339
Me gustaría caminar por las calles...
164
00: 18: 03,682 -> 00: 18: 05,946
...sin que nadie se pare para mirarme...
165
00: 18: 07,186 -> 00: 18: 09,347
...sin que nadie me mire de reojo...
166
00: 18: 11,590 -> 00: 18: 13,455
...solo quiero
caminar por la calle.
167
00: 18: 14,193 -> 00: 18: 15,160
¿A dónde?
168
00: 18: 15,794 -> 00: 18: 16,761
No lo sé.
169
00: 18: 21,500 -> 00: 18: 22,865
No importa.
170
00: 18: 24,203 -> 00: 18: 27,172
Me gustaría que siempre
me dijeras la verdad.
171
00: 18: 29,208 -> 00: 18: 30,971
Eres infantil.
172
00: 18: 31,610 -> 00: 18: 33,475
¿Eso crees?
173
00: 18: 35,314 -> 00: 18: 37,578
Tengo que limpiar este lugar.
174
00: 18: 38,717 -> 00: 18: 42,084
No hace falta.
Nada va a cambiar.
175
00: 18: 44,523 -> 00: 18: 47,726
Ya que me he hecho cargo
de tu destino...
176
00: 18: 47,726 -> 00: 18: 49,387
...ahora tengo obligaciones contigo.
177
00: 18: 50,429 -> 00: 18: 51,896
¿Tú también?
178
00: 18: 55,667 -> 00: 18: 57,328
Qué extraño.
179
00: 18: 58,570 -> 00: 19: 00,538
Todos están a cargo
de mi destino.
180
00: 19: 04,476 -> 00: 19: 05,738
Todos...
181
00: 19: 08,280 -> 00: 19: 09,645
...excepto yo.
182
00: 19: 46,919 -> 00: 19: 49,285
No lo hagas.
Para.
183
00: 19: 53,225 -> 00: 19: 54,783
No tiene sentido.
184
00: 19: 57,029 -> 00: 20: 00,897
Te dejo una vela.
Puedes leer de noche.
185
00: 20: 01,233 -> 00: 20: 03,895
Sólo asegúrate de tapar
la ventana primero.
186
00: 20: 04,036 -> 00: 20: 07,096
¿Para qué?
No quiero leer.
187
00: 20: 08,640 -> 00: 20: 10,699
Has estado solo durante demasiado tiempo.
188
00: 20: 12,644 -> 00: 20: 16,512
Esta es la única manera.
Ahora me doy cuenta.
189
00: 20: 18,850 -> 00: 20: 20,613
He pensado mucho en ello.
190
00: 20: 22,854 -> 00: 20: 26,620
"Escucha, te llevaré de vuelta
arriba dentro de muy poco."
191
00: 20: 27,259 -> 00: 20: 31,218
No.
192
00: 20: 34,766 -> 00: 20: 36,631
No me vas a sacar de acá.
193
00: 20: 40,072 -> 00: 20: 42,040
Han vuelto a venir.
194
00: 20: 42,274 -> 00: 20: 43,536
¿Quienes? ¿Cuándo?
195
00: 20: 44,676 -> 00: 20: 46,143
Ayer.
196
00: 20: 48,880 -> 00: 20: 49,847
No me acuerdo.
197
00: 20: 52,818 -> 00: 20: 54,419
Estoy perdiendo la noción del tiempo.
198
00: 20: 54,419 -> 00: 20: 55,784
Ya es primavera.
199
00: 20: 58,223 -> 00: 20: 59,588
Es cierto...
200
00: 21: 01,226 -> 00: 21: 02,887
...los gatos se persiguen por la noche...
201
00: 21: 05,230 -> 00: 21: 07,198
...maullando.
202
00: 21: 08,634 -> 00: 21: 09,896
Déjame ir.
203
00: 21: 10,235 -> 00: 21: 13,796
No. He leido noticias de la guerra
.
204
00: 21: 14,239 -> 00: 21: 15,706
¡Buenas noticias!
205
00: 21: 18,043 -> 00: 21: 20,204
"Sabes, tengo estos sueños..."
206
00: 21: 22,247 -> 00: 21: 24,408
Nadie quiere
nada de mí.
207
00: 21: 25,250 -> 00: 21: 29,209
Nada. Es casi
difícil de creer.
