Linguist by trade and linguist by nature, my professional translation career includes 25 years as a freelance translator, writer and language teacher.
With a degree in modern languages and translation and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL I have taught English in Spain, France and the UK, including English for academic purposes at university level. I have also authored textbooks for Cengage/NatGeo. I regularly edit and proofread postgraduate dissertations and theses.
My interests lie both in the arts and in life sciences. My recent projects include translating art catalogues and musicology texts as well as business/company profiles in the fields of agriculture and environmental science.
I have a wide knowledge of music, literature and creative writing, having studied these to a high level. I have also pursued my interest in medical science and have completed online courses in medical terminology for translators.
