Jeanette Soria is a technical and legal translator, interpreter, writer and movement researcher. Her studies in social and legal sciences at Landívar University School of Law in Guatemala have led her to get involve in multiple organizations such as the International Mission of Justice and the Center for Justice's Administration in Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Concerned about social causes, in 2015, she became part of the online volunteer's program for the United Nations. She had collaborated with the hard work of enabling effective communication among countries ever since. As a movement researcher, she has supported several Education Programs for Contemporary Dance Teachers hosted in Guatemala City. In 2017, she became part of the creative writers’ team for the online magazine au-di-tions.com. She is passionate no only about language but about the countless possibilities for communication, and so she spends her nights deconstructing the body language through the practice of the dance form Contact Improvisation. She truly believes collaboration is the key stone for communication for it comes with the acknowledgement and respect for the other. She is currently specializing in literary translation filled with curiosity and excitement for the vast universe of words. |
