Paulistur realmente não acabou:
suas funções, com cortes de
pessoal, foram incorporadas ao
próprio Anhembi.
Porém, aquilo já serviu a Jânio
para dizer que tinha “exterminado”
a empresa e os feitos daquele
João Doria, naquele “antro” da
Paulistur.
O último projeto organizado por
João na secretaria de governo foi o
do Cometa Halley. Havia, desde o
ano anterior, grande expectativa
sobre o cometa, objeto celeste
luminoso cuja passagem pela
Terra só ocorre a cada 76 anos, e
que seria avistado novamente em
fevereiro de 1986. Os astrônomos
diziam que o hemisfério sul seria o
melhor lugar para vê-lo, e quanto
mais ao sul, melhor.
Translation - English João remained at the Department of Tourism and Leisure of São
Paulo until the last day, when Jânio Quadros took office in January
1986. In practice, Paulistur didn´t really end; it´s functions were
incorporated into Anhembi itself, only with some staff cuts. However,
that already was enough for Jânio to say that he had exterminated
the company and the deeds of that João Doria, in that of
Paulistur. The last project organized by João in the government
department was Halleys Comet. Since the previous year, there had been high expectation about the comet, a bright celestial object whose passage past Earth only occurs every 76 years and which would be sighted again in February 1986. Astronomers said that the southern
hemisphere would be the best place to see it from and the further
south, the better.

Furthermore, I have been a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language since 1975 and a teacher of Portuguese for Foreigners for many years.
