Jacques R. Savin was born, raised and educated in France. He holds the French equivalent of a BA in French Language as well as a degree from an Institute of Technology.
He arrived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1970, joined the oil exploration industry and worked as a project manager with several US and Canadian based geophysical contractors in many areas of the world, among them, a number of French speaking countries such as Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Niger, Mali, Chad, Guinea, Congo, Gabon, Senegal, Cameroon, CAR, Madagascar, France and Quebec.
He left the industry in 1994 and worked as a freelance translator / interpreter both in France and in Calgary. Additionally, he has logged over 3000 hours teaching the French language on behalf of a world-renowned language school in Calgary.
This translating, interpreting, teaching and international hands on experience enables him to offer a complete and practical French Language Service.
