I have a first-class honours degree in Modern Languages (French and Italian) from the University of Bath. I am also a qualified teacher of English as a foreign Language (CELTA).
Over the past four years, I have lived and worked in Italy, enabling me to reach a high standard of spoken and written expression in Italian and deepening my comprehension of the language. I have worked in translation and education during this time, thus enhancing my expertise in the area of pedagogy and language aquisition.
Over the past six months, I have co-written a textbook to be published in Italy in February 2016 (Loescher editore). The publication provides teaching materials for secondary school students learning history in English, using the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach. My work on this publication has enabled me to develop my writing skills further and deepened my knowledge of the editing and proof-reading processes. |