208
00: 21: 30,756 -> 00: 21: 33,224
Nunca me he sentido tan bien.
209
00: 21: 36,762 -> 00: 21: 39,731
"Ni en la cárcel,
ni en el gueto."
210
00: 21: 46,271 -> 00: 21: 49,035
No hace falta que le sigas
poniendo llave a la puerta.
211
00: 21: 50,075 -> 00: 21: 51,838
Igual no me iré...
212
00: 21: 54,613 -> 00: 21: 56,774
...ni siquiera
cuando termine la guerra...
213
00: 22: 00,218 -> 00: 22: 02,778
...¡ni siquiera cuando
termine la guerra!
214
00: 22: 15,734 -> 00: 22: 18,202
Todo llevaban flores...
215
00: 22: 19,237 -> 00: 22: 21,398
...porque se llama
la Fiesta de la Rosa.
216
00: 22: 23,241 -> 00: 22: 25,709
Mi madre llevaba largos aros...
217
00: 22: 26,545 -> 00: 22: 28,604
...y un broche de oro.
218
00: 22: 29,648 -> 00: 22: 34,312
¿Y?
Cuéntame más.
219
00: 22: 37,756 -> 00: 22: 39,314
Había velas
en la mesa.
220
00: 22: 39,558 -> 00: 22: 44,222
Cuando mi padre regresó
nos sentamos alrededor de la mesa.
221
00: 22: 46,465 -> 00: 22: 48,524
Fuimos todos muy buenos
el uno con el otro.
222
00: 22: 51,970 -> 00: 22: 57,875
Mi madre repetía,
"Leben und leben lassen."
223
00: 22: 59,311 -> 00: 23: 01,176
¿Qué significa eso?
224
00: 23: 02,214 -> 00: 23: 07,379
No matar.
"Vivir y dejar vivir."
225
00: 23: 10,522 -> 00: 23: 12,990
El profeta judío dijo eso.
226
00: 23: 13,225 -> 00: 23: 17,184
"El poeta era judío,
pero escribía en alemán."
227
00: 23: 25,737 -> 00: 23: 27,796
Dímelo otra vez.
228
00: 23: 30,242 -> 00: 23: 31,106
No he pensado
en ello antes.
229
00: 23: 33,545 -> 00: 23: 36,105
Sólo desde que empezaron a llegar.
230
00: 23: 39,751 -> 00: 23: 43,619
¿Ellos vienen a ti?
¿Los ves?
231
00: 23: 44,256 -> 00: 23: 45,223
Sí.
232
00: 23: 47,459 -> 00: 23: 48,721
Todos ellos.
233
00: 23: 53,398 -> 00: 23: 55,866
Debe ser hermoso.
234
00: 23: 58,203 -> 00: 24: 02,970
Yo supe desde el momento
en que viniste que eras diferente.
235
00: 24: 05,210 -> 00: 24: 07,178
¿Vienen a menudo?
236
00: 24: 08,213 -> 00: 24: 10,374
Cuando estoy solo.
237
00: 24: 11,716 -> 00: 24: 13,479
¿Hablas con ellos?
238
00: 24: 17,222 -> 00: 24: 19,190
"¿Ya está verde afuera?"
239
00: 24: 21,226 -> 00: 24: 23,990
"Ya es primavera,
¿no lo sientes?"
240
00: 24: 28,233 -> 00: 24: 30,497
También veo a alguien
en mis sueños todas las noches.
241
00: 24: 31,036 -> 00: 24: 32,298
¿Sabes quién es?
242
00: 24: 35,440 -> 00: 24: 39,308
Te veo muy claramente.
Estás hablando conmigo.
243
00: 24: 41,046 -> 00: 24: 43,014
Anoche me dijiste...
244
00: 24: 45,951 -> 00: 24: 48,511
"¿Puedo realmente creerlo?"
245
00: 24: 51,256 -> 00: 24: 55,659
¿No tienes curiosidad de saber
qué me pediste?
246
00: 25: 36,835 -> 00: 25: 38,996
Tuve que esperar hasta que se fuera.
247
00: 25: 42,741 -> 00: 25: 44,643
"No quería hablar cerca de ella, mamá."
