I'm a dual citizen living in the lovely little country of Belgium. I've been translating since 2015 and started my business, cellardoor translations, in 2018. Language and writing are two of my great passions, and they allow me to explore a third - research. Context is everything, and I relish the chance to research my topic so that each word choice is the right one and I have a good feel for my subject.
My favourite translation projects allow me to exercise my creativity. I've had the good fortune to work with clients in the arts sector and the tourism and hospitality sector where I've really been able to indulge in I'm good at and let my natural talents shine. Every project is a new adventure, from real estate websites, to green energy marketing, to a tribute to an artist's oeuvre.
I really care about my work, so at the end of the day, you should always expect a translation that's been thoroughly checked for language, style, and content. If there are factual errors or logical inconsistencies, I'll let you know. The same goes for any errors I see in the original Dutch. It's all part of the all-in service I offer.
