I’m Helen and I live in Lincolnshire with my husband and daughter.
My love of languages started in school, with my amazing French teacher. She really brought languages to life and made lessons fun. My first trip to France was with school on an exchange visit and I just loved the way of life and the language.
As a part of my degree, I spent a year in Limoges as a student at the university and had an amazing time. I really mastered the language and enjoyed the culture. This year really started my love of travel and finding out about different cultures.
I am able to offer French to English translation, and have experience of translating many different types of document, including business literature, court reports, personal letters and instruction manuals. My favourite translations are book translations and I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to translate a children’s book and one on music.
I am available to proofread documents which have been translated from French into English. Often, we don’t see our own errors when we are writing and checking our work. It is always good practice to have someone else cast their eye over our writing. I have a keen eye for detail and do a lot of reading, so am able to pick up errors very quickly.