248
00: 25: 44,643 -> 00: 25: 47,245
Nunca te enseñé a odiar.
249
00: 25: 47,245 -> 00: 25: 49,748
"Recuerda, nuestro sufrimiento
se remonta..."
250
00: 25: 49,748 -> 00: 25: 52,148
...a hace más de cinco mil años.
251
00: 25: 52,484 -> 00: 25: 55,186
Tienes que ser
fuerte como Sansón.
252
00: 25: 55,186 -> 00: 25: 56,346
¡Mamá!
253
00: 25: 58,490 -> 00: 26: 00,549
¿Acaso me quedan fuerzas?
254
00: 26: 03,194 -> 00: 26: 05,856
"Sansón, con sus propias manos,
despellejó a un leon."
255
00: 26: 06,398 -> 00: 26: 07,558
Dime...
256
00: 26: 12,804 -> 00: 26: 15,967
No tengo a nadie.
Estoy solo.
257
00: 26: 18,510 -> 00: 26: 20,569
¿Será este mi fuerza?
258
00: 26: 21,212 -> 00: 26: 25,417
El miedo es tu fuerza.
Quieres vivir. Entiendo.
259
00: 26: 25,417 -> 00: 26: 28,580
"Eres igual que yo,
aunque me detestes."
260
00: 26: 28,720 -> 00: 26: 31,222
"¡El miedo es tu debilidad,
porque tienes miedo a morir!"
261
00: 26: 31,222 -> 00: 26: 35,386
¡No! ¡No quiero a morir
sólo por mi cara!
262
00: 26: 38,229 -> 00: 26: 39,196
¡Vete!
263
00: 26: 45,737 -> 00: 26: 48,297
Eres uno de los
que recogí de la calle.
264
00: 26: 49,341 -> 00: 26: 51,400
Te encontré en la acera.
265
00: 26: 54,879 -> 00: 26: 57,040
Te he abandonado.
266
00: 26: 57,382 -> 00: 27: 00,749
"Ese es el precio de la vida,
y el precio de la muerte."
267
00: 27: 01,686 -> 00: 27: 03,153
¿Lo recuerdas?
268
00: 27: 04,990 -> 00: 27: 07,049
"Se lo llevaron, en cadenas..."
269
00: 27: 07,392 -> 00: 27: 09,257
...y lo encerraron
en una celda oscura...
270
00: 27: 10,395 -> 00: 27: 13,262
...y su cabello comenzó a crecer de nuevo...
271
00: 27: 13,498 -> 00: 27: 15,200
...y apeló al Señor y dijo...
272
00: 27: 15,200 -> 00: 27: 20,263
"Señor, recuérdeme,
y restaure mi antigua fuerza."
273
00: 27: 20,705 -> 00: 27: 22,366
Escucha...
274
00: 27: 25,210 -> 00: 27: 28,976
...¿ya me han cegado?
275
00: 29: 00,171 -> 00: 29: 01,536
"Con cuidado, con cuidado."
276
00: 29: 05,977 -> 00: 29: 09,242
Un camión alemán corría detrás
de un tranvía y lo golpearon en la cabeza.
277
00: 29: 09,380 -> 00: 29: 11,041
"Era un buen hombre,
pero tuvo una vida miserable."
278
00: 29: 15,186 -> 00: 29: 17,154
Murió sin un sacerdote.
279
00: 29: 33,505 -> 00: 29: 39,068
Duerme.
Todo está bien.
280
00: 30: 00,431 -> 00: 30: 01,398
¿Qué está pasando?
281
00: 30: 01,733 -> 00: 30: 04,936
¿No lo sabes?
¡El gueto se está quemando!
282
00: 30: 04,936 -> 00: 30: 07,097
Han estado disparando
desde la mañana.
283
00: 30: 30,862 -> 00: 30: 31,829
¿Qué está sucediendo?
284
00: 30: 44,275 -> 00: 30: 45,242
¿Dónde?
285
00: 30: 46,678 -> 00: 30: 48,043
Estas explosiones.
286
00: 30: 49,781 -> 00: 30: 51,942
"No, no son en la ciudad."
287
00: 30: 52,717 -> 00: 30: 54,878
"Mira, te traje un poco de torta."
288
00: 30: 55,720 -> 00: 30: 58,484
Yo tenía uno igual.
