Source text - English Protective coatings need to adhere to steel and other substrates, even at extremely high temperatures. When a building catches fire, intumescent coatings heat up and expand 10 to 75 times their original thickness, so 1 millimeter of coating could expand to as much as 40 to 50 millimeters. Without strong adhesion, the coating flakes off, exposing steel to intense heat. When steel heats up to 1,000°F/535°C (the temperature a building fire quickly and easily exceeds), it loses half its strength. At 1,000°F/535°C, a steel beam supporting 200 tons can only support half that weight, putting the structure at risk of collapsing. In a fire, steel softens and deforms, so much so that if heated to 1,200°F/650°C you could easily bend a giant steel beam. Strong adhesion in acrylic copolymer latex paint allows the coating to stick to the steel, even when heat causes the steel to lose shape. Additionally, the intumescent coating keeps the steel from reaching those dangerous temperatures by insulating the substrate, even at elevated ambient temperatures, such as in a fire.

La forte aderenza della vernice a base di copolimero acrilico al lattice consente al rivestimento di attaccarsi all’acciaio, anche quando il calore lo deforma. Inoltre, il rivestimento intumescente impedisce all’acciaio di raggiungere temperature dannose isolando lo strato sottostante, anche a temperature ambiente elevate, come durante un incendio.

Source text - English 1 • Insert the two windscreen tabs into the slots on the bonnet. Turn the windscreen in the direction of the arrow.
2 • Fasten the windscreen using the two screws supplied.
3 • Join the two parts of the steering wheel.
4 • Insert the horn in the central hole in the steering wheel following the instructions in its packaging.
5 • Apply sticker No. 6. Insert the steering wheel onto the steering rod as shown in the figure.
6 • Fix the steering wheel using the screw and bolt supplied, taking care to insert the screw into the round hole and the bolt in the hexagonal hole.
7 • Insert the toy key in its slot in the dashboard.
8 • Apply sticker No. 2. Install the bumper by inserting the lower tabs into the two slots on the body first and then by fitting the two upper bushes.
9 • Fasten the bumper using the two screws supplied.
10 • Install the seat bases by inserting the 2 U-shaped tube in the seat supports.
11 • Place the right-hand base you just assembled on the right-hand side of the vehicle, as shown in the figure (the side is indicated on the lower part of each base). Proceed in the same way for the other base.
12 • Fasten each base using the 2 screws provided.
13 • Loosen the knobs underneath the seats. Place the seats aligning them with the holes according to the child’s height. The vehicle has 2 positions (see diagram). Fasten the seats to the bases by means of the previously loosened knobs.

Source text - French L’EPR montre que le maintien des opérations dans le brouillard dense d’eau est primordial vis-à- vis de la sécurité. Les alimentations en eau doivent faire l’objet d’un pilotage automatique approprié en opération (présence d’eau, débit, arrêt automatique par manque d’eau,..) et d’une surveillance adaptée par les équipes de maintenance. Le réglage des débits d’eau étant réalisé par la maintenance et non les opérateurs il doit être consigné après concertation avec les opérateurs et le responsable sécurité les débits minimum d’eau à respecter. Il est à noter que la fiabilité sera très dépendante des débitmètres mais aussi de l’ensemble des boucles de sécurité attachées à ces débitmètres. Lorsque les études d’exécution seront bien avancées, il conviendra de faire une vérification de la fiabilité de l’alimentation en eau et des arrêts en cas de manque. L’EPR montre aussi que les labyrinthes doivent être particulièrement « surveillés » (en conception et exploitation) car les « recoins » où de la matière pyrotechnique peut s’introduire sont des causes d’accidents que l’accidentologie révèle (sur toutes les machines et non exclusivement sur les broyeurs). Le choix d’une graisse non dissoute par de l’eau chargée est impératif ainsi que la surveillance de non apparition de conditions d’amorçage (frottement, montée en température au niveau des labyrinthes).

La scelta di un lubrificante impermeabile all’acqua è imperativa, così come la prevenzione delle condizioni di innesco (attrito, surriscaldamento dei circuiti).

I am Rossana Mongiovì, I come from Italy and have a degree in modern languages and literatures. I spent my third year in France studying at Poitiers university, where I got to improve my french, my level is currently a C2. After the degree I attended a specialisation school for translators, where I had the opportunity to learn from the most qualified italian translators and to work on several literary genres, such as novels, essays, tales, children's literature, post-colonial literature and poetry. I'm currently attending a master in technical-scientific translation, in order to acquire more specific skills in this field.
Besides my literary studies, I have a little experience in technical translation and localisation, particularly in biomedics, architecture, gastronomy, tourism and advertising; I occasionaly work as an interpreter either. My combinations are english > italian and french > italian. I'm either available to work as a freelancer or to relocate to another country.
