The most important thing about me is *excellent* command of the English language. After receiving my degree in electrical engineering (and having studied much in the areas of physics, chemistry, and zoology), I worked in the high-tech/computer industry for 25 years. I have years of hands-on experience as an individual contributor and manager in product management/marketing, market research, and in customer data quality. Within my company I was known for my clear, concise, and grammatically perfect writing skills, which were applied to business plans, brochures, white papers, and many PowerPoint presentations. I am great with Excel and Word also. Give me a document and it will come back appearing as good or better than the original! I work with html and web pages also.

In 2012 I moved to Nicaragua to "give back" to others in a very small and poor town, where I manage a farm raising plantains, pitahaya (dragon fruit), and tilapia - all to provide employment to people who want to work. Of course I have also been focused on Spanish fluency. Because I understand English grammar very well (I also teach English to native Spanish speakers) and have excellent spelling, I bring those areas of focus to my Spanish study as well. I'm not going to miss the tenses used in an original text, for example.

Translation services are an opportunity for me to gain some income as my wife and I choose to accept no salary from our non-profit, Sheep Not Goats.