289
00: 31: 02,827 -> 00: 31: 05,591
¿No te gusta?
290
00: 31: 07,432 -> 00: 31: 09,491
Ese debe ser el frente que se aproxima.
291
00: 31: 09,734 -> 00: 31: 14,398
Debemos tener mucho cuidado ahora.
Voy a cubrir las ventanas.
292
00: 31: 35,360 -> 00: 31: 37,828
¿Por qué el Sr. Malina
ya no viene a verme?
293
00: 31: 39,464 -> 00: 31: 44,026
El tío se ha ido
por un par de días.
294
00: 32: 37,255 -> 00: 32: 39,621
Hoy te voy a llevar arriba.
295
00: 32: 40,258 -> 00: 32: 43,819
"No te vas a quedar más aquí, ¿me oyes?"
296
00: 32: 45,263 -> 00: 32: 51,224
Te vas de aquí.
Arriba, al departamento.
297
00: 32: 53,504 -> 00: 32: 56,564
Tengo todo listo.
He reorganizado los muebles.
298
00: 32: 57,408 -> 00: 33: 00,275
Vas a ver lo lindo que es ahora.
299
00: 33: 02,313 -> 00: 33: 04,281
Estaremos juntos.
300
00: 33: 05,516 -> 00: 33: 09,384
¿Por qué no eres feliz?
301
00: 33: 10,021 -> 00: 33: 11,682
¿Voy a subir?
302
00: 33: 12,724 -> 00: 33: 16,683
Todavía no.
Cuando sea de noche.
303
00: 33: 18,229 -> 00: 33: 19,430
¿Arriba?
304
00: 33: 19,430 -> 00: 33: 20,397
Sí.
305
00: 33: 21,532 -> 00: 33: 26,401
¿Dónde está el Sr. Malina?
Quería decirle adiós.
306
00: 33: 31,042 -> 00: 33: 34,705
¡Te voy a llevar arriba
al departamento!
307
00: 33: 36,647 -> 00: 33: 38,114
¿Qué hay de ellos?
308
00: 33: 39,350 -> 00: 33: 41,552
No van a volver a venir aquí.
309
00: 33: 41,552 -> 00: 33: 44,214
Ellos ya saben que el tío...
310
00: 33: 44,455 -> 00: 33: 46,157
No tengas miedo.
311
00: 33: 46,157 -> 00: 33: 48,022
Debo volver a ellos.
312
00: 33: 48,760 -> 00: 33: 50,625
Tengo que estar con ellos.
313
00: 33: 52,697 -> 00: 33: 54,358
Tengo que volver...
314
00: 33: 55,500 -> 00: 33: 59,163
"...sí, al gueto."
315
00: 33: 59,704 -> 00: 34: 01,262
¿Al gueto?
316
00: 34: 02,306 -> 00: 34: 04,208
El gueto no está más.
317
00: 34: 04,208 -> 00: 34: 08,513
¡Ya no hay nada allí!
¡El levantamiento ya ha terminado!
318
00: 34: 08,513 -> 00: 34: 10,777
Se quedaron sin municiones.
319
00: 34: 14,719 -> 00: 34: 18,985
¡Los alemanes quemaron
las últimas casas! ¡No hay sobrevivientes!
320
00: 34: 23,428 -> 00: 34: 24,690
¡Eso no es cierto!
321
00: 34: 30,735 -> 00: 34: 31,997
¡Estás mintiendo!
322
00: 34: 41,245 -> 00: 34: 44,649
No estoy mintiendo. Fui todos los días.
¡Vi todo!
323
00: 34: 44,649 -> 00: 34: 47,015
"Se defendieron,
pero los alemanes fueron más fuertes."
324
00: 34: 47,552 -> 00: 34: 49,713
"Ya no hay nadie allí, ¿entiendes?"
325
00: 34: 49,954 -> 00: 34: 52,445
¡Dentro de poco van a demoler las paredes!
326
00: 34: 57,495 -> 00: 34: 59,258
¡No! ¡No!
327
00: 38: 51,228 -> 00: 38: 52,718
¡Eres un hombre valiente!
328
00: 38: 58,169 -> 00: 39: 00,535
¿Tienes algo de dinero?
¡Dámelo!
