Experience
Years of experience: 8. Registered at ProZ.com: Sep 2015.
A budding University of Nottingham translation graduate looking for freelance translation work.
An articulate, charismatic and confident individual, equally able to build relationships, work well as part of a team and hit targets on an individual basis.
Possessing an inquisitive and strategic mindset offering a natural desire to question and provide solutions. Excellent language skills with a desire to use these as a means of communication across various cultural and linguistic backgrounds to facilitate learning and understanding for all.
Primarily looking for FR > EN (UK - though other variants, such as US, are available.)
With interests and specialisations including but not limited to: English Literature, Translation Studies, Languages, Tourism, Video Games (including Localisation) & Sports (mainly American Football, Football and ESports).
My interest and love for languages stem from anomalous roots: Video games. I used French to communicate with friends for several years and fell into learning languages in order to make lasting relationships with friends around the world. From this point I was hooked. I decided to apply to study French, Russian (ab inito) and Translation at the University of Nottingham. Whilst there, I received the highest marks for my year in both FR > EN and RU > EN translation.
Throughout my translation career, I have completed many varied pieces, from the University courses and international students' information for the Senegalese Gaston Berger University, to UEFA Champions League documents and information.
