I am a fully qualified (NCTJ NCE-accredited) journalist, having worked in regional and local newspapers in the United Kingdom more than 10 years.

I speak Swedish and English to a native level and work in the following language pairs: Sv-En and En-Sv. I also translate from Norwegian into English and Swedish. I was born in Sweden, to Swedish parents, and attended an English-speaking school in Stockholm from an early age. I moved to the United Kingdom aged 17, in 1998.

My day-to-day working language is English.

I have been carrying out translation work for many years now, and my most recent assignments have involved translating marketing materials for the sustainable energy market, general legal, Land Registry documentation, deeds of gift, general letters and correspondence, as well as marriage certificates.

My 'day job' as a news reporter sees me cover many, varying topics. I cover medical inquests and criminal court cases, where accuracy and legal compliance is crucial, as well as political committees and meetings, writing sometime-complex reports. I am equally at home writing in a more relaxed feature-style.

I am a hard-worker for whom strict hourly deadlines are part of the work I have been doing for the past nine years.

I have recently enrolled on a proofreading and editing course to further my professional development.