329
00: 39: 10,981 -> 00: 39: 12,539
¿Prefieres a los alemanes?
330
00: 39: 14,685 -> 00: 39: 20,646
"Bueno, hombre muerto, ¿no hay trato?
¿Prefieres a los alemanes?"
331
00: 39: 22,093 -> 00: 39: 23,694
¿Qué es lo que quiere
de ese tipo?
332
00: 39: 23,694 -> 00: 39: 24,995
Es un cazador de judíos.
333
00: 39: 24,995 -> 00: 39: 27,463
"Atrapó un judío,
y quiere desollarlo vivo."
334
00: 39: 28,399 -> 00: 39: 30,060
El tipo ni siquiera va a chillar.
335
00: 39: 31,202 -> 00: 39: 34,205
¡No hagas de cuenta que eres un santo!
¡Sé que tienes a alguien cerca de aquí!
336
00: 39: 34,205 -> 00: 39: 36,673
¿Crees que vivo una buena vida?
337
00: 39: 37,708 -> 00: 39: 39,573
¿Qué? ¡Déjame ir!
338
00: 40: 31,262 -> 00: 40: 32,923
¿Quién es?
339
00: 40: 36,267 -> 00: 40: 37,768
Estuvimos juntos en la cárcel
antes de la guerra.
340
00: 40: 37,768 -> 00: 40: 40,931
Lo encontré en la calle.
Un tipo lo golpeó.
341
00: 40: 41,272 -> 00: 40: 43,240
No podía dejarlo ahí solo.
342
00: 40: 58,222 -> 00: 40: 59,985
Avísales que estoy bajando.
343
00: 41: 31,255 -> 00: 41: 32,256
¿Qué está pasando?
344
00: 41: 32,256 -> 00: 41: 33,557
¿El profesor está abajo?
345
00: 41: 33,557 -> 00: 41: 35,024
Sí.
346
00: 41: 39,063 -> 00: 41: 41,224
"Estúpido, ¿por qué
te escapaste de mí?"
347
00: 41: 44,268 -> 00: 41: 45,826
Profesor...
348
00: 41: 46,270 -> 00: 41: 47,532
¿Qué pasa?
349
00: 41: 49,273 -> 00: 41: 51,833
He traído a un hombre que fue golpeado.
Está tirado arriba.
350
00: 41: 52,209 -> 00: 41: 53,870
"Bien, bien."
351
00: 42: 26,243 -> 00: 42: 27,210
Traje un judío.
352
00: 42: 28,245 -> 00: 42: 29,803
"Bueno, ya voy..."
353
00: 42: 53,203 -> 00: 42: 54,761
¿Dónde estabas antes?
354
00: 42: 59,710 -> 00: 43: 05,171
"Aquí no hay peligro.
Estás a salvo, ¿entiendes?"
355
00: 43: 06,617 -> 00: 43: 08,175
Respóndeme.
356
00: 43: 10,220 -> 00: 43: 13,587
"Aquí no hay peligro, ¿entiendes?"
357
00: 43: 17,227 -> 00: 43: 18,194
Bebe.
358
00: 43: 19,229 -> 00: 43: 22,687
"Siéntate. Siéntate, ¿quieres?"
359
00: 43: 28,639 -> 00: 43: 30,197
Quiero ayudarte.
360
00: 43: 31,542 -> 00: 43: 33,203
¿Estabas escondido de este lado?
361
00: 43: 34,244 -> 00: 43: 36,712
Nadie sobrevivió.
362
00: 43: 38,749 -> 00: 43: 40,808
Todo fue destruido.
363
00: 43: 42,252 -> 00: 43: 45,312
Yo no sabía. Estaba ciego.
364
00: 43: 46,256 -> 00: 43: 48,724
¡No puedes hacer eso!
¡No puedes!
365
00: 43: 49,259 -> 00: 43: 50,726
Empieza a pensar.
366
00: 43: 51,462 -> 00: 43: 53,555
Sólo un hombre puede sufrir
tal calvario...
367
00: 43: 53,998 -> 00: 43: 56,967
...y sólo un hombre
puede volver a elevarse.
368
00: 43: 57,701 -> 00: 43: 59,464
¡Tienes que encontrar
la fuerza para eso!
369
00: 44: 00,204 -> 00: 44: 01,466
Eres un hombre.
