My name is Patrick Vanderlinden, Dutch (Flemish) is my native language.
I have a passion for languages, and have been building up translation experience for over 40 years now, translating my first book at the age of 19.
I hold a Masters Degree in Computer Science (Licentiaat Informatica) from the V.U. Brussel, a Bachelor in Business Administration (Postgraduaat Bedrijfskunde) from the K.U. Leuven. With about 30 years of experience in ICT, I'm an expert in the domain. My excellent knowledge of contemporary Dutch, French and English and my extensive professional experience make that I feel very comfortable translating documents on many topics, especially in the area of computer science (including software, internet, e-commerce, electronics, telecom, video games).
Food and drink are of special interest to me since, as a second job, I’m an independent whisky broker (www.brachadair.com).
Among my many interests are business, medicine, technology, marketing, science, tourism, photography, history, sports.

My services include Document translation, reviewing & proofreading, Website translation, E-learning translation, Mobile app translation, Software localisation, Subtitling. I’ve also got some experience in DTP (using Adobe Indesign) and I’ve designed websites (using Joomla).
SDL Trados, memoQ, MS Office are just some of the tools of my trade. I own an SDL Trados Studio 2021 licenses and I have recent experience with XTM and Memsource. My IT background allows me to easily adopt new software.
