I am currently looking for any translation, proofreading, interpreting, or audiovisual adaptation work (subtitling, dubbing, and voiceover) with translation agencies or direct clients. My current working languages are French and English, which are both my native languages.
I hold a Masters degree from the university of Paris Ouest - Nanterre, in French law and English law, thanks to which I gained invaluable knowledge of both legal systems. During my last year of studies within this degree, I specialized in European Union law and International law - this provided me with an extensive insight of various international law systems and mechanisms such as the United Nations and the European Union and their functioning, as well as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. I am currently pursuing the MA in Translation and Interpreting at Swansea University, in Wales, with an aim to specialize in legal translation and interpreting and health translation and interpreting.
I already have some experience of translation : I have been an intern at the Association Française du Génie Parasismique (French Earthquake Engineering Association) and have translated a number of documents for researchers at the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), including a research article by Marc Loriol related to stress, burnout and workplace harassment. I am currently working as a proofreader and translator for translation agency ComTranslations.
I closely follow current affairs, international affairs and politics. Among my other interests are tennis, which I play at a competitive level, various other sports such as cricket and rugby union, music (I play the piano and the guitar), film and travelling.
Thank you for reading me and please feel free to get in touch!
