I have been working in the translation industry for the past five years, first as a volunteer translator for an Italian NGO, while I was still studying, and subsequently at a professional level as an in-house translator for a language service provider specialised in market research studies. Nonetheless, I had the chance to translate and proofread a variety of copies, ranging from drug profiles, terms and conditions, privacy policies to website pages, product descriptions, advertisements, etc. Due to this broad variety of texts, I therefore acquired experience both in technical translation and transcreation, coupled with website localization and transcription typing.
In my most recent role, I have worked as an English editor for a business intelligence company, specifically in the pharma analysis division. Here, I was in charge with the editing and publishing of the division’s contents, such as forecast reports, KOL interviews, white papers and opinion pieces. I also had the opportunity to gain some experience with CMS and basic HTML.
Alongside my full-time roles, I also work on an occasional basis as a freelance translator and editor mainly specialised in academic essays and articles (please refer to my CV for some examples), and I have recently started to take the first step as a content editor and creator for website pages. Besides my BA in translation and interpreting, I also hold a BA in graphic design, and once in a while, I work as a logo designer and desktop publishing specialist.
