I have been bilingual and bicultural all my life. Born in Brooklyn, NY,(1930) raised and educated both in Mexico City and New York City. Attended Tulane University in New Orleans. My mother was Irish-American and my father a Mexican diplomat and author. Have worked for the Mexican Govt. Tourism Office in Tucson, Houston and Atlanta. Taught Spanish to executives and children, translated and did simultaneous interpreting constantly during my work as Tourism Delegate. Served as General Manager at top resort hotels in Acapulco, Manzanillo and Can Cun, dealing mostly with American and Canadian clients.
Worked at the Canadian Embassy (commercial section) in Mexico City, managed two major
Golf and Country Clubs in Mexico City. Have written 50+ poems and am preparing an edition of them in both languages. Have translated many technical and legal documents
as part and parcel of my different jobs, and also one of my fathers six books on topics of paraphsycology and metaphysics.
