Welcome to my profile!

I'm Stefano, a native Italian speaker, and I have a very big passion for European languages, especially for German. I hab been studying during a lot of time (13 years) in order that foreign languages could be the focus of my professional life. I'm meant to work with them. I will very briefly try to show you why! From where did my passion, especially for German, arise? From the age of five to ten my family and I used to travel every August from the south of Italy, where I was born and I spent my childhood, to Trentino. I remember I liked so much to try to repeat as best as possible the specific accent of that area, which sounds completly different from my native region's one. I got it almost perfectly only after two days we were located there. I can ensure you, Italian dialects can be defined as different languages.

Because of geographic aproximity of that area to Austria, Switzerland and south Germany, we had many opportunities to go on trip through this big natural zone. The wild and healthy atmosphere I breathed there, made of mountains, little rivers and castles, left a mark on me for life. I wanted to feel as part of it mastering the language which the inhabitants spoke. It was just that period of my life when I decided unconsciously I would enjoy my life through German and foreign languages.

Today I'm 33 years old and until now not a day has gone by without increasing my translation skills! Through my linguistic and literary studies (high school, Bachelor, Master, PhD) I learned deep translation competences in the fields of literature, arts (painting), history and philosophy. Through some direct working  experiences in  the sector of tourism, gastronomy and food service and in close contact with guests from Germany and other European countries I could learn more skills.
