La incorporación de la vacunación antigripal anual al Calendario Nacional de Vacunación en Argentina, mediante la Resolución ministerial 35/2011, con el propósito de disminuir la internación, complicaciones, secuelas y mortalidad en la población en riesgo en Argentina, comprende como población objetivo a los niños de seis a veinticuatro meses, embarazadas, madres de niños menores de seis meses y personal de salud. Se ha dado continuidad, además, a la estrategia de vacunación para personas entre dos y 64 años con factores de riesgo y para todos los mayores de 65 años.
Durante el año 2013, se continuó con la vacunación antigripal, iniciando la misma en el mes de marzo.
En la Figura 1 se presenta las coberturas alcanzadas por grupo de riesgo, que fueron muy satisfactorias en el personal de salud y embarazadas; requiriendo mejorar las coberturas en el grupo pediátrico.
En embarazadas se lograron coberturas totales de 94,1%. La Figura 2 muestra las coberturas en embarazadas alcanzadas a los 6 meses de inicio de la vacunación y el avance de la inmunización en este grupo hasta enero de 2014, al prolongarse el periodo de la vacunación, motivo por el cual se superó el 100% de cobertura en algunas jurisdicciones (Figura 2).

Se vacunaron, más de 2.300.000 personas entre 2 y 64 años con factores de riesgo y se aplicaron más de 805.000 vacunas antigripales en mayores de 65 años.
Los niños entre 6 meses y 2 años debían recibir esquema con dos dosis. Las coberturas de primeras dosis fueron de 77,4% y de segundas dosis, de 46,1%.

Argentina's inclusion of annual influenza vaccinations in the National Vaccination Schedule, through Ministerial Resolution 35/2011, whose purpose is the reduction of hospitalizations, complications, consequences and mortality in the at-risk population in Argentina, encompasses the target populations of children between six and twenty-four months of age, pregnant women, mothers of children under the age of six months and health care workers. Furthermore, the strategy of immunizing individuals with risk factors between two and 64 years of age, as well as all those over 65, is being continued.
In 2013 influenza vaccination was continued, the same having begun in the month of March.
Figure 1 shows attained coverage by risk group, which was quite satisfactory among health care workers and pregnant women, but must be improved among children.
Among pregnant women a total coverage of 94.1% was achieved . Figure 2 shows attained coverage among pregnant women 6 months after the beginning of the vaccination program as well as the immunization advance among this group up to January 2014, the vaccination period having been extended, which explains why coverage surpassed 100% in certain jurisdictions (Figure 2).

NATIONAL MEAN: 94.1%
Over 2,300,000 individuals with risk factors between 2 and 64 years of age were vaccinated, and more than 805,000 influenza vaccines were administered to individuals over 65 years of age.
