After a BA and an MA in Japanese language and culture at Ca’ Foscari University, I have recently earned my PhD in Japanese Studies from the University of Cambridge, with a dissertation on Japanese Early-modern literature. Before joining Cambridge, I was a research student at Senshu University (Tokyo) with a MEXT scholarship.
I have experience translating from Japanese into Italian and from Japanese into English (legal documents and contracts, passages of books and articles, pharmaceutical documents, instructions, etc.). I have also worked as an interpreter in different fields from 2010. I have taught both Japanese and Italian at higher education level.
I am currently working for Alexa Data services (Amazon), transcribing, translating, proofreading and working with machine translation with Japanese, English and Italian. I am available as a translator and as an interpreter.
