Source text - English Este trabalho apresenta o design de jogos digitais, com o estudo de caso de redesign da interface do jogo digital online Dauntless do estúdio Phoenix Labs lançado para variadas plataformas de games em 2019. Este jogo, após seu lançamento, apesar de ter sido bem recebido pela crítica e pelo seu público-alvo, foi alvo de críticas referente a sua interface. Através de uma pesquisa bibliográfica fundamentada em assuntos como game design, UX design (User Experience) , UI design (User Interface) e da metodologia projetual especializada em trabalhos digitais denominada “Projeto E”, o design digital foi elaborado um projeto de redesign para demonstrar como uma interface estruturada de acordo com princípios e métodos de design pode elevar a experiência lúdica de um jogo digital e, potencialmente, melhorar sua performance mercadológica. O projeto usou a metodologia projetual especializada em trabalhos digitais denominada “Projeto E”.
Translation - Portuguese This work presents the study of digital design, using the digial online game Dauntless from Phoenix Labs studio, launched in 2019 to various gaming platforms, as a case study to redesign its user interface. This game, despite garnering positive reception from critics and its target audience after its release, received criticism towards its user interface. Through bibliographic research founded on subjetcs such as game design, UX (User Experience) design, UI (User Interface) design and the project methodology for digital works known as "Project E", this work has resulted in a redesign project to demonstrate how an interface structured in according to design principles and methods can elevate the ludic experience of a digital game and, potentially, improve its performance in the market. The project made use of a methodology especialized in digital works names "Project E".
