I was born in Luanda-Angola and I am a native Portuguese speaker.  I came from a family where my father was a water analytic for Angolan water services and my mother, a merchandiser. I have never thought about following my parents’ footsteps professionally, instead I was always interested in living abroad and learning about people and different cultures, having that in mind, my passion for learning languages started to increase simply for survival and communication purposes, however, it soon became an interest and subsequently I turned it into a source of income. I am currently in my 3^rd and final year of BA in translation studies at the London Metropolitan University UK and working as a community interpreter for Portuguese and Spanish. I am looking for a translation internship position within the translation industries to fulfill a long-time ambition of becoming a professional translator and interpreter as well as helping others to overcome language barriers.
