Indonesian to English: Abstract of Resarch on CSR General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Petroleum Eng/Sci
Translation - English The research method is a qualitative and descriptive. The research found that the company's CSR implemented four programs which do not led to a good practice of community development. Many programs implemented did not align with community needs, lacking of transparency – which then led to misuse of fund, and no impact on affected communities' welfare. Poverty in natural resource rich area is a common phenomena known as as the 'resource course'. It is called a 'curse' as the natural resources were supposed to be a blessing for a prosper and prosperous community. However, the opposite is often happen. This resource curse is believed can be solved by many things, in which one of them, is the company's role through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
English to Indonesian: Introduction to Public Participation Principles General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Government / Politics
Source text - English Open and inclusive public participation processes stand in contrast to generally opaque private lobbying of public officials by narrow and often well endowed interest groups: they can give greater voice in a more transparenct manner to a broader range of citizens and civil society organizations who have a stake in and should benefit from public resources. Developments in information and communications technology have dramatically lowered the cost of direct interaction between citizens and non-state actors and governments while also creating entirely new spaces for citizen input and deliberation in government policy-making.
Indonesian to English: Study On The Dynamics Of Changes In A Household During Covid-19 In 34 Provinces In Indonesia General field: Social Sciences Detailed field: Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
Translation - English The Government of Indonesia has issued a number of policies in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic emergency situation, including policies on social and physical distancing, Work from Home (KdR) and Learning from Home (BdR). These policies have various impacts that are unique to women in the context of the their position in the family and as workers. The World Economic Forum in 2020 states that although the number of male mortality is higher than women in COVID-19 case, women's social and economic vulnerability due to the pandemic is higher. This is because there are more women as health workers, responsible for family care, and experienced double burden on domestic work during a pandemic. Meanwhile, in Indonesian socio-cultural construction, various decision making in the family and the community is still mostly held by men, including decisions in the household. Conservative religious understanding, which still believes that domestic work and care are women's job, worsens women's role in this pandemic situation.
