Language learning and teaching has always been one of my biggest passions in life. Since getting hooked on Latin in my junior year of High School, I have embarked on a quest to become familiar with as many world languages as I can, in the process making the final team selection round of the North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad in 2012 and taking courses and exams in 7 different languages in my high school and college years. My life have since taken a downturn, as well as a few rough hits, but what I have achieved in the past gives me confidence both in the services that I advertise now, and hope in regaining my former form as a first rate linguist and language connoisseur, a turnaround that must start today. I am a China-based freelance translator and subtitler who is currently a freelance translator at Gengo and a volunteer for TED translations. I specialize in creating high-quality English captions and English to Simplified Chinese subtitles in the IT training domain, as well as translating technical documents and training manuals in the English to Simplified Chinese language pair. My rates and schedule are flexible. Life has taught me, however, that dignity is nonnegotiable, and no one can take that away from you without your consent. Thank you for stopping by. |
