There were 260 responses to the 2018 survey. Approximately 80% of the survey respondents were portfolio managers, and 20% were buy-side and sell-side analysts; 48% focused on the US, while most of the others focused on Europe or invested globally.
Collectively, these respondents directly manage more than $500 billion in assets and represent firms that manage $12 trillion to $15 trillion in assets.

Survey respondents’ expectation for average annual TSR over the next three years was 5.6%.
By a ratio of approximately 2 to 1, investors reported spending more time making investment decisions, taking a more value-oriented approach, and exiting positions more quickly.
More than one-third (37%) of respondents said that they had adopted a slower and more deliberate investment approach over the past three years, compared with only about one-fifth (21%) who said that they had adopted a faster or more ad hoc approach.

The purpose of this study was to report the efficacy of topical cyclosporine 0.05% at a frequency of 3 to 4 times daily in severe dry eye disease.
We retrospectively identified a cohort of patients with severe dry eye disease who had shown inadequate response to at least a 4-month course of treatment with twice-daily use of topical cyclosporine 0.05% but who showed significant improvement to more frequent dosing.
Twenty-two patients, including 13 patients with ocular graft versus host disease and 9 patients with primary or secondary Sjögren’s syndrome, were included. After a minimum of a 2-month course of treatment with more frequent dosing of cyclosporine 0.05% (3 times a day in 7 patients and 4 times a day in 15 patients), overall dry eye symptoms were improved in 15 (68.2%) patients (9 patients with ocular graft versus host disease and 6 patients with Sjögren’s syndrome).
Mean corneal fluorescein staining scores (National Eye Institute scale of 0–15) improved (decreased) from the baseline (precyclosporine use) by −3.5 (range, 0 to −7) in patients with ocular graft versus host disease (P ≤ 0.0008) and −2.8 (range, 0 to −5) in patients with Sjögren’s syndrome (P ≤ 0.001).
After treatment with high-frequency use of cyclosporine 0.05%, the global physician assessment of dry eye status was favorable (improved) in 16 (72.7%) patients. Three (13.6%) patients reported new-onset symptoms of burning or irritation with the use of high-frequency dosing of topical cyclosporine. No other associated adverse effect was reported.
These data suggest that patients with severe dry eye may require more frequent dosing of topical cyclosporine 0.05% than twice daily.

Ziel dieser Studie war es, die Wirksamkeit von topischem Cyclosporin 0,05 % in einer Häufigkeit von 3 bis 4 Mal täglich bei schweren Formen des trockenen Auges zu untersuchen.
Wir haben retrospektiv eine Patientengruppe mit schweren Formen des trockenen Auges identifiziert, die auf eine mindestens viermonatige Behandlung mit zweimal täglicher Anwendung von topischem Cyclosporin 0,05 % nur unzureichend ansprachen, aber bei häufigerer Anwendung eine deutliche Verbesserung zeigten.
Zweiundzwanzig Patienten, darunter 13 Patienten mit okulärer Graft-versus-Host-Reaktion und 9 Patienten mit primärem oder sekundärem Sjögren-Syndrom, wurden in die Studie einbezogen. Nach einer mindestens zweimonatigen Behandlung mit häufigerer Anwendung von Cyclosporin 0,05 % (dreimal täglich bei 7 Patienten und viermal täglich bei 15 Patienten) verbesserten sich die Symptome des trockenen Auges bei 15 (68,2 %) Patienten (9 Patienten mit okulärer Graft-versus-Host-Reaktion und 6 Patienten mit Sjögren-Syndrom) insgesamt.
Die Mittelwerte der Fluorescein-Färbung der Hornhaut (Skala des National Eye Institute von 0-15) verbesserten (verringerten) sich im Vergleich zum Ausgangswert (vor der Einnahme von Cyclosporin) bei Patienten mit okulärer Graft-versus-Host-Reaktion um -3,5 (Bereich, 0 bis -7) (P ≤ 0,0008) und bei Patienten mit Sjögren-Syndrom um -2,8 (Bereich, 0 bis -5) (P ≤ 0,001).
Nach der Behandlung mit der hochfrequenten Anwendung von Cyclosporin 0,05 % war die Gesamtbeurteilung des Arztes zum Zustand des trockenen Auges bei 16 (72,7 %) Patienten günstig (verbessert). Drei (13,6 %) Patienten berichteten über neu aufgetretene Symptome wie Brennen oder Reizungen bei der hochfrequenten Anwendung von topischem Cyclosporin. Es wurden keine weiteren Nebenwirkungen gemeldet.

I grew up bilingual, with German and Spanish being my mother tongues (to
be more precise, it's my mother’s tongue), so my passion for languages “wurde
mir in die Wiege gelegt”, as we like to say in German (I was born into the
trade). I started my bachelor's degree at Brandenburg University of Technology
Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany) in Environmental Management, fully in English. To
be accepted, I passed my TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with 98
points. My master's degree at the University of Giessen followed, gaining
extensive knowledge in the life sciences (bioinformatics, chemistry,
biomaterials, and biotechnology). After 14 years of translation experience, I
