I
am a beginning translator who is also a doctoral candidate in Japanese
literature and media studies with fluent (N1) Japanese language skills and
professional expertise in technical writing and editing for the IT industry. I
have studied at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies in
Yokohama and worked part time for a Japanese company as a language checker. I am fluent in spoken and written Japanese,
including colloquialisms, idioms, and academic terminology. I have excellent
native English writing and communication skills. I am quick to learn and
enthusiastic about learning new software and technical skills.
