have always had two great passions: languages and the human body!
Both medicine and translation are about people, communication, the
need
for rigour and the ability to see the wood for the trees.

I
am an English native speaker; my principal language pair is
German-English though I also speak French, Spanish, Polish and Arabic
to varying degrees. I
am a linguist at heart and never stop wanting to increase my breadth
and depth of knowledge.

I
have a UK
medical
degree and postgraduate research experience with additional
university qualifications in German. I
am widely read on translation theory and exploring the opportunity
for professional training and certification.

I
remain a practising hospital doctor in the UK and have clinical
experience here and in Germany. My
professional background allows me to specialise in medical,
scientific and health-related texts for both professional and lay
audiences. Though my dual passions and skills in health and
languages, I love to help spread knowledge and ideas in a precise,
clear
and
engaging way.