370
00: 44: 14,518 -> 00: 44: 16,486
¿Y tú quién eres?
371
00: 44: 18,722 -> 00: 44: 21,088
Gracias.
Lo haré yo mismo.
372
00: 44: 24,728 -> 00: 44: 26,286
Esto va a doler un poco.
373
00: 44: 26,730 -> 00: 44: 28,197
- ¿Profesor?
- ¿Sí?
374
00: 44: 28,432 -> 00: 44: 29,990
- Es la hora.
- ¿Está listo?
375
00: 44: 30,234 -> 00: 44: 31,599
Sí.
376
00: 44: 31,935 -> 00: 44: 33,903
Bien. Voy a traer el resto.
377
00: 44: 42,746 -> 00: 44: 44,213
¿Quieres cubrirme la cara?
378
00: 44: 45,049 -> 00: 44: 47,751
Cualquiera la reconocerá.
379
00: 44: 47,751 -> 00: 44: 52,017
"No quiero ocultarlo,
quiero vendar la herida."
380
00: 44: 52,389 -> 00: 44: 53,947
Cualquiera puede darse cuenta de qué soy.
381
00: 44: 54,191 -> 00: 44: 57,558
No importa cómo sea tu cara.
382
00: 44: 57,995 -> 00: 45: 00,463
"Si entran,
todos los que están aquí morirán..."
383
00: 45: 00,698 -> 00: 45: 02,859
...más allá de sus caras.
384
00: 45: 03,200 -> 00: 45: 04,565
¿Estás diciendo la verdad?
385
00: 45: 05,202 -> 00: 45: 07,762
"Sólo mira a tu alrededor,
ninguno de ellos quiere morir..."
386
00: 45: 08,205 -> 00: 45: 10,867
...pero ninguno de nosotros
morirá por nada.
387
00: 45: 12,409 -> 00: 45: 14,172
¿Ves esto?
388
00: 45: 14,311 -> 00: 45: 18,270
"El precio de nuestra vida,
y el precio de nuestra muerte."
389
00: 45: 19,216 -> 00: 45: 20,683
¿Me crees ahora?
390
00: 45: 52,182 -> 00: 45: 55,242
"Escucha, te quedarás con él."
391
00: 45: 55,786 -> 00: 45: 57,947
Volveré antes de que oscurezca.
392
00: 46: 34,925 -> 00: 46: 36,586
Te quedarás con nosotros.
393
00: 46: 56,380 -> 00: 46: 57,642
¿Quién era?
394
00: 46: 59,082 -> 00: 47: 00,049
¿Quién?
395
00: 47: 00,184 -> 00: 47: 01,742
El que me habló.
396
00: 47: 03,687 -> 00: 47: 05,052
Pankrat.
397
00: 47: 06,490 -> 00: 47: 07,548
¿Pankrat?
398
00: 47: 13,297 -> 00: 47: 14,958
Pankrat.
¿No lo sabías?
399
00: 49: 59,229 -> 00: 50: 02,995
Mantenlos aquí. El niño
le avisará a sus compañeros.
400
00: 50: 03,333 -> 00: 50: 07,237
El hombre que vistió tus heridas no volverá.
401
00: 50: 07,237 -> 00: 50: 08,238
Mantenlos aquí.
402
00: 50: 08,238 -> 00: 50: 09,940
Ese será el momento
de tu fuerza...
403
00: 50: 09,940 -> 00: 50: 13,501
...el momento
de tu salvación.
404
00: 50: 13,643 -> 00: 50: 15,746
Pondrás a tus opresores de rodillas...
405
00: 50: 15,746 -> 00: 50: 17,247
...por las muertes de los inocentes...
406
00: 50: 17,247 -> 00: 50: 19,408
...¡por todo el mal que los hicieron sufrir!
407
00: 50: 19,549 -> 00: 50: 22,211
Este es el momento.

Bio
Hi!
Having been raised in the US and now living in Argentina, I have both native English and Spanish.
I have over 10 year's experience as a translator and English private tutor, which has made me passionate about language in general and translations in particular.
I won't take on an assignment unless I can deliver it:
A) on time
B) faultlessly
As George Eliot says...
All meanings, we know, depend on the key of interpretation.
