Bio
In 2014 I decided to migrate to Uruguay with my family. I closed my legal practice in Venezuela, and have been dedicated full time to work as a freelance translator, editor, and writer.

I have worked as a professional translator for over 20 years. I have a degree in Translation and Interpretation from Marymount Manhattan College (New York), and later on graduated from Law School in 2003, specializing in Public International Law. I just finished a Masters Program in Public International Law in Uruguay, for which I am writing my thesis.

I became certified as a Public Interpreter in Venezuela for the Spanish-English language pair in 1998, and then for the Spanish-Portuguese language pair in 2009.

The combination of my two carreers has given me the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics from many different cultures, allowing me to develop extensive vocabularies in all three languages. I have done extensive work in translation, localization, proofreading, editing, and writing of literary and creative materials, technical manuals, and legal documents.

In addition to translation and writing skills, over years of practice and experience I have developed some abilities that are a good complement: strong online and offline research skills; a solid management of MS Office programs; good management and understanding of the Internet and online media; and great organizational and time management skills.

I have enjoyed sucessful long-term freelance relationships with several clients, and also handle one-time jobs with the same care. I will bring the same professionalism and hard work to all projects in ProZ.
