English to French: Rapport d'activité de 2016 de la Cour
Source text - English 1. It gives me great pleasure to present the Activity Report of the Court for the period 1 January to 31 December, 2016, to the 33rdOrdinary Session of the Permanent Representatives’ Committee. The Report is divided into 4 Sections, as follows:
- Section I is the Introduction, covered in paragraphs 1 – 8. This section indicates the status of ratification of the Protocol establishing the Court and the deposit of the Declaration accepting the competence of the Court to receive cases from individuals and NGOs. The State Parties to the Protocol and those that have deposited the declaration are listed in Tables 1and 2, respectively.
- Section II, covered in paragraphs 9 – 38, describes the judicial and non-judicial activities undertaken by the Court in 2016;
- Section II, which is covered in paragraphs 39 – 42, reports on the Host agreement with the Host State, including the process of construction of the permanent premises of the Court.
- Section IV, covered in paragraphs 43 – 60, assesses the work of the Court for the period and makes recommendations for the effective discharge of the Court’s mandate.
2. The Report contains 2 annexures, on the Composition of the Court as at December 2016 and the Draft Declaration on the Tenth Anniversary on the Operationalization of the Court.
3. As the Report has already been circulated to Your Excellencies, I wish to draw the kind attention of their Excellencies only to the areas where the Court needs action and decisions from Council.
Translation - French 1. Il m’est particulièrement agréable de présenter le Rapport d'activité de la Cour pour la période allant du 1er janvier au 31 décembre 2016, à la 33ème Session ordinaire du Comité des Représentants permanents. Le rapport est divisé en 4 sections, comme suit:
- La section I constitue l'introduction, traitée aux paragraphes 1 à 8. Cette section indique l'état de ratification du Protocole portant création de la Cour et le dépôt de la Déclaration acceptant la compétence de la Cour, pour recevoir des affaires d'individus et d'ONG. Les États parties au Protocole et ceux qui ont déposé la déclaration figurent respectivement dans les tableaux 1 et 2.
- La section II, visée aux paragraphes 9 à 38, expose les activités judiciaires et non judiciaires entreprises par la Cour en 2016.
- La section III, qui est traitée aux paragraphes 39 à 42, rend compte de l'accord de siège avec l'État hôte, y compris le processus de construction des locaux permanents de la Cour.
- La section IV, visée aux paragraphes 43 à 60, évalue les travaux de la Cour pour la période concernée et fait des recommandations pour l'exécution effective de son mandat.
2. Le rapport contient 2 annexes sur la composition de la Cour en décembre 2016 et le projet de déclaration sur le dixième anniversaire de l'opérationnalisation de la Cour.
